It doesn't matter what the market conditions are for gambling. I always gamble with stablecoins, which is why I never check the market conditions when I gamble. And if I use other coins like BNB for low fees and fast transaction completion. Then I instantly convert the stablecoins to BNB and deposit them. So whether the market is in a bull run or a bear season doesn't matter to me. But I gamble much less now that I don't worry about market conditions.

Bull and bear market won't affect a gambler except you're a trader.

It's make sense for a trader to not gamble during bear market because their main source came from trading and they might earn less during bear market, which mean they have less money to spent.

I'm sure most people aren't full time traders, hence bull or bear market shouldn't affect them.

The psychological behaviors of these sets of players in the prediction market over chasing quick profits is usually paranoid whenever the lines are red because, it signals double risks for the players that as the market maybe unpredictable, over uncertainty, you are also psychologically otherwise skeptic that even when you wins your bets, the value will be affected in the very Dip volatile market and same time, you are not sure if you will win which gives your thoughts the two sides worrying about how you can make it successful as a quick profit player (gambler/trader).

If the crypto or Bitcoin you have is meant for invedting their is no need for you to tamper with it to gamble whether the market is going up or down. For me I think most gamblers dont even keep volatile asset for gambling,  it is mostly in usdt and maybe Bitcoin is needed they can convert it from Bitcoin to usdt. Volatile asset like Bitcoin is for hodling and if you are not hodling I dont see reason why you have volatile asset for gambling which can fall anytime.

I think the main purpose of gambling is not to make money, gambling should be mainly for entertainment, so there is no need to stop gambling when the market falls. If it is for entertainment purposes, you can gamble continuously in any situation and there is no need to stop. And if we gamble to make money or in the hope of getting rich quickly, as a result, we have to gamble depending on the fall in the market, I think it is absolutely wrong to gamble for this purpose, as the risk of losing money can increase many times.

I don't understand your point. Why would bear affect my state of mind more then bull when it comes to gambling? Wouldn't it make less sense to play in crypto casinos during the bull market, when you can literally just win more (in fiat value) by holding?

During these years in crypto, volatility isn't affecting me in same ways as it used to. I mean i still feel it, but i also expect it because swings have happened countless of times already. But imho gambling is just something separate from crypto markets and it's my time to tune out from it and relax. I don't think about it during my gym, or when i am talking with friends or while watching a movie either.
Any market dip create a financial stressful situation for those who gamble and trade cryptocurrency. The best strategy is to stop gambling during dips if at all, or keep on gambling with an equivalent of fiat value.

No one prays for emotional turmoil when the need for making sound decisions is imperative. As such, one can decide to use a fiat platform or wait until the market recovers as part of management of risk.
For some who don't care about the dip or pump, gambling anytime is sure and controlled if at all it is seen as a serious and disciplined activity.

Maybe most of us even make use of USDT to gamble just to be precise on the amount of rate we are taking to use for the purpose of gambling, so either the market rises or fall, we should not be much disturbed because it does not stops us from gambling, we should rather focus more on what we play and use the desired currency being supported by the casino to gamble.

I think the decision to gamble at a crypto casino during a recession largely depends on the rationalization of the gamble. I think that the risk-taking behavior in cryptocurrency trading and gambling is almost the same. Especially when market volatility is low. So if the crypto chart is down and you are just betting to cut losses or boost morale, then you are definitely in a dangerous position. Alternatively, if you want to gamble crypto for entertainment purposes and have the right mindset, then you should be fully aware of your betting limits. In this case, you can definitely bet again, but in smaller amounts and more modestly. My point is; during a crypto market crash, before spinning the wheel or placing any bets, take a few minutes to assess your mental state and consider how much money you are spending.

Yes, man, bear markets mess with our heads because the constant drop activates "reverse FOMO" and anxiety, and then that desire to try to recover losses becomes more frequent because each satoshi that goes away seems even more precious and difficult to recover. I actually never stopped playing, but I reduce my bankroll.

Another tip, if you want to have less of that pressure of seeing your coins devaluing... focus on stables, then the impact of volatility is less....

On the other hand, I think that with sports betting the dip is smaller when the market is down... with less hype in crypto, you can focus more clearly on analyzing the odds without the distractions of crazy bumps.

In short, those who don't want excitement or risks with the market in betting should focus only on fiat betting, but then it loses its charm Cheesy

This is right. If the market is bearish you can start shorting or just go play slots or roullete or even sports bet because the bearish market has nothing to do with them, so you can keep playing as normal. If you throw dices it doess not matter if bitcoin is going up or down, only math matters and so you are in the fate of odds and luck. Grin

I don't understand your point. Why would bear affect my state of mind more then bull when it comes to gambling? Wouldn't it make less sense to play in crypto casinos during the bull market, when you can literally just win more (in fiat value) by holding?

I understand his idea because a bearish market gives negative thoughts which can make you have less emotional control when gambling. This is if you also trade in the market of course.

Volatility can't be used as an excuse to stop gambling.

Bearish, use fiat or stable coin.

Bullish, use volatile alts to gambline while also taking profit due to the its price increase at the same time.

The volatility won't be stopping gamblers to gamble as their main target to multiple their money in short time, not to timing the market.

Simple as that.

A gambler is always been a gambler. There is no definite market status when we'll stop or continue. For as long as we have the funds to do it, we're going to gamble.

While it's a matter of concern when the market drops because it could affect the spare that we have or the specific funds that's allocated to gambling.

I have gambled regardless of the market condition and that's why it's not a thing for me even if it dips or rises.

This only affects players that is using non-stablecoins.  While it is a good measure to avoid loss even before gambling, people like me who use USDT or stablecoins to play in the casino does not care much since the value of my fund is unaffected whether the market is uptrending or downtrending.

So in terms of answering the question whether I keep spinning and betting, the anwser is yes since my fund is unaffected by the trends in the market.

Some stop playing when the charts turn red (like what is going on now), while others see it as the perfect time to stay active. Volatility affects mindset, not just portfolios. What’s your approach when the market dips, do you keep spinning & betting on sports or you stop playing for a while?

For gambling, I don’t consider whether the market is bullish or bearish. But I do consider the time I have available. There isn’t much time I can allocate for gambling. I have a separate budget for gambling. The problem is that sometimes the time I normally use to gamble has to be canceled due to sudden activities. I will continue to gamble as long as I have time, even if the crypto market is bearish.

Those that are into crypto are motivated to gamble during the bull run because every win they earn would be doubled due to the increase in the market value but looking at it from a different direction, aren't gamblers supposed to gamble with Crypto more during the dip? Since the is low and their main aim is to make profit why not chase it when the price is low to get a higher value? What do you think about this
Well you are right but what you should know is that, who ever gamble with Bitcoin both in the bear market or bull market stand a chance to gain from the market, it all depends on how the gambler approach the market and what he put his mind to because, when the market is down all that the winner needs is to keep gambling with the Bitcoin and if luck shines and winning comes he will celebrate it at the end when the market recover.

I have seen different studies that claims people tend to gamble more when the market is bearish and its understandable as people believe they are losing their money anyway and why not try to get it double. Yes its a stupid idea but that's how many people think.
It's also visible in the gambling sites, specially the ones that gives data about bet volumes. We can see people gambling more when there's a bear.
For me, personally I don't give much attention to the market when I'm gambling. I did infact withdraw some when the price of crypto went down recently. I had deposited before and as it turned itself to USD, just holding bought me some profit and with a few wins, I withdrew about 50% more than what I deposited, mostly due to the price change.

My gambling budget is determined by my monthly income not the market. The percentage of my income that is set aside for gambling is constant. It increases or reduces based on how much is earned. I don't stop playing even when the crypto market tumbles. Some people see gambling as a means of recovering losses from the market.  This approach is wrong since gambling returns cannot be predicted.

When the crypto I invested in declines in price and it looks really boring to watch that altcoin decline I throw it into the casino, at least having the hope of increasing profits with a few presses of the button to start a round in the casino.

For example, I bought Doge at a trend up price, then experienced a decline, and that's where the thought came, betting it on gambling must be very fun than waiting for the price of the coin to rise again, especially in a bearish market.

Gambling and holding are two completely different things. When I hold, if the market price decreases, it will definitely cause me a loss, but when I gamble with crypto, it will not cause me to lose in that way. When the price of my coin increases after I place a bet, the amount of that asset I have will also increase slightly, but it will not have any negative impact on me while placing a bet.

If your funds are in stablecoin (USDT, USDC, etc.) those bear season doesn't matter so gamblers will still gamble. But for a gambler with funds only on those volatile coins and tokens on a bear season, that's really a bit worrisome to play and spend those instead of having them on hold or on stablecoins. But as you can read there are lots of gambler doesn't worry even if its bear or bull season, gambling is gambling lmao
