Op though many will not agree with you based on their own experienced especially those who have fall victim of altcoin or shitcoin where they lost heavily, but I will agree with you to a length, one thing is paramount, which I observe in the space of crypto market generally is more of gambling though it may not be same but have similarities, in area of while some investor is crying of lost another investor is celebrating of profit make from the system which Visa versa to sports betting. Altcoin may be full of scam or shitcoin as some may claimed but some are also repeaping positive results of their risk on the investment made on those shitcoin and altcoin. In my opinion to completely condemned a process or such platform because your experience one also need to consider those it favour, just that one must cut down it risk by not investing what you can't afford to lose while engaging on them. diversifying if one have what it takes for such risk should not be a barrier because of another person failure because favour if lucks differs.

I agree with you, anyone who is willing to invest in Altcoin can go on and do that as long as he has the mind of doing that and he's using only his discretionary income to do that, even investing in Bitcoin is risky, bitcoin investment is not 100% out of risk especially if you are a bitcoin trader.

A Bitcoin trader is different from a Bitcoin investor. The trader buys Bitcoin in response to market movements and sells it back when he gets desired profits or even at a loss if the market moves against his predictions but a Bitcoin investor just buys and holds and most of them has ended up profitable going long-term in it. Bitcoin investing has it's risks quite alright but not in the context of trading since trading success is dependent on making the best predictions with respect to your entry point. While Bitcoin investing success is based on its adoption and it's growth potential.

It does not always mean that even our investments in bitcoins are safe. Even bitcoins are a volatile asset and can cause extreme loss if not treated carefully. I presume all investors to be risk takers because there is literally no profits without taking risk. It depends on the amount of risk we are willing to take. There is futures where the risk is extremely high but so is the profits. For less riskier investments, we have spot markets where profits are too low but the risk as well is negligible.

Altcoins does come with higher risk but there are certain altcoins like ETH which perform similar to bitcoins and to be honest, risk with ETH is much lower as compared to bitcoins because of the price point.

Taking the success of other people or friends is the wrong thing in crypto investment without being based on strong science and knowledge. Nah, it's not actually a "Wrong" decision, but it's more of a "Bad" decision. We can't deny that there are some investors/risk takers who have made a fortune out of a few altcoins. Not to mention, some of these altcoins were considered a sh*tcoin at the beginning. It's just fair to say that their risk-taking skills paid off. However, it will not be the case most of the time. In fact, it will only happen rarely for altcoins because there are a lot of scams and rug pulls going on with a lot of altcoins in the market. So, when you decide to invest in altcoins, you will need thorough research and some extra digging about the people behind the project to avoid total devastation.

I don't hold people back from investing in altcoins, but if they ask me about investments, I won't mention altcoins first either.

Haven’t you seen someone that invested all what they have in a new altcoin, and at the end they ended up losing everything, and some of them committed suicide, and some will have to start afresh? The same wey you have seen someone make huge amount, thats how people are losing huge amount also, but if you do your analysis properly, then you will see that higher percentage of people investing in new altcoin do lose, just little percent do make money. So if you are taking risk, then you should always know the kind of risk which you will take, don’t take a risk which will end up affecting you.

If anyone wants to invest in all this new altcoins, then it should be a little amount of money, any amount which you know that even if you lose, it’s not going to affect you in any way. it’s so risky investing huge amount of money in all this new altcoins. Investing in new coins with uncertain future is really risky both for enthusiasts and newcomers. I don't think it's safer for newcomers to invest in new coins, it's more risky and easier to lose their money if it doesn't work out well so It's a terrible place for beginners to start. The only thing is that it's cheaper to acquire and they can accumulate as many as they want but I advise newcomers to start with a more reputable coin instead just as you have mentioned. Bitcoin is the most reliable coin and the best place for Beginners to start because it's level of risk is minimal compared to others.
