One thing I always do when sharing guides or resources about bitcoin with friends new to crypto: I run the link through a shortener that scans for malware before anyone clicks. It also lets me see if they actually opened it, so I can follow up. Small step, but it avoids the 'I clicked something weird' problem entirely.

This is also a valid solution if the destination link changes and becomes a scam website, because these services periodically scan links.

Hello d5000, I saw you added at the bottom of your OP 4 translations made by AOBT (Hindi - Turkish - German - Urdu). In case you missed the other ones, here they are:

[RUS] [SPA] [FIL] [PID] [CRO] [ROM] [IDN]

If you wish, you can add these ones as well Smiley

Cheers!

One point I'd add is don't recommend Bitcoin to someone who isn't willing to learn it for themselves.
Before introducing anyone to Bitcoin, I think it's worth asking a simple question: "Are you interested in understanding how it works, or are you only interested in making money?" The answer often determines how they'll react during both bull and bear markets.
If someone buys Bitcoin only because a friend recommended it, they're more likely to panic during price drops or blame that friend if the investment doesn't meet their expectations. On the other hand, someone who spends time learning about self-custody, volatility, and Bitcoin's long-term purpose is better prepared to make independent decisions.
Recommending Bitcoin should be an invitation to learn, not a promise of profit. The best recommendation you can give is education first, investment second.

Exactly, that will help them catch up fast and also relieve you of the responsibility of taking the blame. However, some people they will go ahead and recommend Bitcoin to their friends without telling them all the details about Bitcoin, both its pros and the cons of it, making them have a difficult experience  while investing. But giving them the chance to learn about it will encourage them do more research about it, as they won't entirely depend on you.

The days of me recommending bitcoin to friends are gone. I have tried different tactics to get them interested but they just don't want to. Some don't get it, others aren't interested. I have even gifted BTC to some of my best friends. They don't care. I think I would have had more success with bananas.

I still get the occasional "how is that Bitcoin thing going?" type of questions. When the price increased above $100k and they heard about it, some commented that they regret not buying. When it started dropping, it was a different story. Now they are certain that BTC is doomed to fail and there is no future for it anymore. I just shrug it off with a smile.

Satoshi was right when he said, "if you don't believe or don't get it, then I don't have the time to try to convince you." Do your own thing and be happy.

That absolutely the mistake many people made when recommending something for someone, they don’t give the person the full detail of what they are recommending and when it comes to bitcoin when we are recommending it to someone we should do ourself the favor of letting them understands how this works like the drawbacks involve and the benefits also involve and it will end up being their decision to make either they are ready to face this drawbacks and take action into investing in bitcoin and if they eventually don’t invest, at least you made things clear for them and if they invested and things went well then your credibility still stands and if things goes other way then they will accept such outcome because you made it aware to them even before starting.

Yea, there is an absolute difference between giving a tip and giving financial advice. So when it comes to Bitcoin a lot of people often treat it like there is certainty in making profit about it. So if sharing this with anyone you should also know that it it a volatile assets and nothing is guaranteed.

So when recommending bitcoin to anyone, and you not giving them the full detail, it like you holding information hostage, which is really bad. You need to let them about the Dip, the wallet fees, the scams, forgotten passwords and so many other informations.

You still need to let know that it a volatile Assets and they need to invest with their discretionary income, so with that they don’t get emotionally affected when there is a dip in the market.

Bitcoin is not really something that we can force to learn by people. There are people maybe got curious about it, then others provably just ignore and this is so fine. Because for use if price goes up or down. Their focus will mainly goes on short term matters, not on the potential of Bitcoin.

Same as you I stop or rarely convince people to learn Bitcoin. Because those people got interest about it will explore and try to learn more information's on their own.

I like that statement made by Satoshi long ago, because with that there's no forcing and those who came in are the one which truly have interest to try use or invest on Bitcoin.

You’re absolutely correct, you should be well aware of the persons certain situations about things most especially their financial situation, but I’m going to prioritize knowing if the person have a source of income, you can only buy bitcoin when you have the money to buy bitcoin, and you need to know if they have a discretionary income from their source of income, they will have to figure out their discretionary income first of all before they can start investing in bitcoin, they don’t need to learn much, but basic knowledge is very important for someone to get started, but discretionary income is something we should mostly appreciate more, you will alway need money to get started with bitcoin investment.

I recommend investing to anyone because in trading you will need to study the chart very well.

You need to put a lot of things in place before introducing someone to bitcoin, it also requires proper managing expectations on the price increase and drops in bitcoin along the journey

Firstly is trust, the person needs to have trust and believe in what you say that is the foundation, the risk involved both financially and other wise, market volatility, security and self-custody of your investment and how to adequately protect your investment from unknown and unwanted platforms .

I don't think I would want to go down that road again because of the experience I had with the last person I introduced. I don't know if the fault was entirely mine because I asked him to actually do some research about Bitcoin by himself because I wanted him to have some sort of self experience because the manner and understand he approached me was based on the idea that he could get rich simply by stacking up coin without the proper understanding that Bitcoin is all about patience and volatility.

That's right, when you tell someone about Bitcoin, tell them only the general things, the general possibilities and risks. After that, you should leave it to them.
Look, things may seem tempting to a new person if you only tell them about success, here you have to fulfill your responsibility properly, that is, nothing can be hidden from them.
You tell him about investment, tell him to stay away from trading, because trading is risky, but at the same time you must tell him that in investing there is risk here too, because investing in Bitcoin is not a sure way to make a profit.
So you should also mention the risks along with the possibilities to him, and after that the decision should be left to him, if he is interested in investing even after looking at the risks and is financially and mentally prepared to manage the investment properly, then he will do everything on his own, here you should never force him. You just present everything in front of him, after that you have no other responsibility.

Sharing of knowledge is one important behavioural pattern we must not neglect, many neglect the Sharing of information without knowing information is power. Before Sharing information there are some important thing we must consider,  among all I having detailed idea of what the activity is all about.
Bitcoin is an important but dangerous investment scheme that has the power to uplift and also destroy once life but can only be disastrous when some important information about bitcoin are not known before investing on it which is; the working process of bitcoin,  how to secure our asset, the best investment option.  Among all the most important is how to provide adequate protection to our assets,  once this is done i believe its save going into investment.
