As freelancing and remote work expand, is the stable, long-term job model collapsing?

These types of work setup provide options for people who are under certain circumstances (e.g., employed part-time, looking for higher pay rates compared to local jobs, etc.), but it certainly won't replace the 9-to-5 model. Most people are looking for the stability provided by full-time employment, which is hard to achieve through freelancing, since you would need to constantly find clients for a steady stream of income. This isn't super reliable, especially since the competition can be really high.

With more and more things go digital today, it is only easier to find an online job, which is more like a side job, part time job or individual orders. Imo working online isnt a stable job. I havent heard much stories where people were working online for ages, got promoted or built careers. Only some individuals and limited professions allowed to achieve that. Working 9 to 5 or from the office gives me a feeling or guarantee or long working relationships. Working online gives me feeling that I always must be ready to search for new or more job to do.

9-5 jobs are not obsoslete, in many jobs it is still necessard and their Importance is not Outdated. My point is different here an online work is not unstable. Success is depend on an individual effort. You need to stay updated  with new trends. So if you grow and train yourself, you can get  promotion more work and yes higher earnings too.Although Jobs 9-5 is equally Important and continue to exist, but I think chance of getting more earning is higher in Online. However online work requires dscipline and continous struggle. The choice is in the hand of an individual whether its traditional 9-5 job or online work both are not easy. In both cases required  personal growth , skills and ability to adopt innovation.

In my current assessment, technology is developing rapidly and to achieve short and efficient goals, work that is starting to fade and become obsolete or perhaps disappear is the agricultural sector.

In the past we could imagine farmers spending up to 10 hours in the fields, but as time goes by and today's technology can save time as best as possible.
For example:
Plowing a field doesn't only take 15 minutes to finish tilling the field, in the past it took farmers days and hours to complete it, the same goes for other contractor tools such as planting using machines, cutting machines as well.

I think the part of today's farmers that used to be traditional will disappear and be replaced with modern tools, it's no wonder that farmers today can produce fast economic results in harvesting, with the help of existing machine tools.

In today's era, which makes many things easier, including work that can be done flexibly, many people are taking advantage of this, but I don't think that interest in permanent work will decrease, in fact, it is a job that many people dream of, even though later they will try to do side jobs to increase their income.
It's all about the assurance of a steady income whether it's a small or large amount but a person wants assurance to fulfill all his needs and that's the thinking of the majority of people I've met.

Not where I live, they are still very much so needed. AI, remote jobs, cheaper locations, all of it do not matter yet, not right now at least. We still have tons of big buildings and thousand working on them soulless jobs. I am telling you, there is no scenario where you can keep people at home, humans are social animals and if you tell everyone they can work at home at their own hour, they will crumble and society would collapse. They "need" to go to jobs, at some office.

Only difference is, we will not need it all the time when we can't, meaning we will eventually tell people, come to office as much as you can, but you can have more days where you do not come to office but still do your job, like lets say 20 days a year, that way people can stay at home if they do not want to come, but mostly be still at office.
