In which Sport do you prefer to bet?

Basketball, tennis and occasional e-sports. I’m surprised that cricket has much larger fan based compared to Basketball but I realized that it’s popular on country that has huge number of population such as India that’s why it can dominate the sports world.

Sports that I’m betting are very popular in my country so it has a lot of broadcast and news that covers this sports compared on other sports that listed.

It’s much easier to bet on sports that I’m familiar with.

I bet more on soccer and slightly on tennis, then the others I do once in a blue moon. Betting on tennis is because my friend is really into it and he could give me his prediction but football is the most watched sports for me, not that I don't want other sports but mostly football and that's why I can easily make prediction on some match and I can do a quick prediction for some team's fixture since I have e already been watching their games for years, I can quickly guess the outcome without even doing too much research and then place the bet.

Basketball and boxing are two popular sports in my country. I usually bet on boxing against my peers. I'm surprised boxing isn't in the top ten, given how every big event creates a huge buzz.
But I cannot disregard the power and support of European countries for their favorite sports. I guess even if a particular sport is popular in your country, that doesn't necessarily mean it's popular in other countries.

I'm actually quite surprised not seeing a Boxing on this top 10 list, but then this site claims that boxing has over 350 Million fans globally, so I guess it's within the top 11 or 12.

There's a chance that the statistics are correct due to the changes in boxing because of the lack of genuine boxing fights, as we see in the prime time of Mike Tyson, etc.
Now it is always about the money, not based on what the fans wanted, and most of the boxing fights we're seeing are not real due to the conditions added to the fight. An example is Mike Tyson's fight with Jake Paul.

growing up here in the Philippines boxing really hits different even if it’s not in the global top 10 list I can feel how huge it is locally, during Pacquiao’s prime the whole country would stop, streets were empty, sari sari stores had their TVs outside & everyone was basically united for a few hours. I don’t get that kind of energy with most sports. I do bet on basketball sometimes mostly NBA or UAAP but boxing is where I’m most comfortable. It feels more premium & special maybe because events aren’t as frequen so every big fight becomes an occasion.

My beta are usually placed on football and basketball. These are my two major sports of interest and the only sports upon which I place my bets, the reason Behind this is very simple; I do not understand other sports as much as I understand these two, basketball and football are the two sports I understand very well and I believe I shouldn't be involved in something I don't understand well enough so I don't suffer inexplicable loses. I once tried a game I didn't understand and I was solely dependent on luck, more like it eas a blind bet, I got lucky once and the rest other times was loses which I didn't want to continue in such direction anymore.

Another major reasons I chose these two sports is because how well I enjoyed them, I actively fan them enough to enjoy the games when I watch it, that way I feel included and I gwt to build  the best of passion for the game beyond just gambling on them, but it's really different with other games and so I do not engage because I will not enjoy the games ans also don't wish to learn how they work now.

I mostly bet on soccer , very rarely I can place bets on some combat sports if I am going to watch that fight. Recently I have limited my football bets to only a few leagues that I follow. It is much easier for me to bet this way because the fewer teams there are, the easier it is for me to keep track of them, the news, and everything else. To avoid spreading my attention too thin, a few leagues are more than enough for me to place several bets per week.

I regularly do place bets on football. But I also follow basketball and place bets on that sport as well. The reason is that I really like and play these sports. Up to now, I still play football once a week with my friends. The same goes for basketball, although I play it less frequently, I still keep up with the competitions.

Because I'm more into football, and the most interesting thing is European football, whether it's interleague or the Europa League, especially the Champions League. Wow, sometimes it's so predictable, so it's really that exciting. There are so many top clubs competing, and the results are sometimes very surprising.

Football, Tennis, and Basketball are my three preferred sports for betting, but mostly only on major leagues or tournaments. For example, for basketball, the NBA is the only competition I bet on, because I don't follow other competitions and this would only be a hassle because I don't know the development of the competition as a reference for choosing.

Honestly most of us will have a dip on soccer  because we are used to playing it, watching it and hearing about the news and latest development in football matches, so i will go for soccer, just as it also appears being the highest in this regard, people all over the world are more interested in watching it, gambling couldn't have been this fun to play without the even of sports and soccer games specifically.

What we should see is that most sports that involves international physical combat are not listed there. They are not popular because they don't come up on a weekly basis and we know bettors patronize gambling on a daily basis. Sports like rugby, sports and entertainment like wrestling, including boxing are not frequent in sporting activities. So if soccer tops the list is understandable because it cuts across all nation both gamblers and non gamblers.

I think the record shown is fair from the wave of gambling. I prefer soccer and we know the rate of its participation in homes. I like watching boxing too while growing up because I felt learning how to defend myself is important  but it doesn't count in the sports I could place a bet on.

I think like you said, football is topping the charts because of its frequency. Because of how very often it is. Football is every where every day and and almost all the time. Hardly will you find a time that one game or the other is not going on. When you wake up and check, there is a game. When you are able to go to bed and check there is another one going on and this is happening almost every day so in a case like this, it does not have to do with you loving the sport or not it is about its availability which is what pulls people in and give them something they can throw their money into for fun.

But when you look at other games, there is difference with them. They do not occur so frequently unlike the sports listed above which are happening more frequently. Some of these games like boxing games could probably happen just once or twice in a month so even if it happens to be your most favorite, you don't get to gamble with it as much.

Soccer is always I prefer for betting because in few leagues I have always good chance of winning my bets.  After soccer cricket is second favourite sport. Recently due to many franchise leagues things are going some miserable still it's fun to have betting and predictions contests about cricket.

After my favourite sports sometime for fun, I love to jump into American sports because they are also having good attraction regardless of sometime giving shocking results. Live betting on these events always enjoyable and talking about strategy and also having good profit give extra excitement. Maybe I'm part of the new generation of gamblers, but I'm extremely surprised to see no esports in this table. I used to love betting on table tennis, but now I'm not interested because computer games are much more interesting than physical sports. Thank you for this. Because football or soccer is the most popular sport in my country most people including myself bet on football. It is the go-to sports. And the sports where most people are knowledgeable about. They can easily discuss the history and give you the latest on it compare to other sports. There are physical sportsbookies in almost every street corners in my country eventhough I think they should be regulated to a great degree. Even some financial apps have embedded sports bet feature into their app so you can "place your bet on the go" without needing to exit the app.

I only bet on soccer. The reason is that I don't watch other sports games except soccer and sometimes basketball. But I am not familiar with the prediction market for basketball. So yeah, for now, soccer is my only bet option.

Football also have more options to select from and it's played all year long no break because if one league ends, others are beginning. It will take a very long time for any sports to beat Football.
