I'm 6'1, who played basketball since my high school days, so it's obvious I understand basketball better than any other sport, and that makes me comfortable placing bets on basketball, specifically the NBA. On the other hand, boxing has been one of the most remarkable sports in the PH history. I sometimes place bets, of course, on Manny and some other undercard Filipino fighters before, just because I don't know much about boxing, and I don't know much about the fighters, except those who are hailed as the best fighters of the decade.
I always think it is essential that you're placing bets on the sport you're knowledgeable about, because that makes you a lot comfortable watching the game while waiting for the results of your bet. It just adds some extra fun and excitement.

As for me I prefer to bet on football matches, why because I like football and enjoy watching football matches, I also understand football game more than any other game, so I always go with what I understand very well. I'm actually quite surprised not seeing a Boxing on this top 10 list, but then this site claims that boxing has over 350 Million fans globally, so I guess it's within the top 11 or 12.

Maybe because boxing games is not daily or they some boxers are not that well known. But also expect boxing to be on the top 10 as everyone in the world know boxing or they are watching.


I will always choose Basketball as our countrys number 1 sports even at street is always basketball. Since I was a kid i am into our local league and NBA also.

I mostly bet on basketball because I love the sport and have played it myself. Also, i bet sometimes on boxing as i know the sports and also we have great boxers coming from our country like the legendary Manny Pacquiao.

I bet more on soccer and slightly on tennis, then the others I do once in a blue moon. Betting on tennis is because my friend is really into it and he could give me his prediction but football is the most watched sports for me, not that I don't want other sports but mostly football and that's why I can easily make prediction on some match and I can do a quick prediction for some team's fixture since I have e already been watching their games for years, I can quickly guess the outcome without even doing too much research and then place the bet.

I mostly bet on soccer , very rarely I can place bets on some combat sports if I am going to watch that fight. Recently I have limited my football bets to only a few leagues that I follow. It is much easier for me to bet this way because the fewer teams there are, the easier it is for me to keep track of them, the news, and everything else. To avoid spreading my attention too thin, a few leagues are more than enough for me to place several bets per week.

I watch most of my favorite football matches when I'm free but yet I don't bet in all, I have limit to betting just on few of them and that's to prevent so much lose. If that can be called a strategy, then I have same strategy as you because there are some leagues I won't bet on despite watching them play.

You make a great point, but the truth is that one could also rely on the skills of others who also understands the game. For instance, you have a friend who’s a bad ass poker player, and you on the other hand have no idea about poker but you choose to wager on your friend’s poker skills since you already trust that he’s good. Although whether you have the skills or not, whether you’re depending on someone’s skill or not, success still depends on how lucky the player is, if he’s not lucky then all the skills will end in a loss.

But I actually love football, and I prepare betting in football too. It's the best game ever the suspense, competition, love etc. makes me love the sports more and more every day. People usually prefer to bet on the sport they understand and like the most. I usually bet on number two, Cricket, and number seven, Table Tennis. Because I understand and feel these two sports very well. I also play table tennis and cricket with my friends occasionally. I will never bet on Golf because I don't know anything about it. I guess because of the number of games we knew that Boxing is also one of the largest part in gambling industry most of the competitive and well known boxer compete for the title but this tooks to them how many weeks and months for the preparation and players only took one day to make a bet and not as always there's a boxing matches came from the reputable event host so people seen its a rare event i guess.

On the other hand im into sports betting and basketball and also Soccer are the most iconic, there's a lot of matches to consider such as group stage, qualifying stage, match day and the finals so there's a lot of possible players can make a bet on the game. Reason why i guess its on the list than the boxing.

I think preferable sports by people depends on what popular sport in their country. I usually bet on basketball since this is common sports I see in Philippines. Also when there's big fight in boxing scene I usually bet to on that sports to.

Its automatic betting time if Pacquaio will have a fight since its common for people to do that as part of support for his potential victory. I don't watch the other sports listed by OP since its hard for me to find livestreams on that sports on the list.

Soccer is my favorite because growing up football was what most of saw as the sports that brings us together, in college football was the number one sports that was practiced there so it became widely accepted by most of us so we grew up losing it and also being a part of the sports since some of us was good in playing football. First priority is always football before others - I try to place bet on sports I'm familiar with and games I like to watch. What's the fun of gambling on random sports you have no interest in ? Perhaps I've done that few good times to test few markets, to fuflil freebets wager requirements when football top divisions are off season.

A person may love boxing or someone else may like Soccer or any other sport. I mostly love casino games, but sometimes I bet on Soccer.
