Yes, I think it's necessary to understand the role of luck in gambling because despite being a fan or lover of football we still need luck to win the game. However, I can see that many of us here love soccer games which is quite understandable, that's also what I love betting and I think it's just a normal thing because there's no how we can compare soccer games with other sports, due to the fun and entertainment we all share when watching football.

I'm actually quite surprised not seeing a Boxing on this top 10 list, but then this site claims that boxing has over 350 Million fans globally, so I guess it's within the top 11 or 12.

I was also a little surprised that MMA wasn't present, but maybe because it is still relatively new compared to other sports, so people in the world haven't really followed it yet. I was also surprised to see boxing not in the top 10 lists, and also a little surprised to see Basketball below cricket, but it seems the data from the article is convincing because they said that the data they got came from related parties, and I think the data could have changed for now, because I saw the data was last updated last June. I am not surprised to see football topping the list and sure basketball is my most watched after football so for me I mostly bet on this two sport games, although I have boxing on my list of fav sport game's I love watching the fights and sometimes I bet on them when my fav fighters gave match and I am sure they will win.

Isnt it would be true to say that we love sports seasonally? During winter we love winter sports, during summer  we love summer sports? For example when its olympic games, I bet on sports that I love and watch at the moment. Ice hockey for example. At summer I usually watch football and bet on it. Yes. I think there are people in this forum who are avid fans of MMA too. If I remember correctly, there is even a dedicated thread for MMA related discussion somewhere in the Gambling boards. Based on the data from a certain website, the estimated global fans for MMA is around 600 to 650 million and bringing in annual revenue of $18 Billion; based on these numbers, it's a not a small sport to say the least. UFC is by far the most popular promotion company for MMA.

I also really enjoy boxing. In my youth, I did boxing and karate. However, in one fight, I broke my nose. This injury required a long period of treatment. After my recovery, I no longer wanted to go to boxing classes. However, my love for boxing remained. I enjoy watching professional boxing matches and betting on the outcome. Regarding emotions, I think that boxing can evoke even more emotions than a football match. But good fights happen very rarely, and that is why football is much more popular. Because football matches take place every week. Perhaps with the exception of a certain period during the off season, but otherwise there are a lot of matches. And since football matches take place quite often, this always gives us more opportunities to choose several matches for betting.

It depends on the fight that happens in the ring. If in the end boxing is the same as two decades ago where there are still a lot of boxers who are worth watching maybe this will provide a more emotional level but when for now where there are still many influencers and youtubers who only cosplay as a boxer and fight in the ring just for exposure clearly we will not find the sensation that can really make our emotions rise in a match.

Boxing lost it tastes in early 2000s, I'm not a big fan but if they want to be ass at least they should do it properly and add "Entertainment" to their name so we don't waste our time and money on already fixed fights.

I only bet on sports that I follow. I'd feel weird and confused betting on sports that I don't even understand like American football (yes, in Europe we call it like that because real football is played with your feet. It doesn't come at all times and that's why if a gambler is being lucky and that's not their luck but due to the luck of the player where they have bet for the team to win.
