I guess I'm understanding the point @lida is trying to make, and by that I mean he is only trying to emphasize that by being experienced as a gambler don't stop you from losing even while gambling, but it's only just that it gives you an edge into making more calculated entry in all games, which are likely to end in profit. But in a scenario as O.P portrays above regarding the inability of gamblers stop chasing losses, is the reason why majority are addicted today. And because of that, that is enough reason why as a gambler, it's always good one has a stipulated budget he or she is willing to lose at each gambling session, and when you exhaust your limit, you probably just call it a day off. Moreover, both experiences and non experienced gamblers still loses at each point in time.

Yes it is true, everyone is responsible for there actions and we are all entitled to make our own decisions so whatever the outcome maybe we are to face it on our own. it is very easy to gst carried away when gambling without self control, gamblers know the right thing to do but they fail to do it because they get greedy and start chasing losses . I like to consider any money I’m staking on a bet as already lost, this actually helps me set more realistic expectations and goals when I gamble, including how much I choose to spend. For me, this is actually the best way to approach gambling, because even when your emotions start getting involved, you’ll still be pretty much in control of how much you allocate from your bankroll to a bet.
