Many people have a purpose in this life to taught new generation to be better person, some of them have a purpose to make every person have access to medical treatment. I'm sure both teacher and doctor who have this purpose would never be rich.

I've never understood the millionaires, who want to become billionaires or the billionaires, who want to become as rich as Elon Musk or Zuckerberg. This is pure greed. A person, who is extremely rich and can live a luxurious life never having to work for a way until the end of his life would want to make even more money?

Nah, the cost of luxurious lifestyle would cost $1 Million per 3 years, this also exclude shopping for high end products. So, they're not greedy because luxurious lifestyle really cost a lot, more than just being a millionaire.

Being contented is good and should be encouraged and you should try not to think that being contented is contradictory to the desire to get more, they are not and I will explain. The desire to get more is not always bad if you go about it in a legit way; it is only bad if you approach it the wrong way that bring harm to others. The desire to get more does not mean we are not contented with what we have but we are just ensuring we don't slide below our financial status, prepare for inflation and also ensure that growing responsibilities are met.

 If you are earning certain amount as your monthly salary and this money is enough to cover your needs and allow you have some savings, to maintain that level, you will need to continue to work, and plan for cases where the job ends or you are retired. This is why it is normal to desire for more wealth to ensure we maintain our status irrespective of what happens.

To start with, some jobs are abject poverty and some remains not enough because of the personal attitude to life. This personal lifestyle will not give the joy of contentment to talk of contentedly going about other means of escaping lack of basic needs.
