Bench boost in GW1 seemed like a good idea when looking at the schedule, but after the surprise victory of Hull City and many of my selected players doing nothing, it will be a disappointing first chip use.

Manchester United set a bad precedent for their first game, now all these small teams will be thinking in the lines of if Hull Colity a second tier team can do it, what would stop us from doing the same  the only way Utd can squash this wishful thinking is winning their next game with a huge margin like 4-0 or 5nil and they could win back their fear factor.

I didn't , and it will be a difficult week to use the double points on the new team, but I will certainly try. There is no fun if you just pick all Arsenal, City, or United players. Go McBurnie!

Maybe the fun lies in trying to actually beat those going for the players with double points, at least we always complain about templates every now and then, this kind of round provides the best chance to go against template,  where you could triple up with the big dogs, I already saw a few with Haaland, now imagine having Haaland and Cherki to start this one, nice right?

I tried taking a risk by going with three defenders, bit so far it didn't pay off. He only one who got me most points is Thomas who I captained. I'll have to wait for tomorrow's game between Ipswich and Man United. Hopefully Man United can lose two in a row

I decided to mostly ignore double points this week and went with best players. In the end it will not be nowhere near enough for rewards since the only double point players I didn't ignore were from Coventry.

Yeah, you are in a similar place like me. You have slightly less points than me, but that's because I captained Thomas and you didn't.

As for Hull City, everyone were saying after the first game that they can't keep up playing like that. But now they played two games and they still didn't concede. OK, their second game was against much weaker opponent, but still. A win is a win.

EDIT: I just realised that I had two Coventry defenders (Thomas and van Ewijk). How come that Thomas got the clean sheet bonus and van Ewijik didn't? Actually, how come that Thomas got the clean sheet bonus when Coventry lost to Hull City 0-1?
