Maybe there are few who get back their losses, but then again if you have experienced that, then you will go on the cycle of repeating that same lost-recovery cycle until you can't control it anymore and losing more what you recovered.

The average gambler is an ordinary person who can't boast of any extraordinary willpower or incredible intellect. These are ordinary people, and they have standard psychological reactions to the loss of property (money is also property). When an ordinary person loses property, their first reaction is to get it back. For example, if someone has something stolen, they call the police. And if a person loses in a game of chance, they try to win it back. This is a completely normal human reaction.

Yeah, It is simple and just basically because of the fact that they’ve have won before and think they can win again.. and true a lot of gambler have that mindset, it normal to have it though because we are being of emotions. But what make normal gambler different from an addict is the ability to control that emotion that tells them they will win back it they play again..
So it is better to just stay off, like you said action that is birthed by such mindset is doomed..

I’m glad you quite comprehend the point I’m trying to make here. Some people feel like once you’ve had those feelings or urges (which are often inevitable) that you’re automatically addicted, which is a very wrong way to look at it. I don’t know about others but I do get that feeling all the time, especially sometimes when I decide to gambler to make some extra bucks and then lose that money, I always get that push to take another bet, sometimes I do and most times I don’t, but even times when I decide to take that next bet, I always make sure it’s within what I can actually afford to lose, and that’s what responsible gambling is all about.

The loss that occurs in gambling can be used as a compensation for the game we get and the fun we have before (even though we may not be happy with the loss) but it is a reasonable cost to be used as a reason not as a revenge by continuing to play and trying to restore the defeat that occurred before.

Our human nature is what makes us Susceptible to many mistakes when we are ignorant of many things, things can happen to us , but we must know how to correct ourselves As a novice , I thought I was going to recover my wounds , and what I did was lose more , but it was necessary to learn to be the player I am today, so we must learn from these mistakes and Move on.

I think such thinking happens is when we still think highly that gambling can be used as a tool to make money so that when things happen not in accordance with the expectations we have then as much as possible we will do several things including to increase the bet or when our money is in the gambling wallet then we will re-deposit just because our thoughts are still too high on the gambling done.

I think most of us have felt this way even I myself have experienced the same thing but in the end the longer we will certainly be able to judge that it will not really be effective and forcing it will only make us feel a much bigger defeat.
