Does prayers really work in gambling?

There are things that someone shouldn't consider doing, no matter how their faith is built. Gambling is one of those things because gambling can't be manipulated physically or spiritually. Is whatever you entered as your prediction for bets is the result you are getting. Praying for your bet to be favorable to you is a complete waste of time. God doesn't honor such a prayer, talk more of answering it. Anyone praying before they start betting is a joker

No, I do not think prayers will work in gambling.  This is just a fallacy, we all know that the gambling result is affected by different factors, the slots result is influenced by RNG, and RNG is a code, and there is no prayer that can modify the result of the code to give a gambler a winning result.  

The same rules apply on other casino games, while sports betting has x variables that affect the result of the game. Just becaue our prayers coincide with the result of the game, there is no evidence that the prayers do the trick.  It is more on our claim and belief, but no actual proof that the prayers act to modify the result.

Gamblers can think absurdly, what correlate gambling to prayers that makes it work that if you pray it, you will acheive winning in gambling, I also do hear about those that do seek for external influence from others that have been claiming they are predictionist in gambling, all because they wanted to have something that can make them be sure if what they stand to get from gambling is possible or not.

It is everyone's belief and I will definitely respect this belief. If someone prays for the results of their gambling, I think it is very natural. Many people do this but will everyone win in gambling? Maybe some people can win in gambling or some people believe that if they pray, they can win. But there is no certainty. There are some who could not ensure victory even after praying a lot. On the other hand, some people can win big without praying. I don't think it has any effect and even if it does, there is no way to prove it.

I honestly had to read it many times and stopped for a few minutes to think, because what I've seen about gambling isn't affected by prayers. If that were possible, then all the people who pray to win a lot of money gambling would be making a lot of money in the long run. In practice, that's not what's happening; people are losing money in the long run because gambling was created for entertainment only.

Praying doesn’t actually change the odds in gambling. Games are based on chance, math or house rules and not faith. Some people pray because it helps them feel calm or hopeful but it won’t improve your chances of winning.

Prayer can only work when you know what you are doing when your prediction is correct your prayer can work but when your prediction is wrong your prayer will not work because gambling is when you lose the other party gain when one win the other party lose so that prayer will not be answered if you are wrong the same God you have is the same God the other person have God did not love only you that's why the prayer will not work when you are wrong.

Praying provides a sense of calm to everyone who is used to doing it. This gives a person stronger confidence or belief in themselves when doing something. It might work for your friend, but I also believe that it does not consistently give your friend a win.

But if you talk about if it will have effect on the outcome, I don't think so. Because it may help psychological aspect but the outcome is entirely based on luck especially if you are playing on luck based games. So it may calm the gambler but like it or not, the outcome won't be influenced by praying.
And yes, it is more on mental preparedness for the gambler not the outcome. So even if you pray, you should accept the fact that it is not always your day so to speak. And it is easier to accept losses if you have such mindset.

Here the matter depends on belief and since each person's belief is different,  people's comments in this matter will also be different.
From this point of view if I say then in my religion gambling is a thing that should be highly prohibited and restricted and The main thing is that there are strict penalties for gambling.
So in my cas I also respect my religion and also believe that there will be nothing if I pray to God for winning jackpot that will me like I pray for a successful robbery.

Why would a handful of prayers said by a gambler when he is down to his last chips actually turn to good fortune?

It could be down to a number of things:

GOD doesnt hear inside casinos
GOD cant hear you when you have an online casino platform open
GOD doesnt actually understand gambling lingo
GOD is busy ending human suffering like child leukaemia for example ^{its very difficult even for GOD} to worry about some gambling woes

or maybe its a long shot but perhaps GOD isnt actually here ^anywhere?

No. But I know gamblers in real life that does it as always. We're in a religious country and that's why even it's related to gambling, many are praying for luck and for them to win their bets. So, upon seeing this topic this isn't even unusual for me because I've encountered it a lot of times and seen friends and strangers prayed for them to win the bets they have made so that they can enjoy the profit they'll make out of it. Probably unusual for some other countries and cultures that are new to this. But to me, this is like the normal prayer of a daily guy who likes to have a good day.

I don't know if it will  work or not. But if it's just to feel optimistic, more confident, and so on, without regard to winning or losing, then I think it's quite effective.

I'm sure that those who bet on soccer matches sometimes unconsciously pray for their favorite team to win. And without realizing it, we also kind of pray for our bets to succeed in that match.

But don't just rely on prayers in this matter. There still needs to be effort or initiative taken. Make an analysis and only bet at the right moment.

Oh wait, sometimes I also pray for good luck in everything that matters, including my gambling activities.

If prayer does work in gambling, there will be so many religious people become gambler then become rich by making casinos bankrupt LOL.
Then no casinos will accept players who believe in God, means that casinos will accept atheist only LOL.
I have no idea how this question come into your mind while basically before you wanted to ask about it in a forum, you can try yourself by praying as long as possible ask Him to give you a huge win then you'll know the result.

let's be honest with ourselves prayer doesn't change the odds or the outcome of gambling, it would be a naive thing for anyone to believe that they can use this as a way to scale through gambling or have better results but in reality that doesn't really do anything in gambling. we all have the right to believe whatever it is we want to believe but if we take out delusion and be logical you would have a better view on this

I consider prayer don't work at all, be it in job, in health or in gambling, it give zero result.

I can agree that prayer probably doesn't work in gambling. But it surely works in something like job (business), health, or social life. People who claim to be religious should believe in prayer.

It just make your heart feel calm and think you're with someone else that could help you, while the reality there's no difference whether you pray or not.

You can't make your heart calm yourself, that's God's help. Other people may not help you if the God doesn't triggers their hearts to help you. When we pray, we hope for the God's help. It is because there are many things that we can do it ourselves. You can't ignore it!

I dont think so, But to be honest if you are playing and you have a big amount of tumble on the table you are praying for a big multiplier to show on the screen.
I will admit sometimes i will whisper pls lord, pls pls.. multiplier pls.. (who can relate on this?) I dont pray when gambling but i really tell those words when it comes to multipliers.

God won't honor those kind of prayers because it's against to the belief that's been taught to the Christians. And I think it's the same with the other religions like in Muslims, it's haram for them. Correct me if I used the term wrongly but that's what I think for all of the religious groups out there. Maybe some specific religions that are made for gamblers, this is just a normal action for them if they're praying to the gods of gambling.

Before I give my simple response, I think the story is incomplete. After your friend prayed on your way to the betting shop, did he win? Ill like to know what happened in the end.

So, back to my response, prayers doesnt influence the result in gambling, luck does. I prayed sometimes and won, while other times, I still prayed but lost.
