Does prayers really work in gambling?

It's more like a ritual or a way to get in the right frame of mind before the game. If your friend says it's a prayer, as far as I remember, no religion approves of gambling or games for money.So,at the very least, it's stupid, and secondly, it's disrespectful to his own religion. In fact, it is very foolish to think that praying while gambling will bring much profit. It completely depends on your skill and luck, no matter how much you pray, the results will not come in your favor. Although luck and prayer are both miraculous things, you cannot win gambling by relying only on prayer.

It's really a matter of personal peace of mind. If you think that praying will increase your chances of winning at gambling, then you can do it and no one will stop you. But logically, praying will never help you win at gambling. I think you should rely more on analysis than prayer for gambling unless you are playing slot games.

The point is that I can say whether prayer play important roles gambling or not, but what is clear is that the two major religions, Islam and Christianity are not in support of gambling. If that is the case, why should someone who claims to be a true Christian or Muslim believe that prayer will work for him or her when they are involved in something that is not allowed in their religion?

So, the point is that I believe prayer doesn’t work in gambling. But this belief does not make your friend lucky or unlucky. If we evaluate how religious (Catholics) in reality gambling is not contemplated, in fact my question before was specific, if you pray to God to accompany you in this "experience" dangerous for your spiritual health and lead you out of danger without harm, the prayer could have an effect, otherwise if you pray to God to win money I believe it is not contemplated, obviously I am not a theologian but this is my personal thought.
I don't think God is generally a coin-operated machine, where you pray "put the token" and grant the wish.

Oh I think I have a better understanding of what you mean. If by accompanying you in your experience, you mean help you manage your emotion or to keep it in check, inasmuch as I also believe it’s possible for God to answer that prayer, I think it’s unnecessary to pray about something like that when it’s something you can simply do on your own, I mean it’s easy to manage your emotions when you gamble with the right mindset, so if you have the right mindset, so all you gotta do is avoid gambling for profit and spend only what you can avoid to lose and you’ll be just fine and really don’t have to pray about stuffs like that.

I don’t crate if prayers works, but all know is that I put all I put gambling and religious believe together, all I know is that gambling is about luck so even if you pray all the prayers in the world if you’re not lucky you will probably not win. Everyone with what they believed at because you can decides to also pray and gamble then you win, of course acknowledging our maker in everything we do is our utmost priority gambling but we shouldn't allow that to over weigh us down or makes it feels as we are less important or we don't have luck. Doing prayers before gambling is prolly just a myth, they thought doing so might help increase their luck but it's not really happening. If they made a good win streak, it's just a big coincidence and it made you believe that praying can help. Tbh, I did same thing in other stuff, it's not a bad to do prayers while doing something that requires luck and guidance but I'm not sure if above really wants to help you during a gambling scenario because they def. don't want that, it's like asking a huge win to make your life easier.

You're right, if prayer worked that much here, then those who bet would be busy praying to win their bets. And those who will be the casino authorities will be busy praying the opposite so that gamblers cannot win by betting on gambling. Prayer will never work in gambling because if he works everyone will be successful already in gambling and know one will lose again because everyone will bet and pray and win huge profit but since is always unpredictable you will struggle and if you are not a lucky time you will just be betting without any good results. Prayer-luck mix? What on earth is that?
Whatever that’s supposed to mean, just forget about it because that’s a delusional way to perceive gambling. Inasmuch as I believe so much in the effectiveness of prayer but I think gambling is the most wrong place to apply that prayer because that’s purely praying amidst (for the Christians) and any prayer that’s prayed amidst is quite far from receiving an answer from God. There is nothing prayer can not do, just like your friend said and he believes in prayer and it works for him, when going to gamble, it all depends on the individual mindset and I believe that whatever one believes in if he recognizes it will definitely work for him, even robbers pray before their operations and it works, so why will the same thing not happen in gambling, but you need to take precautionary measures and follow the rules and regulations of gambling, by gambling responsibly if not the reverse might be  the case cause prayer does not work in the wrong direction, therefore maintain your limits being set, gamble with what you have and can afford to lose, do not borrow to gamble in other to become an addict because no prayer can help  you in such situations.

I cannot say for sure whether prayer for gambling is effective because gambling is forbidden for people of my religion and prayer for this forbidden act will never be accepted, but people of different religions can believe that prayer will be effective because prayer is the desire of each person's heart because I believe that my prayer will be effective. However, it is better to make prayer before starting anything because if something is started through prayer, then positive results can be obtained and even if it is not, there is no problem because prayer will never harm you but will be more beneficial. Actually, I do not do much prayer while gambling or before gambling, but I do do a lot of prayer before losing so that I do not lose but it is not effective there.
