Does prayers really work in gambling?

I think it’s possible that waiting inbetween bets has an affect on the bets outcome because it didn’t happen any earlier or later. So by using that logic my answer would be yes because praying would cause the time of when you placed the bet. Event based bets excluded

Honestly, I don't really understand your point. However, I'm surprised that you agree that praying can work in betting. In my opinion, praying doesn't bring an influence in betting because it seems not increasing the luck. As far as I know, there is no theory that it shows a real impact on betting.

Prayer is supatitious believe in gambling world, nothing like prayer just that he gets the real game that can pay him ,if he continues he will know that prayers doesn't work in prayer,so be certain prayer doesn't work in gambling is all fake just make sure your predictions are right, predict well.

Some people probably believe that praying can increase the chance of the luck. But we know that gambling isn't allowed in some religions. If it isn't allowed, how can the God to grant the praying? So, I'm quite doubtful that praying is having an influence in this case.

Honestly, I just think you and the guy who opened this thread are just very inclined to religion and like to believe in the existence of something bigger than all of us.

It is okay to believe in something superior, but I don't think it is correct to ask for such powerful being for money, when most religions advice against love for money.

No matter how much you pray from morning to evening about your gambling bets, it will have no effect on your gambling bets. This may provide temporary comfort if you lose a bet, but it will have no effect. Gambling is prohibited or declared haram in some religions, so how will praying affect gambling? If prayer were useful in gambling, many people would probably never leave the prayer room after placing a bet.

It looks funny, but guess what? Some gamblers are doing this…so I don't try to think it is nothing because some people value it. Yes, it doesn’t change the outcome of the game, but I still respect them. I just hope they eventually stop doing it, because it’s not something we should be praying about.

If we’re already exhausted from looking for a strategy that works, it is better to quit than to bring gambling into our prayers. It doesn't just lead to disappointment, but at the same time, it affects our respect for the one we prayed for.

I am not sure how gambling winnings differs from most favors that different prayers ask from a God or any divine entities, as they seem to always be some kind of favors that would help make their lives better. Money sure would help in most cases.

Personally i don't understand praying to be anything else then some kind of active hoping based on kind of self entitlement, where you deserve things because of.

But then again, i am not religious. For me it would be arrogant to think that some divine entity would be interested on what i want, and ignoring real problems from billions of other people.

I do seem to believe in luck, but not in terms of magical luck. It's just small and inavoidable part of statistics.

Prayer to who? Prayer as a who? Well for me I don't think of prayers before or after gambling, I only hope and wish I could win. Let me talk about the Christians. Gambling is a kind of venturing that is not part of their support since it looks like wanting to reap out of laziness and where you didn't plant.
Gambling seems to be all luck all the time since with the best professional predictions losing may still happen.

If prayer is talking to God, and according to scripture we should be prudent with our money, and gambling is certainly not a form of financial prudence, why would I ask God to bless my bets? It's contradictory and even offensive in terms of faith. It's better to pray for your work, and I believe it would be blessed. In my opinion, faith and gambling should not be mixed.

Prayer is an impactful word since it is related to sincerity and the hope that is to be treasured, thus it is only logical to describe it as a gamble. In a case where one requites blessings on a thing that is not stable, we observe a conflict between belief and impetus taken. Praying at an endeavour which is really worthy is more in tune. In doing this we do not bring our faith into a state of doubt.

I don't really know and I can't really admit if prayer can really work in gambling. Since we have different religion in the world, people pray to their God in whatever way they like and I don't think this has anything to do with gambling. I don't know why people will bring prayers to gambling which I think it is unnecessary. If God listen to all these gambling prayers, it will be hard for the one he will listen to because their are people that are praying for a team to loss a match and there are others that are also pray for that club to win.

People can do many things because of emotions. There is no such strategy to win in gambling on which one can win consistently. But what people can do is to believe in something invisible. Everyone, according to their own beliefs, after putting money in their bets, pray to the creator there so that his creator makes him victorious, but the reality is that many people win there and many also lose. Now the one who has won thinks that the creator has accepted his call, on the other hand, one thinks that he has not been accepted. In gambling, everything depends on luck, so it is not possible to win by praying alone, and praying should not be disrespected either. Whoever wants to move forward in gambling should be given that freedom.

I believe and am convinced that praying to God is very powerful because God is almighty, and this can make life and everything we do easier. However, i don't know whether it has any effect on gambling or not. I think what your friend is doing is more of an affirmation or a way to convince himself before gambling, not that praying alone will actually affect the outcome of the game. If that were true, then no one would need to analyze the game, set a gambling budget, or manage their emotions, they would just need to pray and that would be enough.

Sometimes thinks like prayers might not necessarily work on places where risk is paramount. But we should know that in life, what works for you might not work for another person effectively. Since your friend has been doing this for quite a long time and it's been working for him, then he should continue using just what he believes works for him. Majority of gamblers believe more on luck than religious beliefs. It's almost same thing because luck summarise your prayers and all others. The fact is praying would guide you, not necessarily give you an edge while playing. We shouldn't make our belief in such things so we don't get disappointed..

Yesterday being Sunday I was somewhere hanging out with some of my old time friends, we were all having good time together which off course all work without play makes jack a dull boy that is a popular saying, however we decided playing some game's to complete the whole fun so we went straight to the casino centre but funny enough one of my friend made a short prayer before proceeding and I was like "Frank" what did you just did? he told me he just finished praying because praying before gambling have been working for him over the years.

As far as I know, many of the world's leading religions are against gambling, or at least not in favor of it. So, I think praying for gambling results is completely pointless. The only thing you can do is pray not to get into big trouble, and that would be quite appropriate. Maybe this person prayed with such wording, we don't know for sure.

In my opinion, it is worth praying for the resolution of certain life situations, but definitely not for something like wealth, material well-being, and so on. Because religion is usually about the spiritual, not the material.

I.do not want to know if prayer can help while gambling, but I do not actually know if prayer can help or not because I do not pray anytime I want to gamble. To pray before gambling can not even come my mind but I will just proceed to able.

Just tell him to be using small amount of money to gamble because as he believes in prayer can help in gambling, he should not make the mistake of using high amount of money to gamble just to avoid a deadly mistake.

The point of actually praying is not to win the game but it's for God to help with discipline, patience, and being strategic. So if you genuinely pray to God there is no way you will use high risk if not what is the point of praying before gambling

But when the individual will get it wrong is if he or she prays for the wrong their Wich is taking the game to his favour, then that is when your prayers goes wrong.

I don't agree with your opinion that prayer is only about spiritual things.
You need to look again at how you live at the moment, If you believe in God then everything will have a continuity between spiritual and material.

Religion does not directly separate material and spiritual affairs, Prayer is even a means to improve material affairs,
because a prayer in each religion is about sustenance, sufficiency of life, health, economic goodness and others.

So if you say pray not for a matter of wealth or wealth and so on, it is wrong.
You must be praying not only for spiritual purposes only, but asking and praying for your economy to run smoothly and what you choose to play wins and so on.

You need to learn how life works, how religion and spirituality affect it, all have a continuity.

I don't really think that praying about gambling will help us win the jackpot, because I have already seen many of my friends who have prayed in church that they can recover their gambling losses and win a big jackpot, but not a single one of them has won the jackpot, instead they are facing more losses due to their gambling addiction and have fallen into debt.
So if someone thinks they can always win at gambling by praying to their GOD, they should think again.

When you see a gambler applying prayer to how he gambles, then he is probably wasting his time or not knowing what is supposed to be done, don't be surprised that gamblers could go to any length all in the name of gambling and to draw in more opportunity form it, but that does not mean we should act so stupid in applying some theories that doesn't work in gambling out of ignorance.

I don't even call such prayer what I do; sometimes I just soliloquize by talking to myself indirectly, making a wish and hoping the wish comes through, but it could also be seen as some form of prayer, but to me I don't call it prayer because the thought just comes once the game is almost going sideways. I immediately want to make a wish and hope it comes through even when I know I don't have a say on the game outcome.

I'm surprised you prayed before playing gambling. As far as I know, you have been in gambling for a long time. You must know it doesn't work at all since a long time ago. I assume it is because praying is our habit, so we do it automatically before we do everything. Unfortunately, we do it in gambling that is unlikely to bring any impact.

Love money is okay as long as we don't love it so much. It is normal that we want to earn money from anything.

It is okey to have money from legal sources, like gambling. But I am not okey with involving God with gambling. As Inam pretty sure God would not like their children to engage excessively in gambling and betting, as it boost love for money and it is said love for money is the root of all evil on this planet.

So if one wants to gamble it would be better not to get God in gambling and just accept whatever destiny has for us. It is kind of a contradiction for ask God for money or assistance to get money.

I consider prayer don't work at all, be it in job, in health or in gambling, it give zero result.

It just make your heart feel calm and think you're with someone else that could help you, while the reality there's no difference whether you pray or not.

This would be funny if the gambler is a Muslim, gambling is forbidden in Islam, if they pray for breaking their rules, it doesn't mean gambling become halal or less haram lol.
