Why gambling can not be seen as entertainment

You are correct that business calls activity fun to make gambling sound like nice film or concert, however, it has been shown that high players feel is really stress brain reaction to almost-wins, which could lead to serious health problem in 2025 and 2026.
Studies by groups like The Lancet have shown that by calling gambling fun, we are not paying attention to high number of people taking their own lives, heart diseases, feeling very sad among others caused by gambling and that even your brain can be tricked that you are going to win much of money when really you are not. True, it's very different from other forms of entertainment, but you'll agree that movies are different too, and if you enjoy watching horror films, there will also be stress involved, to which your brain will react by releasing hormones, that will have an even stronger effect than the reaction to a bet. Moreover, if you win, you'll get a nice boost of good mood. So gambling is just one form of entertainment, and no one is forcing you to gamble if it's too stressful for you.

Gambling will never be a source of pleasure for him because the thought of how much loss he will have to face if he loses that money along with placing a bet will take him to a level that will never allow him to understand the joy of gambling. Gambling creates excitement in the case of all gamblers who invest money that they can lose in gambling. A kind of excitement works widely among them regarding which will be a win or a loss.

How ever you wish to view it, it's up to your own experience with gambling.. most of the time we call gambling a form of entertainment because we try to balance realistic profits with false hope. Most gamblers have the wrong mindset wheel gambling and that why majority of them either get frustrated or addicted trying to win their money back. By entertainment we are just trying to keep a steady fast psychology so we can avoid thinking too much about profits or lose or being too emotional. Besides to me and some gambling is fun. It's fun because when I gambling I get to test my prediction skills and enjoy every round of the games.. it doesn't matter if I win or lose, once I exhaust my funds I'm down for that session..

If there will be no limit and things go deeper then thats the trap of gambling for everyone.
but if a responsible person play on any casino platform to gamble and make some fun and relaxation then it is n entertainment to someone.
Gambling were design to make people happy and feel the excitement while enjoying their bets. but some people are greedy and want the shortcut in life.

Actually, gambling is basically better done for entertainment than for other things such as making money. And the many problems that occur are not because of gambling but because of the mistakes of the individuals. As you said, one of them is because of greed by wanting shortcuts to get money and gambling becomes a widely chosen option, even though the risk of greater losses is clearly visible even though it is not directly visible.

Different people view gambling differently. We cannot deny the fact that some people gamble because they derive pleasure from it. Gambling to them is like paying for entertainment just like cinema tickets or video games. You can find this set of people in countries that have low unemployment rate. But I will not also dispute that many people who gamble see it as a source of income.They see it as a means to gain from an activity they enjoy. Sincerely, all my gambling activities don't end in sorrow or sadness. Even when I loss, I don't feel very sad because I can afford what I lose. Gambling to me is not a do or die affairs even when my desire is to win always.

Gambling is impossible to be regarded as entertainment since entertainment is supposed to bring some relaxation and fun and have no adverse effects. Although there are disciplined people who can use gambling as paid entertainment and can afford the losses, most people get involved in gambling hoping to amass wealth. The result of the losses is very likely to be stress, regret, debt, and emotional pain. This renders gambling not to be the same as any other form of entertainment. Gambling should not be considered entertainment since in the majority of cases, the risks and adverse outcomes are quite high.

If you cant gamble and get fun from that activity, that is your problem or attitude to gambling. You are seeing only one side of entertainment and gambling. People can go to place that provide "the action of providing or being provided with amusement or enjoyment" and not get entertained. I can go to a cinema, movie would suck and that entertainment activity would not be entertaining for me. Or I can win in gamble and do victory dance, which will entertain me and make other laugh. Look on gambling as an activity you pay (place bets) to get fun, but sometimes you dont receive such emotion (lose).

If you play for fun, then your loss of money should be considered as a payment for entertainment. After all, it's a well-known fact that you have to pay for entertainment, for example, you also pay for attending a concert, theater, roller coaster. It's not as though they are not aware that in the process of gambling that they can loose money. They are aware of it only that the thought of a potential long term win always over powers them such that they keep gambling over and over again untill they hopefully win in the long run. Even if you see it as a form of entertainment, what makes that of great effect is if you're not using an amount that's above what you can afford to loose. As a form of entertainment, you have to come to terms with the fact that, you should be able to entertain yourself even when you gamble with a small amount. It's not only when you gamble with a huge amount of money that you can say that you're having fun. Fun is a relative term that can take place simultaneously with real hurts and gain.

How about watching movies or sports which may also give you stress and emotional pain when the match is not as what you expected?
Entertainment is not depending on the possible adverse effects, anything in this world may give adverse effects if you do it wrongly.
Gambling cant be considered as entertainment because there are many people are affected negatively is not an objective point of view.
I'd prefer to agree that gambling as entertainment of not is depending on the gambler, how they deal with it.
