For me I think since social media ads are not something that are private but all over everywhere that children can see, I think it is the duty of parents to teach their children not to be influenced by this ads because if they keep quiet while casino are being promoted everywhere,  kids would want to try to put in money to gambling. But can the government sue social media platforms? For example, if the social media platform owner lives in one country, while the government seeking to sue them is in a different country, it seems like that would be difficult for the government to do.

Nowadays, it is difficult to control everything that children see on social media. Because now internet access is so close at hand, everyone is busy with social media, including parents, which means they don't have time to see what their children are watching or doing on social media. It is also becoming more difficult for parents to control these issues, as gambling advertisements are everywhere online. If the government can not control gambling advertisement made by casinos then it will be very hard for parent to control what their children can have access to when they are not around them or available. Gambling should be limited from children especially those ones that are fast learners that are always curious to ask questions and want to do new things. The government will be blamed for any gambling advertisement that have a contrary view about the intent of the ads. There are some platforms that are suoosed to avoid ads from casinos due to children that are using the platform.

The entire problem sits in your hands and it only matters how you treat it.  I read some other Topics where people were proudly sharing details about their 15 years old child learning how to use a Casino.  As long as you do not get to that point of delusion where you are proud of the addictions building in your child, the education yours receives should be pretty good.

It all draws down to weak regulations, if the regulations in a particular country is weak on the kind of content that can be seen in their users feeds, then it gets everyone in that region exposed to gambling promotional contents.

The rate at which gambling promotional content is coming up on social media is alarming and since the social media owners are not also actively playing a role to limit it or contain it for the sake of the paid contents that they are, it causes overall effect to kids who are even more inclined to gambling activities now at a tender age more than in the past that they get more older before they can partake to have an account on social media.

In order to reduce this, both the government and the social media platforms will join hands to make regulations that will not harm the children’s more and make them focus more on education more than any other thing.
