I agree with most of your points but I don’t know about rejection boosting one’s confidence. In my opinion, it’s the opposite. One thing I’m certain of is that rejection can build resilience. When you get that “unfortunately” email, but you press on again and again. That’s resilience. Confidence comes much later when you have experienced small wins.

Rejection will only make you self-pity and lose one's confidence, no matter how much you are trying to look it positively. But if your goal is to challenge yourself every time you get rejected, I think that's a more effective way to help you develop yourself and enhance to your best potentials.

This is a very important topic that a lot of people need to read. rejection can be very a very painful experience but most times it is a wake up call needed to be able to do better. people do not take rejection the right way, it is something that is supposed to make you self reflect and also work on yourself. rejection shouldn’t be a course to be depressed but it is a reminder that you should improve on yourself

it is a dilemma of our society that it does not teach us how to deal rejection. That's why when anyone face rejection end take it personal or feeling guilty. There is need to do open discussion and provide proper guideline to tackling this issue. Sometime rejection doesn't mean you are weak or you lack something. It might be possible that the person or the company who reject you is not on right side. never take rejection negatively take it as a part of learning. Life can't be smooth always. No matter how good it is sometimes, you will definitely still face rejection too. This doesn't mean it over. Most famous and rich people has face rejection in one way or the other other in their life. An example is case of a famous basketballer, Michael Jordan. He started his career with alot of rejection by most coach because he was too short. Being short was his challenge but he never let this weigh him down. He keep pursuing with focus and passion. Today, Michael Jordan is a member of the NBA Hall of Fame.

One thing to know is that if you don't reject what will not favour you in the company , the company will reject you for not develop what they expect from you in the company. There are some investment you don't follow people to invest without a good research to know if you will be profit or not before you can take a decision to put some money you can afford to lose, because nobody will help you out when you encounter massive lost from the investment.

Knowledge is the major thing that is making people to change positively to make a right rejection to switch to the right direction that will make them productive, because they see ahead that the investment will not boost their profit than to stop and make a good change that will make them happy in the future.

Realistically, not all who came from rejection will be able to manage it and stand firm again like nothing happened. Some are just too sensitive and inflexible, so they can't easily adjust if there are negative instances and that they would find it hard to process.

But rejection can be inevitable at times especially if you are not suited to what you have been trying to apply. I guess its only a matter of acceptance and learn from it for self-growth and development to turn yourself into a better person.

JoyceBTC You are correct, someone that got rejected and then decided to pick himself up and move on by looking for another part or by looking for another source is not weak, but he’s very strong and determine such a person usually succeed in life and get whatever he desires the people who should be call week is those people who will give up immediately they get rejected, when you get rejected and then you give up you are weak, and if you continue that part, you will never succeed in life or you will never see you what you really want from life.
Everyone on earth must face rejection from one person or the other, but how you accept the rejection will determine your future. No one is above rejection, even though who you think they are very rich and famous they also face rejection even from their spouse so whenever you face rejection, don’t give up move on with your life and everything will be Ok.

True but not is always applicable since you never truly know what it’s like until you experience it yourself. Some, unfortunately, need to learn it the hard way to really learn and change themselves.

Finding an alternative path isn't completely bad but it might have some adverse effect, take for instance someone gets rejected and the find another path which got them accepted and along the line they got dumped and they kept seeing for new opportunities but couldn't find they might want to try another new route and this will keep them navigating through different opportunities either going back and forth and we all know how draining and ineffective this can become on a long run.

This is really important especially on a job market with high competition. I also experienced a lot of rejection during my first job hunt, and it actually led me to try a different career path. There were a lot of realizations along the way, but I'm glad that I didn't get discouraged, and I'm actually thankful that it happened because it brought me to where I am today.

That's is very good , is good actually because when you feel rejected in many places where you want to apply for work and you are being turned down that is exactly what will make you to push up in life, because definitely you will work and make sure that you don't give up giving up is not an option, so it's good when you are rejected and you don't just feel so bad of it ,it will give you an edge for continuity in your life.

Yes, like for example this one person will feel bad if they got rejected on a job but for some others, they will say: 'Aahh..!!, okay'. They will actually take it as a challenge to motivate their selves to improve and they will say like: 'Okay, let us see if after doing this xxx.. thing, I will still get rejected'.

But even if they still, they will try and try harder until they now get accepted. Yet they or each of us must still have their own bad view and then for the former, they may not feel the same. This sounds like something people say after they have already made it.

Because of rejection in trading specifically, it does not always make you wiser. Sometimes it just breaks you man. And then you're out of the game completely so the "future profits" part never comes.

Neither does the math support this narrative. You can have perfect risk management, have some good strategy, do everything the books tell you. And still lose. That's what variance means. That's what risk means.

The market moves money from weak models to strong models. That's it. It's not interested in developing your character.

Some rejections do make you sharp though - sure. You notice the error, you make an adjustment, and you come back better. But plenty of others are just expensive lessons in probabilities that could've been learned cheaper somewhere else or maybe didn't have to learn it at all because the real lesson was this particular game wasn't for you.

But we don't have choice either, but to keep going no matter how draining it is, especially if another rejection comes.

But in all honestly, who's never been rejected here? Because even the most successful nowadays have been rejected a lot of times before, but they chose to be more inspired and keep going despite of the tendency that they will still be rejected in the future.

Life needs more courage and confidence to keep going, that is the secret not to settle with rejections but aim more and aim higher.

This can't be applied to the current generation of young adults. If they get rejected, they'll post it in a long form about discouragement and how the system should be changed.

They're now made being weak because the system is setting their expectation too low.

We all understand how hard it is to take rejections but I believe in life they are some importance and positive sides of rejection that most people fail to realize. Most people tend to give up, loose hope, become scared and have low self esteem when rejected. But I believe after most of you come across this thread, you will never feel too bad when rejected

Here are some few importance/ positive sides of rejection:

1. Self realization : Rejection helps you realize yourself in terms of making you know where you’re lacking or where you are making mistakes and help you do better in those specific areas.

2. Growth: Rejection helps you to learn and at the process of learning, you tend to attain growth.

3. Discovery of path: Rejection helps discover or redirect you to a new path or an opportunity, which you would have missed if you were not rejected.

4. Adaptability: Rejection helps you adapts to new challenges hereby making you resilient and stronger to bounce back and take on new challenges.

5. Strategic: Rejection makes you become a strategic thinker I.e it helps you become more strategic in anything you are doing, in order for improvement and more crucial ways to do better.

6. Confidence: Rejection actually makes someone build confidence i.e you know you’ve once failed and want to try again because you know you can do better thereby helping you boost confidence.

Rejection helps us grow and become courageous and also helps us realize that things will not always be in our way. Even though it is not easy to be rejected because it will make us feel like we are a failure but if we use this as motivation to get better. there is a saying "seven times down, stand up eight" no matter how many times we are rejected if we don't give up and learn from it and be persistent we can also prove them wrong and show them we can overcome challenges.
