All I can say that for me gambling is not a life changer, and I never consider it to be. Never I have won large amounts, never I have lost large money. Nevertheless, unexpected wins always make me feel cheered and happy. As to losses, as accept this as a part of process. Among my friend there are no avid gamblers also. But I also havent heard anything bad about their gambling experience. Among people I know, I think I need to make a good search to find those who had it bad with gambling.

They claim so because they enjoy every bit of it, they already have the mindset of gambling for fun with a very low budget that could not bother them if they lose out at any time. However, constant gambling should not be seen as that fun because that is beyond fun and possibly addiction creeping in, and sometimes, for the reason of wanting to catch fun, a gambler might step beyond their gambling boundary by exceeding their gambling budget per game, and that is just the beginning of their addiction in play. So being in excess of fun in gambling is not what you should be happy about because it is a straight way to addiction.

Yes I am also sometimes a bit confused by such perspectives, but actually gambling can be fun when we focus on the process because I also feel it myself that the sensation of the game can really increase dopamine levels in the brain but the fun in gambling is likely to be felt only by responsible gamblers, although it is true that they lose money but if from the beginning they are aware of the risks then losing money should not change their point of view to be bad at gambling.

I don't think I have seen this mystery of a life changer in gambling as they may call it, I don't know if it is me alone, but today I have found out that indeed I don't feel that alone. I concur with you - though there are a few exceptional situations where gambling has brought change to the life of a person, in the majority of cases people lose more than they gain. Majority of the gamblers cannot retain their wins due to greed that sets in after winning. In the absence of definite limits and taming, the money will eventually vanish and most of them will be left poorer than ever. I know quite well that it is very difficult to see someone gambling change his life, and that's the reason in my previous post in this thread I said that people talk about the bad part of gambling all the time because it's very difficult to win that bet that will change people's lives for good. We even have to spend a lot of money before we can win a bet, and sometimes when we win a bet, it could be that we are just recovering some of our money we lost to gambling.
