I have literally never met anyone who won a life-changing amount of money.

There are people that I know who have won very large amounts of money, but not enough to call it life-changing.
Life changing is winning millions. And I do not know anyone like that.

Of course, life changing means winning a lot of money, you can win money through gambling, but that cannot be life changing. The chances of winning money while gambling are relatively low and the chances of losing are high. If someone says that I have won a lot of money while gambling, as a result my life has changed, then I do not believe this, because it is not possible to win such a big amount of money in gambling that it can change our life.

Actually I can't agree with this completely, the chances of losing in gambling are very high, but big wins are not impossible, and a big win can definitely change the life of a gambler, if he can withdraw the winnings immediately. When someone hits a jackpot in gambling, he can win a million $. Yes, the chances are very low, but many people have won them, and that is so much that it can change their lives. You can assume that 1% of gamblers have won such a large amount from gambling that it has changed their lives.

It is true that many people have changed their lives because of gambling but much more people in high numbers have paid for the expense because they need to lose for others to win, no one ever said that losses is everything that happens in gambling, there are always winning too.

You lose more is what I have always warned others about, winning doesn't come all the time like losses, and winning is different, some are not enough to change your life, meaning that everyone wins in gambling too, unfortunately many win too less in amount. As a starter you should always expect to lose more before you win, this is the part that many gamblers don't prepare for.

it's better to start gambling with the possibility of losing than winning, as this gives you self-control, which can help you control your greed and protect yourself from losing too much money. It's true that you can win by gambling, but it's not a very big amount, it's on a small amount. By following the right rules, we can win a small amount of money from gambling and protect ourselves from the risk of losing too much money and experience the real fun of gambling and control ourselves while protecting ourselves from addiction, but it's not possible to win such a big amount of money that can change your life.

I can completely agree with the title of the post, though it's two sided issue as many also cried for lossing heavily, gambling change some people for good as what the win most time is what they can afford at the time of their dream, personal experience of my neighbor who many known as jobless man who bearly eat two square meal, won 15 millions naira with less than five thousand naira he played the game with, which has automatically change the life and family of this man through wise council and withdrawal of not been push to continue in such a way he will loose that which he have won, today the man is doing well with the little investment made with the money.

 Even if he gamble his wise nature has neutralize addiction spirit because the value of the money he won still remain as those investment made is what sustain his life and family today , gambling has changed some life, for those whose better chance and opportunity where well utilize during their wining in gambling.

It is true that gambling can bring positive changes in someone's life if luck helps and the right decision is made but we also have to see that many people around us who have mostly lost by gambling. The number of people around me who have earned a lot of money by gambling or whose lives have changed is very few but it is very good to see you giving a real example of yourself here. It is true that if someone can use gambling in the right way and have restraint and control their greed then their success is pretty much guaranteed and if they can invest the money they get then it can really be said that gambling has changed their life.

In my life, I have seen many gamblers who have been in financial trouble and some who have won a good amount of money at once. I have not seen those who have won change their lives because when they have won a lot of money at once by gambling, they did not understand what to do with that money properly, but they fulfilled their temporary needs and again they could not control their greed and gambled more money and each time they lost. Within 6 to 12 months of winning the big money, they returned to their previous position and after winning the big money, they sold the things they had fulfilled their temporary needs and then gambled again and later they got into debt again.

Basically, it is very difficult to control your greed and when you suddenly get a lot of money, it is also difficult to use that money properly.

Thousands are very nice and I have seen such winners, but thousands are not going to change the life of anyone in the long term. Perhaps in the sense of an emergency requiring those thousands and too little time to gather it otherwise. But let us not talk about theoretical situations.

I don't think it's true that people do not talk about the good part of gambling; in fact, it's one of the most personal stories to tell. People talk more about success stories to avoid being judged. And most success stories are the reason some people also gamble. Some gamblers have won huge money in gambling and still gamble without being addicted to it. I know someone who is in school, all he does to keep going is gamble, and I haven't heard much negative feedback from his people.

Yes i agree to that, the positive effects of gambling to my life can not be compared to its lost, not that it will do same to all but if properly practiced i am sure each and everyone of us will experience its good.  Gambling is a very dangerous activity to get into if precaution is not taken to help guide once gambling action. It's true, some people have won and changed their lives, no one denies that. But the problem is that we only see these stories because they are rare. Those who lost everything don't go around telling everyone. The point isn't whether someone won, but whether it works for the majority and it usually doesn't.

in my opinion i think those that actually incur losses and get affected negatively have their stories online more than those that makes profit. it is not new to gamblers to come across sad stories about people that have lost it all in gambling, even on the forum we have seen stories about people that hit rock bottom because they lost all they had. Gambling is two ways , either you win or lose . So are there’s folk losing there are also some folks at there winning . So as gambling is ruining lives is also building and changing lives for the better or good . Most time the negative effect of gambling boils down to the gambler , imagine winning a nice sum of money.
