If I should choose, I also did not make money from gambling this year but I lost just very tiny amount of money if compared to the amount of money that I earned this year. The fun in gambling is not just the money you make, it is also about how you make sure gambling does not affect you financially.

I'm not sure I've made money from gambling without losing anything. I occasionally win, but in retrospect, it doesn't seem to outweigh the losses. I sometimes think the wins are large, and sometimes they're enough to cover previous losses. My gambling usually involves losing streaks, but no more than five. After that, I'll have a win, and there's some profit, but I don't think it covers all my losses since the beginning of 2025.

I like the straight question and the straight answers available. Voted already. Although I can't really account for all of my bets in 2025, I strongly doubt I'm a net positive. I'm of the belief that I'm net negative.

However, I don't think there's something I need to change in 2026 as far as gambling is concerned. Perhaps I just have to enjoy it more. I'm already enjoying it. I've gambled moderately, had fun.

If there's something I should do more, it's arbitrage betting during NBA playoffs. There's often a wide margin between odds on neighborhood betting and odds online. There's money there.

I am not making money this year. Far away from profit but I am ok because that is the risk of playing gambling. We need to be honest how we treat gambling so we know what we should do next year. If we think we don't make money from gambling, we can use it for fun. After all, using enough money is ok for playing gambling so we don't feel regret about the loss.

I’m not writing down my total wins and losses, but obviously I didn’t make a profit, if not, I must be at least break even. I almost made a good run and earned a 4 digit profit in October. That win could have recovered my losses for the year, but of course, it also made me overconfident, so in the end, I gave it back to the casino. Still, I think my loss isn’t that big because I was able to buy a lot of things and invest some in memecoins. If not slightly negative, I’m probably just break even.

The No’s will definitely supersedes the Yes in this case and it may not just be that because they were not gambling for fun but mostly because they gambled without even knowing what they’re getting at, chasing after big wins and risking too much. Those that gamble for fun are also doing that as a way to make them not to feel guilty of not using that approach, but most gamblers are gambling for the money and if they don’t win, they definitely get angry and maybe take decisions that still affects their finances. At the end of this poll, we will see why casinos will still remain profitable as we’ve a lot of desperate and uncoordinated gamblers trying to make quick money or chasing their losses after a loss.

I can see that many of us here voted no which is a normal thing because gambling is more of losing than winning. However, I think I would boldly say yes because this season was quite good on my side, the winning I had this season was something that I didn't expect due to the fact that other season was losing true out but I was able to recover back this year.

 And I'm still having strong feeling of more winning this week, so I will go with a yes.

I don't make much money from gambling, but occasionally it's quite profitable because I can hit big wins on slots and perhaps if calculate my overall involvement in gambling, deposits are much larger than withdrawals.
Can this be considered fun? And this is an answer I haven't found yet, because despite this fact, my interest in gambling remains quite strong, even though I always limit my gambling budget.

That’s exactly the point why we’re still gambling today, even after losing this year. The fact that we can keep playing, accept the losses, and not act stupid by blaming others already makes us responsible gamblers in my book. Imagine surviving this long in gambling and still knowing where you stand.

We clearly get some kind of happiness from it. Even if we’re spending money most of the time, let’s just call it spending since we lose more often than we win, we still come back and play again. And as long as we understand that and stay in control, that’s fine.

During 2025 I felt that the difference was very thin where the losses were slightly more than the wins. but the distance of the loss is not too large where it is almost close to a draw. In essence 40% win and 60% lose, that's what I experienced during 2025. But everything I bet did not exceed the limits of my ability to gamble, everything was still within affordable losses.

I hate to admit that I lost a lot this year, so I voted no and you are right, so many of us here did not make money in 2025, I've constantly been reminded that I should gamble for fun, but there were times that I was tempted to take a chance  if I see an opportunity that I have a chance to win, and most of the time I was wrong.

I didn't make a decent income gambling, but I didn't complain about it because I know this is going to happen no matter what. Yeah, I wasn't lucky enough to be good at gambling, but importantly, it gives some learnings that I use to apply to my daily activities.

I hope I can still stand longer than those who quit this year. Maybe I was okay for now, but of course, there is always an end, especially if I never find gambling entertaining anymore.

I made money from gambling this year because of change of mindset from gambling for fun and gambling for money. This change made me to focus mainly on the games that will give me just what I want and blocking every other noise from it. Not that I take gambling as a full time job, but I understand the potential in gambling which is why I try to give it the seriousness it deserve which is why I have seen much progress than in the past years why I think everything is about luck when it has to do with gambling.

I've selected the no option in poll but I've gambled this year and I won money in it, however, I still selected no because I'm someone who gambles for fun and when I win that makes me happy but if I lose I still enjoy the bets. When you gamble for fun with gambling responsibility then you don't really get stressed for losses or get happy for wins.

The fact is that I gamble for fun, so what I use is just a minute from what I earn, and I do this just to have fun and ease myself of some stress. However, I lose games, and I also win games, but won games this year without much record of it, as I do not bother about it because I have already set my mind for the gamble for fun mindset. This year was a bit on the positive side....I think I made more massive winnings that could cover up the losses so, yes i think I would be in a bit of a profit.

Though, I might not have statically the account of bets I placed this year but I can recall vividly massive winnings that could possibly cover up for the losses I had. It was a bit frustrating at some point with constant losses but there were times I redeemed those losses as well.

I made series of mistakes trying to chase losses and that only led to more losses but at some point I learnt self discipline and contentment and that changed the whole game for me.

Despite not having records of the amount I have lost or how much I have won, I think my answer is still no, because I believe I did not experience much winning. Instead, I experienced more losses.even so, I am not gambling to make money, I am gambling for fun, and I strongly believe that I will hardly ever see gambling as a way of making money. Lol, well I totally understand the feeling and surely alot of gamblers already planned of wining a decent amount before this year runs out. And I must say that some gamblers are lucky enough to achieve that while others was left behind. However, my own goal was to achieve $1k this year which I decided to start with $100 I'm sure that it is not too much to ask for, but it is not something that is worth struggling for i mean trying to take gambling as a priority just to achieve this amount rather I just Said it since it's a game of luck, but the funniest part is I haven't even grow my balance to $500 talk more of $1k when we only have few days to go.
