What we’re seeing now are gamblers using local operators. Honestly, it would’ve been better if POGOs weren’t banned, since they were catering to non-locals anyway. That way, locals stay protected while the government still earns from tax collections.

Taxes are for everyone for at least 2 century now, so it doesn't matter we have a job or running a business or simply bought the lottery with our last meal money and won the jackpot, we will be taxed, and most of the time the funds will be deducted from the winnings if it's a local casino or the user need to pay the taxes at their financial year's end.

Am not sure of the percentage as you have presented them, but i know that the new tax implementation is taking effect on January 2026 and am not also sure if they emphatically stressed it that the gambling section is going to be affected or not, this is why its more better to include reference to some updates we share for proper discussions, government cannot do without taking tax, but on gambling winnings is something not befitting at all in my opinion.

The government tax for almost everything, I head out of the $140 million AJ got from his recent first government is taken $66 million as tax however if he get killed in the fight the government won't care about his family as he will care and take care of them.

Every time i hear people complaining about taxes, they are taxes that concern them specifically. It doesn't seem too follow any other logic, like how much it benefits the infra, like should it be more taxing unhealthy products or what?

We don't have gambling win tax, but we have high taxes overall elsewhere on society. Would that suit you better? And our non-existing taxing for gambling is pretty much remain from the time when government had monopoly on all gambling. Money raised was mostly used for helping people, so everyone wanted people to gamble.

Now it's changing and taxing is probably going to start at some point as well, as i really don't understand how that's still not taxable.

Government major source of making money is through taxation so as an individual anything that puts money into your pocket you should expect your government to take it's own share of it. Your government don't need to tax you personally, the casino where you won will discreetly deduct the tax amount and give you the rest. Whether you are winning or losing your government is making money off you, they take from your wins and when you lose they take from the casino. That's how the government works: if you make money, the government has the right to collect it through taxes, but if you don't generate any income, the government has no right to help you. That's exactly how it is, there's nothing we can do about it and even though it hurts we just have to reluctantly comply, and it's a system designed that even before you're able to withdraw your profit the tax has being deducted from it. And it would have being better if certain incentives we given to the gambler perhaps at the end of the month or year from a total of the losses he might have endured for the period, unfortunately it's not done.
