If you are not gaining or your gambling strategy is not making money better to reassess if you are aiming to make money into this venue, gambling is a risky venue and it's tough to make money out from the house, you might be lucky at one point then suffer to lose after, balance and having a good mindset that practicing good discipline may allow you to win but if you think that you are no longer getting the outcome that youd desire, then better to stop and rest your mind for a while, it may help to prevent getting too deep and lead your way to addiction.
You can stop and take a break, but if it doesn’t change anything fundamentally once you return to gambling after the break, then that pause doesn’t have much meaning. It’s necessary not only to take breaks, but also to change your approach to gambling and your strategy. Only in that case you can expect any real changes. But if you’re simply losing and then take a break, after the break you’ll most likely just continue losing.
If you take a break and when you come back you make the same mistake, then your break was a waste. There is something wrong with the gambling that you are doing and if you realize that then it is a very good thing because it is the key that we can change our gambling or even be able to stop gambling completely if we feel that we can no longer control ourselves.
Gambling should not change us, emotionally or otherwise. But the problem is that gambling carries a huge risk of becoming emotionally unstable which in turn makes us change.
