My peace of mind was more important to me at this day over every other thing. I could definitely place a bet some other day, but not on the end of the year.

This happens when a person fails to see the true purpose of gambling and ends up viewing it as a source of income, where losing causes great sadness and disappointment. But if a person viewed gambling purely as a form of entertainment, then they could gamble even at the end of the year and have a lot of fun. Few people are able to see gambling as a form of entertainment.

In my opinion, I gamble most of the times for the profits because I may not have enough to gamble for fun so I cannot take chances on betting on possibilities that could be unimaginable.

This is a path that leads to ruin in most cases; the person loses control, loses all their possessions, loses their family, and loses good mental health by becoming addicted to gambling. Rethink your perspective on gambling.

I just managed to celebrate the new year with a win, honestly it was very fun, at first yes I also didn't have money to play but coincidentally there was a friend of mine who managed to get a win on the type of slot game and he gave a small portion of his winnings to me for my capital to play.

The martingale strategy encourages one to chase losses. Two things you need to correct if you intend to keep gambling in the coming year, one you must you reduce your expectations when gambling and secondly you must also reduce the amount you staked. While that is true, there is a global understanding of what is a small amount and what is a lot. Even if you are Elon Musk, betting 10 million dollars on a match is a lot, not because he can't afford it, he can burn 10 million dollars to stay warm and it still wouldn't hurt him, but it still doesn't make sense to bet that much on a single match, it's still a lot, relatively speaking. For that day no gambling, since it is festive period which comes once a year but my gambling activities is daily so I had to focus on the festive season which made me hardly find out time for my gambling activities.
