Hashrate has moved up significantly over the past day, I guess the weather has improved enough for the big farms to start switching back on. My guess is they were waiting for the diff adjustment before switching back on.

WRT price, there are $Billions of shorts stacked against BTC presently all in the $70k region this fragility puts pressure on BTC could trigger a massive sell-off which is what I've been expecting for a while.

I still expect BTC to dump into the $45k region before a genuine recovery starts.

  I write them off the year I buy them. My cost is complex but pretty much they have been written off in 2024 and 2025.

  I very likely will not buy miners this year.
I purchased a lot of btc in the 60k to 75k range,

I basically have nothing to do but post for 2026.

So 8.2% off. About 82eh

A few sources guess that at least 50 eh was in Iran and that is all offline.

No news that I can find showing if any Iranian mines were simply destroyed by bombs and the like.

It is also Possible  that Iran targeted btc mines in closeby countries since they did hit 11 countries.

If the 82eh offline  is all due to the middle east it will take a bit of time to ramp up.

Hash rate needs to be watched closely next jump.

if the network was 1000eh and is now 920eh will we stay at 920eh?

well if the drop is almost all Iran and not much AI we will likely gain the hash back, but if miners are moving to AI things could be very interesting in the next six months. We could go a lot lower in hash.

This 2 week period coming up is important.

How much of the drop is Iran based
How much of the drop is AI grabbing power.
How much of the drop is lack of profits.

I would think if most of the drop was from Iran being shut down we will see +1 or +2 %

But if it is a Switch of power to AI we will drop as much as -4 to -6%.

Trumps says he may blowup all of Iran's power plants this week.


If he does it will set Iran back a lot. Time will tell just what effect the Iran war had for BTC mining.

It is a hard time for many people.
