There are so many reasons why so many people get addicted to gambling but one of the major reason is because they are looking for quick money, so they continue doing it everyday to see if they can actually get lucky, without even knowing that they are gradually getting addicted to it. So gradually it then becomes hard to stop.

Because new gamblers want to make fats money from betting due to what they have nee hearing and seeing online. There mindset is that they could be highly profitable if they find their way to gamble very often so that making money from betting will be profitable.
I don't think that all gamblers are going to be profitable from gaming and because of this, we should learn how to gamble for a limit interval and whatsoever be the outcome, it is better to leave and come back another day to reduce yhe possibility of getting addicted to gambling.

Most of the gamblers think that if they keep playing they will hit it big one time and the consistency of doing this is the number one reason for addiction in gambling in my opinion. I also thought like that a lot of time and ended up losing a lot of money during the long run in my gambling time. Most gamblers follow different gambling channels in social media and they also watch streamers online which contribute to them thinking even more about how they will hit a real big score one day, huge max win like that x500.000 multiplier in a NoLimitCity game or the jackpot. Gambling addiction is a habit that take place as a result of a gambler being unable to control his or her gambling lifestyle.

One thing that causes gambling addiction is chasing losses, when a gambler cannot let go, and wants to recover losses, this can definitely lead to gambling addiction.

Following friends who are addicted to gambling can equally affect your gambling lifestyle, because you can easily be initiated or imbibed into gambling addiction .

Some of us who uses stats to gambling, everytime we feel we can easily succeed by the information we get or bit the gambling market so easily, but the more you want to be familiar with the stats , the more you fail.

Sometimes, some gamblers see gambling as a way to make quick money, instead of waiting for investment that rewards in the long run, they resort in gambling where they  think they can win huge very quickly, and this notion makes them gamble without control.

Taken gambling as an source of income is not a smart move , it will definitely lead to a lot of negative effect because one will have to rely on it as their source , and as a source its role is to help with earning . And many will gamble frequently (because they believe it will increase their chances of winning big ).

actually you may be right in your opinion that is Exposure may causes excessive participation of gambling but what I know very well that might cause excessive participation of gambling is due to expectation of The Gambler because when you are gambling and you all have a mind to make a money through gambling that can cause gambling addict so I believe the people who is gambling addict there are into it because of what the expected to benefit from gambling there is nobody who is gambling addict today without having a mind that it will make a reasonable profit from gambling so much of losses can also lead to excessive gambling habits

Those who use gambling seriously are addicted to gambling. Again, those who use gambling as fun but gamble regularly are also addicted to gambling. Because if you gamble regularly, it becomes a habit. Gambling is not a bad thing, but those who lose control over themselves and gamble by ignoring their important work and thinking of gambling as an easy means of income are addicted to gambling and they are addicted to gambling and they are addicted to it in such a way that gambling takes away everything from them. And in the end, they cannot live their normal life. Only depression and being known as a bad person in the eyes of the people of the society.

True, people got reasons why they are being addicted and of a true, some reasons don't justify their actions, they make their choices and stick to it, if they were able to handle things and do the right thing, there is no way they can just fall into the ditch and become a victim of circumstances, that is why they are to always understand what gambling is and stick to it because self awareness does help and can also safe them from disasters.

There are many reasons as to why people can get addicted quite easily in gambling. These are just 2.
1. Easy access to it makes it harder to stop - Online casinos popping out out of nowhere, betting applications being seen on social media platforms, and not only that but all of them can be accessible 24/7. Gamblers can have access to these online gambling websites and because they can gamble anytime only with their phone or computer, it becomes easier for them to play repeatedly and the more they play, the higher the chances of them getting addicted into it.

2. The hope of making quick money - We know that there are many gamblers who have this kind of mindset where they'll gamble because they believe that it's the quickest way to make money for them. Many gamblers are getting attracted to gambling because of that mindset. The possibility of getting a huge payout keeps them hopeful and despite of the fact that the odds are against them, they'll still gamble and that causes them to continue gambling repeatedly therefore, the higher the chances of getting addicted.

Of course, there are still more, and TBH, gambling addiction is becoming a concern for some countries already. I'm not against gambling per se because anybody can just built their own gambling company, but I'm worried about those people who are getting affected by it negatively.

It is mostly about self discipline and not any of those. When u don't discipline ur self and have self control, u'll easily be addictive to gambling TBH.
But personally, I use to feel that, when someone gamble mostly for fun, den they can easily get addicted, but when u gamble for money, and ur seeing significant losses with no hope in sight, even though some people keep going, at some point, u'll sit and reflect, and this will lead to either reduction in the frequency, or complete withdrawal from it, that's just my opinion.

You are right that the issue of loss chasing is the next step in losing in gambling. First he has to lose and then he will try to lose chasing. If the amount of loss goes beyond his ability, then a mentality like loss chasing will be created. Then even though the probability of losing is high, the desire to win helps him to bet aggressively again and again. This is where addiction starts. Which goes to a much bigger level with time. That is why I think a gambler should always keep the risk within his ability . If he loses and suffers that he does not have the ability to recover, then his life will be ruined because of that gambling.

I believe something like this has being discussed so many times here on the Gambling board and I don't think it should be a new thing anymore or something worth disccusing anymore.

- But that is by-the-way, things that can cause addiction is when a player is very eager to make money through gambling.
