Investing for gambling is a complete scam I think your neighbor has cheated you. Such a thing has never happened to me and I am aware of this because I know that you do not have to invest for gambling and there is no game where you can win huge amounts of money by investing in the game. Maybe your neighbor cheated you and wanted to take your money. But it is better to stay away from such neighbors and not let all these neighbors come to your house because all these neighbors look for ways to harm another neighbor.

I don't think we are any more stupid than a donkey. When we have truly felt the negative impact and losses of irresponsible gambling, it should make us realize that we need to immediately withdraw from gambling and decide not to return to it. I have been in a group chat where people different games into the group and you’ll be the one to choose if you want to bet on them or not. I don’t think anyone has ever approached me to help them bet on a game and if it goes as planned I’ll give them a little out of it. I have never done it and I will never do it, if you’re so sure of your game then go take a loan and bet on it, don’t come and use my money for experiments.

I think you might have done it for that your neighbor in the past and that’s why he has the audacity to approach you with such a request, if you haven’t done something like that for him I doubt he would have approached you like that.

When you get the taste of gambling it's hard to stop. Even though I consider myself a responsible gambler sometimes even I lose my control and end up doing things I don't plan to.
The way I have limited myself is by limiting my deposits to gambling sites and making it harder for myself to deposit more out of my regular budgeting. Emptying your bankroll in a site is generally a soft limiting factor which would prevent most people from keep on gambling. There still need to be a degree of self discipline to be a responsible gambler.

It was good to hear your speech. Nowadays, most people forget their past. They forget what mistakes they made in the past and repeat that mistake again and again. Then they fall into the same trap again and again. You have proven to your neighbor without directly telling him that past mistakes should not be repeated.

Gambling is a place of entertainment. If someone loses money by making the same mistakes again and again, then he is addicted. Addicted gamblers are irresponsible. They are far from their sense of responsibility and choose the most difficult path while looking for easy ways to make money. It is never possible to make money by gambling. They are just trying to play gambling but not with their own money so the language is slightly softened by saying investing for gambling.
I have experienced offers like this even from people closest to me even though I was not deceived but indeed this is a little annoying because the words my friend said after I did not follow his wishes actually made me not say hello until now.

it might not really be gambling addiction , there are some people that just want to show others that they are good gamblers or they have accurate predictions. perhaps if he was able to convince him to bet on the game and ended up winning the bet he would have put trust in his predictions. but there is also a chance that he is chronically addicted to the point that he looks for any means to gamble even when he's broke

Same, every time I met people like this or experienced this kind of situation, sometimes I just laugh in my mind or in front of that person (depends on the person, I just don't want them to get offended).
Some people even force you to believe, especially some of the platforms they are talking about are fishy or suspicious because here in our country, there are lot of illegal gambling platforms, some are underground and those platforms are fishy and I am really against on those.

This is not a new method of manipulation. For example, you are told to bet $10 and you win. This is always a red flag, not only in gambling but in any form of investment, and even in crypto trading.
If someone asks you to invest your money for them and they will guarantee you some returns, as they claim they're an expert in this "X" field, or let's say in a specific gambling game, that alone raises a question. Why can't they do it themselves with their own money? If they don't have it currently, they can always borrow or make a loan so they can provide for themselves, and then pay them back later.


So, no, I did not fall for this kind of scheme, not once in my life. If somebody offers me something too good to be true, I'd immediately refuse 99% of the time. The 1% doesn't mean I'm totally in for it, but that is when I have second thoughts, but still refuse later on, lol.
In everything we do with a goal of earning, we have to do the dirty work, not depending on other people.  That's the only time we can guarantee our money or investment is safe, and that includes gambling. Don't let other people enjoy the process of gambling while using your money.
