VPN + Tor + poor internet connection = possible complications. Especially with a free VPN
There's no need to use VPN when you use Tor, all your traffic will go through Tor circuits with different IP addresses from different locations. I never use any kind of VPN on Tor but I must say that these days people have good internet, even with 1 or 2 Mbps internet connection one can use Tor easily. I personally have 6 Mbps connection and it's quite fast for my needs. I do have another connection that's 20 Mbps but I rarely use that connection as that's a shared connection used by others at my place.

You can try Tor, the site works perfectly on Tor. I personally visit the site using Tor browser and I've never faced any issue by using the clear net version and by using the Onion version. I think it's much better to use Tor than using a VPN, and to use an instant exchange it's preferred to not use your WIFI IP directly for security and privacy purpose.
Yes, there was a temporary problem but later after clearing everything and trying again, it worked properly. You have given a good suggestion here which I did not consider before. VPN is generally used occasionally but the most secure option is to use TOR. Although I do not use TOR that much because I never really had such a need, from now on I will definitely try to use TOR for my own privacy. VPN + Tor + poor internet connection = possible complications. Especially with a free VPN
While using TOR, even if the internet speed is good, it works slowly when entering websites in the browser. But if VPN+TOR+POOR NET are used together at the same time then while entering the browser it will keep loading until it finally (time out).

If it is accessible by Tor, I would like to use Tor. If it is not Tor-accessible, I would like to use VPN. If Internet is good, I would like to use both VPN + Tor because it's best if I always use VPN, then if necessary, I use Tor as another layer for privacy. I believe that it is a good habit on Internet because if I don't always turn VPN on, perhaps I will lose my privacy when I am careless. TBH, Tor's unwillingness to handle this, as well as the overall weakness of Tor's anonymity when compared to the cutting edge in academic research, makes me think that Tor may be infiltrated by anti-privacy interests.

Using multiple solutions at the same time is not always an improvement over strictly using one solution however. In many situations, it only complicates and actually creates loop holes and flaws. For example. Using VPN and Tor at the same time will be a big disadvantage because of time stamps correlation. Anyway. The only reason I would see someone using VPN before Tor is to hide that they are using Tor from their ISP, but there is the bridge option particularly for that situation. And it would be a really bad 'second layer of protection' because it does not really protect you from any thing. In fact it makes more problems. Your Tor traffic now going through a VPN which is REALLY bad. Whonix has a great article about the risks of combining VPN and Tor ( https://www.whonix.org/wiki/Tunnels/Introduction). I am pretty sure Tor Project had one or at least a statement at some point but I can not find it right now. From the Whonix article, In the User → VPN → Internet configuration or User → VPN → Tor → Internet configuration, anonymous payments with Bitcoin, cash and other methods does not improve anonymity because a user is still connecting to the service from their own IP address (which can be logged).
In the User → VPN → Internet configuration or User → Tor → VPN → Internet configuration the use of shared IP addresses does not confuse modern surveillance systems which have a many additional fingerprinting methods (like user agents) to identify persons of interest.

Yes, it's good practice to use Tor on instant exchanges, since those exchanges work perfectly on Tor that's why it makes sense to visit those sites using Tor browser. A good VPN by a trusted provider is going to be a good option but the overall best option is Tor and it's free. Although, I've heard that one can use Proton VPN freely these days but there're limited locations one could use and far locations will make your internet ms higher and that will make loading of sites slower.

Yes, some sites have registration restrictions when using (Tor), so for the sites that cannot be accessed using (Tor), it can be an alternative to check whether they can be used with a good (Vpn) If Internet is good, I would like to use both VPN + Tor because it's best if I always use VPN, then if necessary, I use Tor as another layer for privacy. The steps you use to protect your own privacy are correct because maintaining our privacy is better, and that is better done by using (Vpn) and (Tor). Although most of the time I use (Vpn). However, if the internet is good, then using both (Vpn) and (Tor) is a personal matter for each person, but using both together keeps us more secure from the privacy point of view.

According to the second screenshot posted by Etranger, b1exch initially stated that the client would receive approximately 0.32570179 SOL. It is understandable that this rate could have changed between the time the order was created and the time b1exch received LTC. And it did change: in the third screenshot, we can see that once the transaction had appeared on the Litecoin blockchain but had not yet received the required number of confirmations, b1exch was already showing a higher amount to be received: 0.32687153 SOL. However, in the fourth screenshot, we can see that the final amount was lower than both the first and the second figures: 0.32534800 SOL. It is unfortunate that Etranger did not take a screenshot after b1exch had completed the exchange but before the funds reached the client, because, in my experience, the rate may change once again at that stage. When I made an exchange, b1exch initially showed that it was sending me one amount, but once the transaction was completed, that amount was changed to the amount I actually received. Have other users noticed the amount changing at the final stage, after the exchange stage has been completed and during the sending stage? At what point can the rate displayed on the website actually be considered final? Is it really only final after the funds have been received? What causes the amount to change at the sending stage?

Most likely processing fees. The network can get a bit more expensive while they send the tx. According to the second screenshot posted by Etranger, b1exch initially stated that the client would receive approximately 0.32570179 SOL.

That makes up for the huge difference of -0,00116974 SOL ($0,08).

The information at this link also states that experienced users who know how to configure both technologies without compromising their privacy can use a VPN + Tor combination, and it provides a link to their wiki on this topic, which contains a very comprehensive article - though it was last edited in 2020, and with topics like this, it’s best to rely on up-to-date information. But if anyone is interested, here’s the link: https://gitlab.torproject.org/legacy/trac/-/wikis/doc/TorPlusVPN

Using VPN + Tor isn't a bad idea for enhancing privacy but it should be done in the best way possible. A user will have to subscribe to a VPN service that doesn't keep logs of the user and then such user can connect to VPN first and after that connect to Tor. It's not going to be easy to trace someone who uses a secure VPN + Tor even if an attackers somehow finds a bug in Tor the user can still be somehow safe as the attacker won't see the original IP address of the user but see the IP address given by the VPN service.

Tor itself seems discouraged from using a VPN while using Tor. Their advice is also countable; we can’t ignore the fact. For setting up a VPN properly, users should have some advanced knowledge and skill; otherwise, it would backfire. For me, while browsing through Tor, I don’t feel it’s necessary to use another VPN. Remember, at the end of the day a VPN would have your IP somehow. But on Tor, chances are lower to track you from there.

People, simply use Tor, use the Onion link when exchanging on b1exch and you are good. Use a VPN to watch a Netflix show that is not available in your country and such purposes. If Tor and VPN would have offered any increase in Privacy and security, I am guessing Tor would have offered a VPN feature on the Tor Browser as well. And Tails too, and Whonix. But they do not for a reason and I can only assume they know better.

Following the whole drama surrounding the Coldcard wallet, one cannot help but wonder what the next step will be for the one who is currently managing the stolen Bitcoins. As one of the 100% no-kyc exchanges, b1exch could perhaps be misused to swap these coins, thus becoming a participant in money laundering. Question to b1exch, do you have a scenario ready in such a case? The Bybit hack greatly influenced the persecution of eXch and its subsequent closure, it would be really bad if a similar fate befell another no-kyc service

Let's say they just block every address from a list connected to this hack. Can't the hackers just move the coins around, Coinjoin here and there, and swap from a different set of addresses? Or is b1exch going to screen every address and maybe even do a KYC check if anything bad is detected? My point is: Sometimes you start controlling which coins are good and you won't just stop there.

When I made an exchange, b1exch initially showed that it was sending me one amount, but once the transaction was completed, that amount was changed to the amount I actually received. The amount does indeed change, and the longer the exchange process takes, the higher the probability that the final amount received will differ from the one initially stated. But in the case of SOL, the difference is not large enough to even notice, let alone be felt significantly. At the same time, in my experience, there were exchanges where the amount differed considerably, and I lost about $25 out of $100. Usually, this happened when exchanging bitcoin. And that was back on the "old" exchangers of an earlier generation. Now the technologies are already much better.

Tor only suggest normal users to not use a VPN because they mostly use the public VPN's that keep logs of the users. The ones who're technically good and who might use privacy VPN service may not face any issue by combining both. But, I agree it's better to use Tor directly as that won't cause any issue either and speed will be better if Tor is connected directly instead of connecting to VPN first. I know some people who use services like B1exch or other instant exchanges directly via their IP addresses but I think the better approach is to use Tor to enhance privacy.

The Bybit hack greatly influenced the persecution of eXch and its subsequent closure, it would be really bad if a similar fate befell another no-kyc service
No-KYC services have to face with such risk but no KYC is different than blacklisting tainted coins. Let's say they just block every address from a list connected to this hack. Can't the hackers just move the coins around, Coinjoin here and there, and swap from a different set of addresses? Or is b1exch going to screen every address and maybe even do a KYC check if anything bad is detected? Bitcoin is the old and biggest Bitcoin forum so like one user above worried, Coldcard hackers will try to find places, services to launder their hacked coins and this forum as well as altcoinstalks forum can be their destinations for searching something. Perhaps there are other forums but honestly I am not an expert in darknet. It's technically possible for b1exch to do that and they will have to take action soon as hackers can keep hacked fund dormant along time or will launder it very soon. My point is: Sometimes you start controlling which coins are good and you won't just stop there.
It's like censorship, I dislike it but I am realistic that sometimes business for example exchanges will have to do right things for safety and existence of their business.

I doubt that the heavily tracked coins will be sent to such swap services. I think it's unlikely that the thieves of such a massive amount would trust it to a service that gains full control over the cryptocurrency, even if only during the swap. For the thieves, the fact that b1eXch doesn’t collect user data shouldn’t be as important as the fact that b1eXch itself will have the technical capability to steal all those funds. If I were them, I would clean such a haul using atomic swaps.
