OP this is great work so far, and it's going to be useful for sure, but I wouldn't be me if I didn't have some remarks to add
I noticed that BRDb website is loading very slow when I open main page, while my own page or page from some other member is opening faster.
I really like merit flow chart, it reminds me a bit on bitcoin coinjoin mixing.

Without your feedback, this project would still be in its infancy, which is why I desperately need other people's opinions. I made some fixes, unfortunately after yesterday's imports I made the queries heavier and slower.It should be much faster now! Definitely not lightning-fast, but faster than before. It used to take about 17 seconds to load everything, now it shouldn't take more than 5 seconds.

As for the graph, I took inspiration from an old Bitcointalk user, it seemed like a nice graph, I studied it a bit and implemented it

Visually beautiful, I hope it is useful to someone

No slowness from my end by the way! Maybe because the site is already cached to my browser. It almost loads instantly.

A few thoughts...

On the explorer section - under moderation and security logs - there are no specific date to an event - it only shows X days ago. Maybe if possible, please add on which date an event was logged (example: 21 September XYZ user got Nuked).

A few seconds of slowness with Board Overview section. I guess that's normal since it's fetching a lot of stats data.

I'm not looking for perfection, but rather for something useful. Perfection is subjective; not everyone sees things the same way.
I have some other minor things in mind to implement, but I'll post about them later.

I implemented a pre-warm of the data, so as to always have the cache warm and have the data always available.

As for mod&seclog, bitcointalk does not return an event date, what you see is just the date the scraper found the event and stored it, but it does not reflect the actual date the post was banned or deleted. If you prefer to see the more or less indicative date I can do it

Seems fine from my end. The search result comes as soon as I hit the button (almost instantly as you can see).

Note that, I'm damn sure the usernames weren't cached anywhere inside my browser. I used two separate browser for the test. And, one of them was totally fresh, newly installed, first time visiting the brdb site.

As for mod&seclog, bitcointalk does not return an event date, what you see is just the date the scraper found the event and stored it, but it does not reflect the actual date the post was banned or deleted. If you prefer to see the more or less indicative date I can do it

In that case, can't you just add the event date when the scraper logged it first? So as long as the scraper doesn't fail or get stuck, the dates will be correct.

btw, do you have any plan to acquire the old sec & mod log data? So far, I have changed my forum password 3 times (lifetime). But your site doesn't reflect that anywhere.

I can give you 7 years of daily modlog snapshots: loyce.club/other/tmp/ace/ (scheduled to be deleted in 14 days).
I might have missed a day sometimes, and I might have added a duplicate, but most of the data will have been taken daily. That should give a pretty good estimate of when things happened.

For seclog, see my seclog log for 6 years of data. Seclog comes with timestamps.

Thanks a lot, I'm already importing the modlogs, although I've found it quite difficult to do so.
Your modlogs are made in daily snapshots, it's not a problem in itself, and that a sigban (for example) I found 79 times in different files  So I had to deduplicate all the eventualities, however, for the seclogs I shouldn't have any problems since they are saved with a timestamp!

I did the same for my Sigban list. It was annoying to deal with.
But I don't see how one sigban could have ended up in there 79 times: with daily snapshots each event should have been in there exactly 7 times.

You're right. I double-checked just to be sure and realized I'd used a too generic grep command, basically just checking uid.

With a more specific grep I find exactly 9 times the sigban applied to that uid, which would still be 7 days, there are double daily snapshots, one in the morning and one in the late evening

Based on what factors this thing is calculated (assuming it's the merits, right)? Achieving daily, or weekly awards might be possible, but monthly or all time! Man that's hard af.

Btw, I can't remember properly, but previously you had added something like badges for certain users! Like most recognized, or most merits, or discovery of the year winner, or forum hero of the year. I don't see that anymore. Yes, the awards sections are there beside the mod log, but no recognition badge.

The community awards badges were in the old BRDb, but I have to enter those manually, I will do it later

Anyway yes, they are based on Merit, I have all the history of the Merit TX in the database so it's easy, just data manipulation and nothing more. Automatically every day the script takes a snapshot of the previous day and elects the best user who has obtained the most Merit
The only condition used is that the tx must be ≥ 5. This may be a limitation, but it indicates that more users liked the post and it was deserved! However, this excludes the possibility that a post might get 50 Merit but from only one TX.

Getting small small amount of merits from many VS getting a massive amount of merit bomb in a single go - i personally would choose the one where it got appreciated by more people (community). Merit and the amounts are really subjective and it varries from person to person. I choose the first one because more people thought a topic was helpful/merit deserving (collective appreciation).
