If I want to show some passion, I could just subscribe as a fan to a football club and start contributing my share. When it comes to betting, I can play the opponent to win if they are worth it and support my team for the game, or better yet, not place any bet on the game at all if it gives off an uncertainty vibe.
Anyone who bets because of passion or loyalty actually needs a checkup .

What satisfy you most about your passion is the happiness you get from a thing without considering money. It's okay if money comes afterwards.

Betting is not a way of showing passion. It's purely a ground to make money. It's business. The more people accept this, the better for them because the feeling or disguising the truth for passion is one of the reasons people don't realize to getting addicted. They see the addiction sings as signs of passionate individual and will never accept they're getting into addiction.

Yes, most gamblers probably think that way. Gambling is not just about making money or focusing solely on profit, but rather there is enjoyment/fondness for a particular club.

Unlike me, who is more focused on profit opportunities, there may be moments when i also place bets on my favourite club even though the chances of winning are smaller, but that's okay, as long as it's that club. In other matches, i will definitely choose the club that has a greater chance of winning by analysing various aspects, such as statistics, the existing squad, strategy, etc.

Not all the time. I mostly watch the NBA, sometimes boxing, etc. I haven’t watched MLB, but I’ve placed parlays on it before. It just shows that sometimes bettors aren’t really into the sport, they’re just there to bet. They like betting itself, not the sport or the match. There are also people who only bet on their favorite sport, like the NBA, and usually just bet on their favorite team. On the other hand, there are people who are interested only in sports and not betting. That’s probably the one we can safely assume is pure passion.

It all depends on each perspective. I think a passion for betting stems from the game they're about to watch, not necessarily their favorite team. For example, if I see Liverpool vs Sunderland as an interesting match to bet on, I'll bet on this match even though I'm not a Liverpool fan.

There are different kinds of passion for sports, and gambling is definitely not one of them. Athletes for example, they put in a lot of work and effort to improve because of their love for the sport. Fans are also passionate, but they don't do the sport themselves, they just like analyzing and have fun watching the games. They show their passion by supporting the teams and athletes that they like, not by placing bets on them.

I don't see it that way. In fact, betting is more of a business or investment for me, I risk what I can afford to lose. The only difference is, you can't be in full control of the outcome, unlike if you are having a real investment or business, you will know when to profit when you start seeing a progress in your business or investment.

You can use the word passion, its meaning, and definition on betting to describe your love for betting in the sports you love, and I have seen this being used in many articles. You're not an expert to define it, where, and how to use that word.

One should never consider betting as a passion. It has nothing to do with it. In simple if you're passionate about a sport or some other profession you'll love it and you'll keep on pushing yourself to reach what you're passionate about. When it comes to betting, out of luck you might be winning and the lack of luck sometimes make you loss. In such situation, even the hard work you've put doesn't let you reach what you aimed. On this note gambling shouldn't be considered as passion. A passion doesn't need an outcome, it needs to give joy throughout the process.

This is a problem of perspective as people see gambling differently and have different approach and opinions to it.
someone somewhere may gamble as a  show of passion for example in football someone may show his love for his team only by betting on games that he team is playing just as a show if support for that team,  someone else who sees gambling as a means of making money will bet on multiple games  whether his team is playing in them or not and he may not even gamble on football alone but other sports like boxing or basketball.. or even casinos.
This all depends on the individual and how they have been brought up..  aso yes Gambling can also be a show of passion in some cases.

Personally, when I started gambling, I see it as a passion. But when the reality of gambling hits me, I realized that I have to deal it more as a business rather than settle with passion.

And for some reason it works, because I only bet using a manageable capital, and I only bet when I think there is high probability of winning. But if you bet just for pure passion, I guess it will give you series of headache knowing your passion is the reason why you're into great loss.

It makes absolutely no sense, it's almost hilarious to even think about hearing something like that.

The best way to support your team or your favorite sport is to watch it, to cheer for the team. If at least a portion of the money wagered were directed to the federation/league responsible for the sport or to the team in question, it could even be justified in this way.

Betting is not reflecting someone loves sport. Even non knowledge person can randomly place a bet into the sport that he has 0 knowledge about. It shows it no needs passion to sport to be involved in the sport betting. It's just a facility to make money. Imagine someone who never watched football think to tries their luck on football sport betting. So can we call he loves football just caused by that?
