Betting is not reflecting someone loves sport. Even non knowledge person can randomly place a bet into the sport that he has 0 knowledge about. It shows it no needs passion to sport to be involved in the sport betting. It's just a facility to make money. Imagine someone who never watched football think to tries their luck on football sport betting. So can we call he loves football just caused by that?

IMHO, a passionate fan can go that far that everything that involves the athletes they love and the team that they're a part of can do things like betting.

Despite that they're not used to it but for them, it's like an ego issue that they have to support their beloved team at all cost even it means gambling for them.

They do not care about the money, and you know the money is very little, it's about the feelings, the happiness, and the engagement they have with the game. Like what I mentioned above, there are many ways to show support and passion on the team that you are cheering. Betting is perhaps one of those ways but that is not exclusive to show confidence. I believe it differs on each person. There are people who really love certain sport and watch and support them. It means they’re passionate about that sport. They could also start learning getting into sports betting since as a supporter, they often see other people betting on sports.

While there are people who just love betting. And started liking the sports while betting but I wouldn’t call it “passionate” enough if they’re just watching the sports because they made a bet on it.

Personally, I wouldn’t say that im passionate enough for sports that i usually make bets. Though when i started it, i tried learning and undersranding more about the sport so i can understand it.
