Obviously Americans are fine with it, they were fine when they went to Libya, they were fine when they went to Iraq, they were fine when they had a war with Afghanistan, they were fine when they had a war with Vietnam, they never really bothered or cared. Americans have lived all their life in war, and all they know is war, so if any of their presidents ever open a war against another nation, they are not phased by it.
There are few other nations like that, but most of us do not live that. So we are shocked when there is a new war, and bothered by it, but they do not care because it's normal to them. Even in this topic, you get to see some Trumpers who are in love with him and defend him, even when he is causing hurt all over the world.

Since Trump's election, there have been many protests against him, but most of them have been in opposition to domestic policies. Similar to the riots currently taking place in Los Angeles as people protest against ICE. There has never been a notable protest by them against what their government has done to other countries and people around the world
It seems American are not too concerned about what their government does to the rest of the world. As long as their lives in the country are guaranteed and fully provided for. Therefore, I also think that the American people should bear some responsibility for what their government has done to the world.
You should not take any of that at face value. Most of the people in the protest are part of 2 groups. The first are paid agitators and protestors, yes there are actually companies and entities that pay you to come and falsely protest for something as a way to spread propaganda through physical appearance -- most people do not know this or are able to comprehend the scale on which this is happening. Second are people who are completely delusional, biased or derive benefit from illegals or whatever stuff is being abused. Think about it. If you create measures to stricter social aid, which will reduce corruption severely, you will have mass protests by people who are abusing these things or who have friends or family members that are abusing them. Should we listen to these people? No. Actually, swift and mass arrests for corruption is what would sort this thing out. This is where China is better than the west, even high level corruption is exterminated as soon as it is encountered. The western world, Europe especially, is very corrupt from the bottom up. According to my opinions Donald Trump represent a serious risk to global economy and peace. The reason is that during his government he seen very unpredictable and make decisions which are very uncertain for global economy especially when he used aggressive politics importantly in sensitive areas then its create trouble for many people around the world. But global politics not depends only on one individual and decisions are prepared by advisers and according to global demands. Its necessary to focus on long term stability rather than fear and blame and it can be important to understand that Worlds peace depends on balanced leadership. And also for expected worst outcomes open discussion and critical thinking is the key of solution.
This is a false reasoning that does not make sense. The inversion of this is that doing very predictable decisions is what guarantees stability and peace, really? If the main adversaries can predict what you will do and when you will do it, the battle is already lost. There may be a period of stability in the short-term but in the long term that leads to worse outcomes than this does.

The last real war can be considered the Iraq war, and since then there have been only interventions in places like Libya, Syria and others but those are not wars. Actually we are in a prolonged period where the US has not started a new war surprisingly. Either something is changing or there is bound to be a problem soon. Don't blame Trump personally for the American war machine. It goes beyond both parties.

I just want to ask, if the US and its allies had the right to possess nuclear weapons and use them to threaten other nations. Why is it that other countries such as North Korea and Iran attempting to acquire nuclear weapons are considered a threat to world peace?
If I remember correctly, the US currently possesses over 5,000 nuclear warhead, ranking second only to Russia
Is the US the creator of this world, and does this world belong to them? Otherwise, why should we listen to them and believe that everything they say is the truth?
You're right, and I also don't advocate that the United States should have nuclear weapons while other countries don't. The problem isn't nuclear energy itself, but rather the weapons and the purposes for which they are used. Nuclear energy is beneficial and could be the solution for a future where natural resources become increasingly scarce or extinct, especially for electricity generation. In my response, I wanted to cite countries dominated by tyrants, and even if Trump is one of them, the American people still have the democratic and legally established right to remove him from power if necessary, something that countries like Iran and North Korea don't have, where any disagreement with the government leads to death. If the United States is a threat, imagine countries dominated by extremists?

However, all these strong man acting of Trump was as the result of what he experiences in his first tenure, he didn't want it to repeat again for people to take his rulership as what they could do rubbish and get away with it. Being strict and unpredictable is how he chooses to rule his government

You're right, and I also don't advocate that the United States should have nuclear weapons while other countries don't.
You like to write illogical nonsense in every thread, don't you? What exactly is the alternative to this? There are only 3: 1) The USA does not posses nuclear weapons, this does not stop any adversary or malicious entity from having them. The result of this: One-sided catastrophe of the developed world or other innocent countries. 2) The USA does posses nuclear weapons and allows malicious entities to have them. The result of this: Nuclear winter. 3) The USA does posses nuclear weapons and prevents malicious entities from having them. The result of this: Maybe not a nuclear winter. It seems to me that you want to cause death and destruction around the globe with your mistaken views. When some bad entity launches nukes and kills the people you love, don't come whining here and begging Uncle Sam to save you. Uncle should tell you to fuck off in this case, you got what you asked for. The problem isn't nuclear energy itself, but rather the weapons and the purposes for which they are used. Nuclear energy is beneficial and could be the solution for a future where natural resources become increasingly scarce or extinct, especially for electricity generation.
Nuclear energy provides building blocks and infrastructure to build weapons, even allowing hostile countries to pursue nuclear energy is dangerous. While it is a big distance away from nuclear weapons, it would be better if those countries are not allowed this at all. As far as electricity generation is concerned, you wrote more false information. Nuclear energy also relies on natural resources which are scarce, therefore your argument makes absolutely zero sense. In my response, I wanted to cite countries dominated by tyrants, and even if Trump is one of them, the American people still have the democratic and legally established right to remove him from power if necessary, something that countries like Iran and North Korea don't have, where any disagreement with the government leads to death. Trump is no tyrant. Just because someone is rude and mean to you, that does not make him a tyrant. If it bothers you, it makes you a weakling and a loser, that is all.

I partially disagree. It is true that global politics does not depend only on one individual. However, when the president is the leader of the world's strongest country and can use their power to do whatever they want, then it depends on that individual. Trump is a fucking retard who has made the world economy unstable for a while now. He is doing whatever he wants. Was it legal to kidnap Maduro from Venezuela? Is it legal to threaten other countries to capture that? He wants Greenland, and he does not care about international law. How do you see that actually?

Before entering politics, Trump was a businessman and a billionaire. Do you really think someone like that could be naive? I think you are the sheep, not Trump Trump initiated a trade war with China during his first term. He also maintained a hostile stance toward Iran when he withdrew US from the nuclear agreement during the 2017–2021 period It could be said that everything was planned in advance by him, but what he did not expect was to lose to Biden in the 2021 election. This forced him to postpone his plans, and what he is doing during this term is simply a continuation of those plans that were interrupted earlier.

Hey buddy, disagreeing is normal, but there's no need to get so heated. Respect is good, and I value it! I agree, but at no point did I say that nuclear energy is inexhaustible and although scarce, it can be reused/reprocessed, which, in this case, results in greater resource utilization compared to others. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6731290/https://www.orano.group/china/en/our-stories/mox-recycling-nuclear-energyhttps://world-nuclear.org/information-library/nuclear-fuel-cycle/fuel-recycling/mixed-oxide-fuel-moxI only mentioned a better use than weapons. Trump is no tyrant. Just because someone is rude and mean to you, that does not make him a tyrant. If it bothers you, it makes you a weakling and a loser, that is all.
If I were a US citizen, I would have voted for Trump (he resembles former President Bolsonaro, who did a lot for Brazil, whom I admire and who also did and said many things I disagreed with), I'm just not obligated to agree with everything he does. In fact, "tyrant" was a strong word, but the authoritarianism he demonstrated with some of his decisions puts him in a similar position, and don't take it literally, I didn't mean to offend your president, it seems you're American and voted for him, right? Or are you just an admirer? Synonyms for tyrant: abusive, arbitrary, coercive, imperious, ruthless, unjust, intolerant, uncompromising, oppressive, overbearing, repressive, rigid. You can choose which one fits him (I don't want to risk offending you again).

Trump's sovereignty in acting as if his words were the word of God is a potential threat to peace. He always engages in things we don't consider normal in pursuing peace. For example, his kidnapping of the Venezuelan president is one of the many cases that Trump has not publicly acknowledged. This also applies to your country's president. If your president doesn't comply with Trump's orders, especially if he persists in playing with China, you will be ousted and kidnapped. His propaganda in your country will be manipulated by him; this happens frequently.
This is a threat whose impact we know will be felt if Trump continues to carry out such arrogant actions against any country he wishes, as if there are no barriers to his freedom of action.

The problem with Trump's behavior can be divided into two vectors: 1. His personal psychology and belief in his own omnipotence. After all, he now controls the most powerful country (according to many indicators), and he effectively considers the country his own property. 2. The impotence of the global system of checks and balances. Trump has seen, in the wake of certain events in recent years, complete impunity for the most horrific crimes of the 21st century. And he predictably decided: if he can do it, why can't I? No one is doing anything, everyone is silent, at most voicing “concern” and offering absolutely no resistance to EVIL, even though international treaties oblige them to take active measures.

You describe Trump highly accurate as a leader which mostly his policy was heavily influenced by personal psychology and he cleverly utilizing weakness of global system which fail gave real consequences. I think in modern geopolitic, chaos can emerge from combination of those two, agressive leader and international system which not punish the agression. Trump put CEO mindset on his political movement and policy decision making, He sees everything as hierarchy and dominance and world politic is an arena not a compromise room. Since he is young he consistenly show verbal domination, proud if he can embarrass his opponent, zero sum game oriented no win win solution in his dictionary, sensitively with insult, winner obsession. All showing provocative action, confrontative communication, headline hunter and playing conflict to get attention is his comfort zone. In his age, i worried about his all in for legacy, psychology revenge to system, elite and media and his will of immortality through history. It is a risk taker and very dangerous when he see US as institution but as a toolls for his personal will. Followed by norms collapsed and the dissapears of international law enforcement, US action will create immitation, justification and decrease of fear effect. All Trump's policy bring international institution collapse faster, threat normalization and activated world self help mode.

Uncle should tell you to fuck off in this case, you got what you asked for.
Hey buddy, disagreeing is normal, but there's no need to get so heated. Respect is good, and I value it! It is nothing heated, this is what will happen. If you are unable to analyze the consequences of the things that you wish for, that is on you. I was referring to the fact that nobody should have nuclear weapons, including the United States, and I'm not defending the right of countries like Iran or North Korea to have them.
You can't prevent anyone from having nuclear weapons except by war and destruction. Furthermore, this is a completely pointless position to have that just strokes your vulnerable ego. It is like saying nobody should have paper currency. Yes and so what, it is already everywhere. The cat is out of the bag, so fuck off with ideological feel-good positions. Nuclear weapons are not going anywhere. I agree, but at no point did I say that nuclear energy is inexhaustible and although scarce, it can be reused/reprocessed, which, in this case, results in greater resource utilization compared to others.
Yes you did do exactly that, you don't even know your own arguments. Nuclear energy could be the solution for a future where natural resources become increasingly scarce or extinct, especially for electricity generation.
This directly implies that it is not scarce, which is false. Nuclear energy is not a solution for this.
You can choose which one fits him (I don't want to risk offending you again). Tyrant would be incorrect, even if words are synonymous they are often used differently. He can be ruthless, that would be the most correct from those for me. He is, and he should be. We live in a modernity of low-willed fags that have no purpose, that have no strength, that are corrupt and biased and often mentally sick. Look at what the Democrats were doing, look at the approval of leaders all around the world. Most have terrible approval and it is not because they are implementing excellent policies that are hard to understand or that are causing short-term harm for long term gain, it is because they are extremely corrupt, incompetent, and not doing a single thing to help their own people unless it benefits them too. Democrats are still stuck at redefining what a woman is, and no trans people are not women. You meant to say that since he was young, not since he is young? Trump is very old, otherwise the post is correct.

Trump has a positive role, which is that he has shown that there are no "rules" (and there never were). Now it should be clear to any leader of any country what to focus on in foreign policy - only on strength. Because Trump will take away more and more of the conditional "Greenlands" over time, even from his "allies."
Well, I just heard the Senate has passed a bill to stop Trump from imposing tariffs on Canada. It is true, then why did the Senate not stop Trump previously? We all know why. But what OP said is completely right, no matter how positive a role he had, but he is worsening many things. He is good as well as bad at the same time, depending on his work, if it benefits anyone, they will say he is fine. So far, he is focused on foreign policies, keeping their people busy with other things, and has now given them the Epstein files. Which is just the start of everything. Trump has indeed shown them who the boss is, and played many cards, and it is very surprising to see what he has done so far.

How do you see that actually?
you are absolutely right, investors need stability and predictable policies. Trump with his changing moods is the example of instability. if he doesn't like someone he may impose tariffs on the country. who conducts policy like that? it's as if the world's largest economy is being run by a mentally unstable 15-year-old. I remember many crypto investors were very glad to see him as president again but later his policy led to a market decline. and if this policy continues the decline could be even worse.

Because he's a man with no moral values and someone who can do anything for his own interests. The only thing he cares about is money and power. He wouldn't hesitate even if this leads to wars and people dying. He loves interfering in other countries' internal affairs. He makes up excuses to exploit their resources. This is actually the general policy of the United States, but while some presidents care more about democracy and human rights, he has nothing to do with such things.

The first time coming of Trump as a president was like a sheep, he was prey upon by America's and the world, and this time around, the second time as US president, he came as a beast, not to prey upon again by anyone.
However, all these strong man acting of Trump was as the result of what he experiences in his first tenure, he didn't want it to repeat again for people to take his rulership as what they could do rubbish and get away with it. Being strict and unpredictable is how he chooses to rule his government
Trump is a noise maker if after all the threats he doesn't come have the balls to want to talk to North Korea, Russia and China. Let me be frank with you, if North Korea leader was supposed to be an ordinary man that lack what it takes to go war with the way he has monopolize the country, the united state would have sent troops their and get him out just like he went to Venezuela and cook their president but he dare not step foot in North Korea, hypocrite person. The only countries he has problem with are the minor countries that doesn't have voice and can't fight alone. Look at most of the countries he has fought in the last 6 years of his regime in US, it's the same countries that can't do anything to US but if he want retaliate, he does it like he is fighting Russia or other military countries. The day he will earn my respect is if he can do same thing he did to Venezuela to North Korea since he claimed Maduros is corrupt, North Korea leader has been linked to multiple crypto money laundering, I want to see him do the same.

This thread should be moved to a political discussion thread. Judging by the description provided by the OP and the replies from other members, the core discussion is geopolitical. Just as the title suggests, please report it to the moderators so it can be moved.
Trump's influence stems from the strong support of his party, his family, and the public who support him. He even left the UN and established the BOP as a tool to build a movement. He has his own agenda, and even the parliament there can't stop him when he makes a decision.

if he were a saint he could rule according to his own will and wishes. but as we know Trump is far from a saint. Trump's tariff madness is a serious blow to the entire global economy leading to rising prices. inflation is already a serious problem and these tariffs only make it worse. JD Vance doesn't have the same influence as Trump. I think he will listen to the opinions of more reasonable Republicans. it's hard to say yet about the next president but I hope they find a worthy person in the US.
