I believe western democracies are less interested on the root of the problem and more into the harsh punishments which which make other possible offenders to reconsider their actions or thoughts.
Getting into the root of the problem is more costly for the state than just executing punishments, it requires years of research and scientific analysis and implementation of theories which deal with the psyque.

I would personally never expect to see a third for country going for the root of the problem instead executing rapists.

There should never be any reasons enough to justify such an act, first of all, that’s an inhuman act and the punishment should never be lightly on the offender. Abusing an adult alone has grievous consequences, let alone minors, this should be considered the height of it, and the punishment should be 10 times worse. The reason for this is that no one compels anyone to go into such acts as it’s nothing but a deliberate offence.

The government should establish laws that will fight against children abusers so they can limit how they treat little children especially the female ones. Adult are being abused including children and the only way this would stop is when their are available human right laws that are on stand by to help children against their abusers.

It has never been an issue of an absence of laws. There's already a strong law that protects the young ones in the case that they are being abused. The greater concern should be on how to prevent it from happening in the first place because prevention is always better than cure and this is where parents role in prevention comes into play.

There are adults that have chosen to be promiscuous and regardless of how weighty the law is, they will remain the way they are. It's now inherent on parents to ensure that they protect their wards in any way possible knowing that the younger ones don't have what it takes to protect themselves.

Right, no child deserves to be abused in a way that it can cause them trauma because that can be harmful to them as they grow older, as some children will may develop unhealthy and confusing feelings about serial behaviour even at a very young age while others may develop fear because of what they experienced. Though, some of these problems are may caused by their parents, some parents forget that their children are human beings who deserve love and care, and this can create a relationship in which their children feel comfortable telling them about everything including challenges they may face outside the home, this can be helpful as they can help them to protect themselves when they are outside.

The things you said really hurt me. It hurts to think that you had to go through such a terrible trauma at such a young age, but after all these years, you have the courage to tell your bitter experiences here. You were young then, you did not understand what was happening to you, and you did not have the courage to tell your parents about it when you felt like scolding them. I think it was not your fault here, it was entirely the fault of that mentally disturbed neighbor woman.
I am in a profession where you have to interact with people every day, so I see very closely how important it is for a child to be friendly with his parents for healthy mental development. It is the responsibility of the parents to create a safe environment where children can tell their parents everything they are expressing. Perhaps many parents will become aware after reading your writing and try to make their relationship with their children easier.

We dont talk much about the mental effect of child abuse. Thinking everything ends when the molester is caught and sent to jail. No, it doesn't end there. Of course, the child will never forget what has happened till he becomes an adult. Remembering those memories as an adult wont make him feel traumatized anymore, but rather be happy about what happened back then. While some of them end up hating the other gender when they grow up. It feels like payback time to them.

I agree that catching and punishing abuser is only part of just dealing with child abuse, and people who get molested those children have to struggle with trust, relationships and anger as they grow older. I disagree with idea that adults who remember abuse will eventually feel happy about it. People respond differently to different things and some may recover with time while others continue to experience serious emotional difficulties. That's why these types of kids need emotional support and safe environment and sometime they also need professional help.

Punishment for these abuses does exist but unfortunately, in today's society, we live are not applied properly and these abusers do not get punishment they deserve. That's why other get courage to do exact same thing. If laws are applied properly and every abuser gets punished at the right time, that may discourage this thing and somehow reduce child abuse.

This act is a very shameful one and if the culprit who did this useless act was here with me I would have punched the sense out of him. He is a criminal who should be treated as one. Things like this are very common everywhere, to your greatest surprise, you can find more pedophile in the western world, anyways I’m not trying to create an argument about situations that are such a disgraceful thing to happen, I believe there are laws that are guiding sexual abuse on minors or Children, in every working country where the law is enforced, and someone is caught in such an act of sexual harassment on Children, is a punishable offense in the court of law as long as I understand what you’re talking about.

However that would bring me to condemn such an act, I don’t know what I would say about people who sexually assault and abuse children, I don’t know how they enjoy having sex with a child, when there are adults who they can actually have such things with, which is why I would draw a conclusion that this behavior is evil, I see it as a mental illness, people who do such things should be castrated, there are so many pedophile in the World, but only someone that is caught that we can say is a pedophile.

I think there are places in Africa that the religion would allow them to get married to young girls that haven’t come of 18+, and this things I see happening are ridiculous, they’re the once that should be castrated and sent to prison to send the rest of their lifetime there.

Some parents don't listen to there children when they report sensitive matters and it's a problem. Isn't it the responsibility of the father or mother to ensure that the child is okay? Listen, advice and direct the child always? So when a child reports abuse, and the parents don't pay attention, and the child suffers as a victim, shouldn't the parents be also punished? I think they should. Our parents have a case to answer about it, because there is no way the child wouldn't want to talk to you as a mother, unless you aren't open and friendly to your won child, which is bad parenting.

Secondly, our government, they have a lot to do. They have laws, but they don't keep to the laws, instead they find a way around it. If our government can keep to the laws, or even make harder laws and when culprits are apprehended, and they face the law, then it will help to curb such society ills..

What is really the cause of this abuse on children?

Because the mystery behind why an adult is trying to rape a teenager is very terrible, because a healthy normal person cannot do such a thing. However, a mentally ill person cannot do such a heinous act like torturing a child, there are some people who are animals in human form, they are the ones who do such a heinous act like child rape.
However, I blame the law of the country the most for such a problem, because if the legal situation of the country was in favor of justice, then such a heinous act would definitely not have happened. Due to the weakness of the law, such a heinous act happens, which is one of the worst incidents in this world, child rape.

I see it as those who have sexual abuse on minors are sick in the brain, they are not with their senses cause how on earth will someone get attracted to a minor whose body physique is at its development stage, not fully developed to arouse someone to think of having a sexual intercourse with a child. That's pathetic to think of.

Well, the stance of my country's government(Nigeria) on the sexual abuse of children is life imprisonment for defilement. For the rape of children, it is a minimum of 10 years imprisonment. This is according to the Child Rights Act of 2003.

I agree that sexual abuse of children is a very serious crime and there should be proper investigation and accountability for that . It is the responsibility of the adults to protect children rather than exploit their vulnerability. Society should stop treating this as the issue of someone being sick in the brain. There should be strong laws. But only having strong laws is not enough to eliminate the abuse. Children also need safe environment where they can speak up without having fear of others and teachers should also train kids to recognise different abuses. They should teach them warning signs and other safety measures and there should be punishment for the people who do these crimes.

I think most times spiritual aspect can be involve mostly when people believe that certain curses or family patterns has move from one generation to the other. Cases of sexual assault are being heard a lot these days which is affecting everyone and it is forcing everyone to think that these incidents are increasing day by day although this thing should be controlled so that the lives of innocent girls can be saved.
