I once read in a forum, I don't know which thread I wrote that someone had a heart disease, and the disease relapsed until he died after getting a big win, I remember reading it here exactly, and it is one of the physical defects that can cause someone to lose their life, for a normal level of addiction but when you have a disease that is physically easily triggered in an emotional outburst or happy can cause someone to be killed, blood, high and heart, or maybe there are others too?
Yeah I’ve come across that thread here too about a gambler who collapsed as a result of a heart attack after hitting a big win. This is very normal because people will some severe heart disease are advised to stay completely away from any activity that’ll startle them. Sometimes can good news can come as serious shock which can increase the blood pressure and affect the heart.
Over excitement can also be a very terrible thing to deal with as a gambler, lack of emotional control in general can be dangerous. personally I feel like gambling shouldn't be able to control your mood because if it does then it means that you are not gambling the right way. being too excited after winning can lead to lots of mistakes, some gamblers even end up losing everything

Review what protective measures you can take to reduce the risk of excessive gambling. You should stop gambling at any point in time, whether you are winning or losing, to reduce the risk of excessive losses. This means that you should stop gambling during periods of loss to avoid further losses. You should also stop when you are winning because the temptation to win more increases the likelihood of losing the next time.
Yes, of course, to reduce the risk of excessive gambling, we must stop gambling regularly. If we gamble regularly and spend a lot of money on gambling, then we can become addicted to gambling very quickly because we should never expect to earn money by gambling and should never use excessive money for gambling. Those who have used excessive money in the past and considered gambling as a means of earning money, but they have become addicted to gambling very quickly, so whatever do, a gambler must be careful about all this.

I believe gambling addiction is a silent killer. There are no symptoms; you may see a healthy person, but deep within, they are suffering from depression and physical disabilities. They may look happy outside, but deep inside, they are lonely and helpless.
We know some addiction symptoms such as spending too much time in gambling, has no ability to stop it (even a day), being easily angry after losses, and some other else. These are some symptoms which are quite visible from the addicts. When someone is suffering a depression, it is also a part of the symptoms. So, we actually can investigate the signs of addiction although it should be checked to the doctors or specialist for a clearer result.

What makes it a silent killer they starts unnoticed until it's accumulated over the years, and all the symptoms appear after so many years of concealing it.
For the addicts, they may be unaware of the symptoms. Yes, it can be called a silent killer if we view it from the side of the addicts. That's why we must be careful and be more sensitive with any change of our habits.

There are many "silent killers" in our lives, and I don't think gambling is the main one. Poverty, a low starting point in life, and hopelessness often kill faster, harder, and more quietly than gambling. Ultimately, gambling addiction doesn't just appear out of nowhere. It always has a basis. Gamblers don't just want to get rich quick. They often see gambling as their only chance to rise in life and live their best life. Of course, most of these strategies and intentions are misguided and lead nowhere.

You are right, poverty remains the most silent and the fastest killer of man in all aways of life and is something we shouldn't even wish it should happen to even our worst enemy. However their is something I have observed over time in real life is that you rarely see a self made man as in a wealthy person becoming more addicted especially to gambling,  that is because they have already gotten the required funds that would have initially push them to the persistent gambling we are talking about, and for any reason if they decide to game then it's certainly for fun and nothing more.

Moreover, someone that is doing better should be properly busy with his work or business and literally have little or no time to gamble. Therefore , I aggry with you that poverty is the major cause of gamble addiction and if you must defeat addiction by any means then you must first defeat poverty.

We have a choice though, if we wanted to get involved in gambling and ruining our lives. As compare to poverty, as it could have been no choice when we are born poor and it's going to be very hard to move out of it.

So yes, gambling might be a silent killer in our society. There are countless lives that have been rekt because of it, families separated and worst literally, someone going to the extend of taking their lives because they can't take it anymore as they could have piled up a lot of debts and can't pay and the only solution to stop it is to take their lives.

What makes it a silent killer they starts unnoticed until it's accumulated over the years, and all the symptoms appear after so many years of concealing it.

I have read reports of physically healthy people, but once they start gambling, no one notices the changes in their appearance until they suffer from a heart attack and manic depression.

What are the other symptoms that you can think of that will make gambling addiction a silent killer? Let's explore this so we can inform.

I heard a psychic doctor saying something that stuck with me. "An addict is only pretending, that he fights his addiction." For some reason this is true. Some addicts are saying "I'm struggling, I will overcome this, I can get thru this, etc." and yet they eventually surrender to their addictions and die. Most addicts are neglecting their physical health and this is what kills them in the long run. They start drinking and doing drugs, eating junk food and not working out. This causes high blood pressure and liver problems, which eventually leads to the person having to seek medical help.

It doesn't matter if it's gambling or any other thing, addiction is not Good. Addiction means doing something just to calm your nerves to do it, not with a strategy, not with purpose, not with planning. Getting addicted to anything can cause significant health issues whether that be mentally or physically.

But as far as the concern with Health related to gambling, I believe it is because of the stress and anxiety of losing large sums of money one is not able to afford to lose. There is a lesson for us in cases like these, and that is not gambling or If gambling by any chance doing it with proper risk management.

it was before people are committing suicide because of what they have lost in gambling, but they are awareness in gambling right now will they make people to value their life more than giving off or committing suicide because of they have lost in gambling, that time people believe that gambling is the shortest way to make money but I understand from my own experience and gambling is not the shortest way to make money and if anyone understand it that way you will not make a mistake.

This life is full with different kind of mindset when to come gambling aspect, there are set of gamblers that only have gambling as they major source of income and which their life of value reduces by the people leaving around them, because noticed the addiction of such gamblers, using any available money with their reach for gambling at such you can trust money with such gamblers because what comes to his mind is to stake huge amount and become rich overnight and it is similar to all gamblers that is addicted, and if probably there is no chance of getting to gambling, with the addiction he can sell assets all off his assets just gambling believe that is going to win that particular gambling, and what reduce or kill gamblers silently is the process of making gambling the only source of income in life without thinking other means of income, so you addiction to gambling can result to anything in future.

You are right, in fact, when someone makes gambling their source of income, they sow the seeds of great losses. Gambling becomes an income source or a means of becoming rich when a person loses control over himself. When he makes a little more profit, he feels a lot of enjoyment and when he loses, he feels bad for a long time and thinks when he will make a lot more profit than his loss. Due to this kind of thinking, at one time they want to profit from gambling and always use it as a money-making machine. The consequences can be very terrible. Many people have become so addicted to gambling that they have made it their source of income and have faced great financial losses. We should always keep ourselves in control. Do not get involved in big risks influenced by our emotions. Remember that gambling will never work as your source of income. On the contrary, if you are addicted, it can destroy your income and wealth.

Being poor and hopeless is one of the worst things that can happen to anyone in this life. It's better if the person is poor and still has hope of making it in the near future than if they have given up entirely because they don't believe in themselves. The first attack will come with them seeing themselves as those whose nature is after them and easily break down. Such a type of person doesn't need drugs or gambling to completely get down, as they are always at their lowest moment.

The first attack will come with them seeing themselves as those whose nature is after them and easily break down. Such a type of person doesn't need drugs or gambling to completely get down, as they are always at their lowest moment.

You just nailed it, hopelessness is a venom that destroys just too quickly. Of course, some one might now have but his hope hangs on something that will keep him alive, with this, they can still try to leave a normal life because there hope is built on something. The worst is not having hope on anything. And in this case, some people turn there attention to gambling, thinking it will make it easier and better for them, and after two or threw or more attempts, if it doesn't yield good results, they try to push more harder.  Im some such case, some people become addicted to gambling thinking it's there only escape route, but sooner or later, they find out it is another dead trap. Gambling addiction is a silent killer

I believe gambling addiction is a silent killer. There are no symptoms; you may see a healthy person, but deep within, they are suffering from depression and physical disabilities. They may look happy outside, but deep inside, they are lonely and helpless.

When it comes with the gambling you cant show this into the persons physical appearance because its into their mental and emotional state which you can easily observe when it comes there's a sudden changes how they will treat other people and how they communicate with them such as they can easily get anger, out of focus because they are still thinking about playing gambling, wanted to get alone because they dont want let other people knew that they were already addicted. For me this is the reason why do always check those people if they are still okay because sometimes if that stress wins against them for sure this could lead something worst into their life.

It's the person that can chose or decide to be hopeless because from when I learned, it's only a dead person that doesn't have hope bit as long as the person is still alive they have hope but that is if they have agreed to study and improve themselves so that when ever any opportunity comes up, they can cease it since they have got such skill. But if the person naturally sees themselves as hopeless, then they are the one destroying themselves, not gambling.

Addiction is not a good thing at all and it an inappropriate behavior we should even think of involving ourselves. No matter what the activity might be that we might be addicted to it is very bad and we know how people struggle with their health when it comes to addiction.

Addiction is something we get ourselves involve to constantly and we either do it for pleasure or  satisfaction either gambling, drugs or any form of addiction which will eventually leads to negativity. Gambling addiction is a top addiction that deals with our finance and mess with our emotions, feelings and anxiety because we know gambling is often about luck and having higher expectations of success or higher returns from gambling will lead to more losses.

We have a choice though, if we wanted to get involved in gambling and ruining our lives. As compare to poverty, as it could have been no choice when we are born poor and it's going to be very hard to move out of it.

So yes, gambling might be a silent killer in our society. There are countless lives that have been rekt because of it, families separated and worst literally, someone going to the extend of taking their lives because they can't take it anymore as they could have piled up a lot of debts and can't pay and the only solution to stop it is to take their lives.
it was before people are committing suicide because of what they have lost in gambling, but they are awareness in gambling right now will they make people to value their life more than giving off or committing suicide because of they have lost in gambling, that time people believe that gambling is the shortest way to make money but I understand from my own experience and gambling is not the shortest way to make money and if anyone understand it that way you will not make a mistake.

Now everyone is much more cautious about gambling than before. However, a person who gambles and becomes in debt and when their debt becomes very high, they have no choice but to commit suicide. An elder brother in my neighborhood was addicted to gambling and drugs. He had a business and his business was doing very well but he became addicted to gambling and drugs. He got into a lot of debt while gambling and he could not repay the debt by selling his business. When he could not repay his debt in any way, he committed suicide. Gambling should never be considered an addiction. When a person considers gambling as a source of income or becomes addicted to gambling, then it can be a very bad time for him.

Gambling addiction may be a silent killer indeed, not necessarily a physical killer, but the financially ruined, emotionally stressed and destroyed relationships. Although poverty and hopelessness can drive one into gambling, it can make a bad situation to a worse one. Nowadays, people are more aware than ever, but knowledge is not enough to combat addiction, as panic and the desire to recoup losses may blind a person. Most individuals engage in gambling assuming that it is a quick way of achieving success, yet experience proves to be otherwise. Gambling must in no way be viewed as a source of income, but as mere entertainment with strict restrictions or it will ruin lives without much notice and in a very short time.

I think the description of a silent killer is incredibly accurate. After all, if a gambler has serious addiction problems, they'll initially remain silent about it, hiding their problems. But when their patience bubble bursts—such gamblers quickly run out of money—they'll begin to test their voice, but these will be requests for more money. And that's when the real trouble begins, because they're no longer the same person they once were, kind and sincere, but now they're a completely different person, someone who wants money at the cost of destroying any relationship, even with their closest friends and family.
And that's terrifying.

I'd also add the interpretation that alcohol and drug addiction are loud. After all, drunks and drug addicts are loud and rowdy, while uncontrollable gambling is a quiet addiction, where a person behaves calmly and quietly, seemingly normal, but their thoughts revolve around selling their property, getting into debt, and creating a thousand problems for themselves, which they won't be able to get out of on their own.
And this is sad, because their loved ones and family also suffer because of it, and that's why many psychologists rightly say that gamblers of this kind shouldn't be helped, as they won't appreciate it.

Addicted gamblers always conceal that part of them until they can no more fund their bet again and begin to borrow or steal to bet, or even sell their belongings to bet.
At this point things has spoiled beyond repair and it takes only the grace of God to revive such person, furthermore when a gambler start chasing his endless lost that's definitely not working out and has reached to the level of started selling off his belongings just to fix up his gambling activities then the surposed gambler needs help because it isn't funny at all.

Their was this cousin of mine that was having similar issues of chronic gambling addiction, so to speak his own was something beyond imagination because if not for the invention of us being is brother he would have sold off his birth right ( inherited land giving to him) just to chase the so call cloud he called sure game. Gambling addiction is deadly and very harmful to humanity so it advisable we gamble moderately so as to stay safe from it wrath.
