Drugs and gambling addiction can kill easy more than anything in this life, being addicted to drugs can make you loose your family, it can ruin your life, your health, finances,and relationship with people, most broken homes, is as a result of drugs and gambling addiction, because no woman on this Earth wants to marry a liability, I know some friends that can't stay a day or two days with out smoking, and this alone affect their sense of reasoning, to gamble is not bad but gamble wisely don't be too addicted to gambling or drugs, because it will will do you no good.

I believe the effects of drugs and gambling are similar, meaning they can lead to several physical and non-physical problems, as the OP mentioned. However, the damage caused by drugs is rapid, and the effects are immediately felt. Gambling (and I mean gambling addiction) requires a process, meaning it develops slowly or gradually, and then the signs or symptoms begin to appear and even be felt. Therefore, I often remind everyone to be able to control themselves wisely in anything they do, especially when it comes to gambling. Don't gamble beyond your means; only gamble with what you can afford. Gambling will be more comfortable, calming, and enjoyable that way than gambling blindly (irresponsibly).

The most funny part of is that those people that are addicted to gambling and drugs often marry a responsible woman which I have seen many of them in my area and they would even be the ones that would be beging them to quit, yet they won't listen to their advice until they end up losing their future wife. Don't you guys think the way we project this addiction is awkward. I have seen drugs destroyed life of humans turn to nothing but I haven't seen a gambler that is looking sick and exhausted all their life. When I say exhausted I mean give up completely about their life, they don't even think well because it's even difficult to see a person that is a drug addict that looks good, their mode of dressing at bad, they don't eat well and their face and body always looks dry.

However, you can see an addicted gambler that still looks good and responsible, they may be suffering from one or two gambling addiction but you will not see them looking all that ugly and bad. Even a rich person can be addicted to gambling and they don't look all like there is nothing they can't do to improve their life. Their main problem is how to break out of that addiction chain and it's even easier to break away from gambling addiction than you can from drugs addiction.

It truly is better to be a gambling addict than a drug addict. Not that I am encouraging anyone to be a gambling addict. If we can avoid both, then it's better.

I totally agree with everything you said, and I believe there's a greater chance for a gambling addict to recover and still have a healthy body afterwards than those who abused drugs. It's killing them slowly, and it's a chemical that is entering the body, unlike gambling, which is all just mental.
In drug addiction, one must recover both mind and body, while gambling addiction just needs something to divert their attention. A new hobby or a new pastime will probably help them get their mind off gambling, and they will forget about it, but that can never happen with drugs. I agree with drugs in the sense that, it’s a substance you take into your body and when it’s there, it’s either you have a means to neutralize it or it would definitely work on your neuropathy and next thing you know, you’re gone.

False. A single gambling session can ruin a person's life because the amount of money you can lose is much greater. You cannot consume $1 million worth of cocaine, heroin or any other drug you want in one night, far from that. But you can lose $1 million in a single night. You can lose your life savings and even get into debt with quick loans and lose everything in no time.

if you think about it critically a single gambling session can ruin a person's life, it all depends the amount of money that's used. I know someone who isn't a gambler but due to the need he had for money he decided to take a huge risk  because he hoped to make a lot of profit, he lost more than 500 dollars and this was his first attempt, he was convinced because he joined a telegram channel where they post wins of games that were predicted and he was sure about making a huge profit but I'm unfortunately he ended up losing everything.

Those gamblers that normally gamble to get rich overnight are the ones that don't value their life because obviously your dreaming big can never guarantee you winnings in gambling which a responsible gambler is meant to know. That’s what my friend used to say. At first he would occasionally smoke weed, then it gradually turned into a kind of habit. What I kept hearing from him all the time was that he could control it and could easily quit whenever he wanted, he just didn’t want to. Eventually, it all developed into him smoking every day, sometimes several times a day, even from early morning, because according to him, it made it easier for him to work. But at that point it becomes clear that this is more about addiction. And I agree that there are no safe drugs, and that responsible drug use does not really exist either.

The dual dependency is a crippling ordeal economically and psychologically that is a great challenge that requires extreme patience on the part of all the involved.
