The number of drugs addicted young boys, young girls and it has extended to old man and women, is not to compare to being addicted in gambling, drugs is the major source that is growing in the mind of young boys and girls that has destroyed almost of them that doesn't have the chance to rehabilitated by misleading them by committing crimes in the society and with the influence of drugs those that has not been into gambling before will finally begin to gambling, it is not good be drugs addict or gambling addiction too and i equally believe that those gamblers that are not in the influence of drugs will still control themselves of not being so addicted in such way that they will become the problem to their country.

It seems you’re undermining the effect of gambling addiction. Just like gambling addiction, even drug addiction is 100% curable with professional help too. Sometimes ago, I saw a news posted on the forum here on this board where a man who was supposedly addicted allegedly resorted to kidnapping his own granddaughter and demanded for ransom, just so he can continue to fuel his addiction. I’ve also read a news where someone who’s an addict resorted to taking his own life, simply because he ended up gambling away money he borrowed from a friend for a project due to his addiction. So gambling addiction is just as dangerous as drug addiction mate.

Logically right the amount might not be the same but the damages if ever that a person already deep in terms of involvement to gambling, even they are capable to risk such amount but once addiction triggered it can ruined a life, both drugs and gambling can lead a person to addiction which difficult to remove if that kind of a system already dominate inside, either make a hard stop on your own if you are still capable or seek help from the professionalif even how hard you try and still unable to successfully remove it from your system.

For some people it's one hour and $100, and it can be $1 and 20 minutes for others. Gambling can destroy someone's life, but it's not that hard to prevent it. I might well agree with you on many of the things you have written, but where I come from, gambling is regulated by the state but all drugs are banned. Do you know why? Because the cost of treating a drug addict is vastly greater than that of helping someone overcome a gambling addiction. Sure you are mostly right, but then I do not even think that those who are addicts even think, they just act and that is why many of them tend to make mistakes that may very well have both shirt term and even long term effects... I guess that huge stake is also what they can afford to risk. That’s not advice for average gambler to compare themselves to that of rich gamblers, due to fact that they are using huge stake , you want to try to go beyond budget thinking the rich are going beyond theirs , you are only gonna mess yourself up . I just need to look at the stories of those who've gone through these difficult paths, and I immediately understand that it's best not to repeat them, because they're filled with grief and pain, both personal and inflicted on close relatives. These stories are terrible, and I sometimes rewatch interviews with various heroes to refresh my memory of the bad things that happen. I don't allow gambling to take over a large part of my life because I understand that if I spend too much time playing, I could easily become addicted, so I strictly limit myself and don't give myself the chance to tilt.

It is possible to recover from any bad habit in the world if one believes in its bad effects and releases the things that happened to him and tries to recover from that bad habit himself. People are very emotional so to give up anything, one must get something new and there he has to work more than his emotions then he will forget the previous thing. This can be the best way to give up a bad habit. And the second way is to spend time in rehab, and if you can keep yourself away from that habit for a long time, its illusion will be broken.

If you search for the following: number of people addicted to gambling, number of people addicted to drugs, you will see that the number of people addicted to drugs will be much higher, and what is most worrying is that you will see rich people, famous people, politicians, and government officials who are addicted to drugs. But you will hardly see a large number of rich people, famous people, politicians, and government officials being addicted to gambling. This shows how gambling does not easily make people addicted; these are small cases when compared to other addictions. Gambling is less destructive when compared to drugs and alcohol.

Both drug addicts and gamblers are very harmful and life-destroying. I am not looking down on anyone here. Just as a drug addict poses a great danger to his family, a gambler also poses a great danger to himself and his family. But I will say one thing that all types of addictions can be created by drug addicts. So I always want to make the young generation aware to stay free from this addiction. Drug addiction is fast growing than gambling and very deadly is when a person is trapped in the two addictions there is no escape means except by some divine power intervention. 

Casual form of help cannot save the victim except for an intensive care with the patient under 24/7 watch in a contained environment.

You guys may wish to have a gambling addict rather than a drug addiction but I do not wish for any, there is no assurance that the gambling addiction can be restored and be reinstated.

I myself don’t really know what the benefits are of using drugs, but from some people who’ve tried them, I’ve heard that it makes them feel calm though I don’t think that lasts long, because true peace of mind comes from having a truly comfortable life. Gambling is more or less the same, but the difference is the chance to make a profit. And by “short-sighted thinking,” I mean: don’t they think about the future? For example, with drugs even though they bring calm, it doesn’t last long, and they don’t consider what the future will look like once they’re addicted. We need to think long-term about the consequences of our actions.

You are right because both drugs and gambling are addictive in their different ways, so a person who is addicted to drugs and also at the same time addicted to gambling is really in a double and big problem because he will have to find a way to free himself from maybe the drug addiction first, then before he starts seeking help on how to get free from gambling addiction..

Although I've meet a couple of persons who believe that one man can never be addicted to two different things at a time, but each time I try to think about this, experiences ive heard from people's stories proves otherwise..
So I would say that serious gamblers stay away from drugs because this can be the amplifier they need to move away from responsible gambling into the world of irresponsible gambling.
