It is possible to recover from any bad habit in the world if one believes in its bad effects and releases the things that happened to him and tries to recover from that bad habit himself. People are very emotional so to give up anything, one must get something new and there he has to work more than his emotions then he will forget the previous thing. This can be the best way to give up a bad habit. And the second way is to spend time in rehab, and if you can keep yourself away from that habit for a long time, its illusion will be broken.

I like that approach because it reflects reality. You talk about people's habits, and it's very true that many find it hard to break bad habits. They know they're harmful, but they don't quit. Human beings are truly a complex issue because logic dictates, "If something makes you feel bad, don't do it." Even so, they can't break the addiction, It's difficult they need a lot of help, and their emotions have played a trick on them. In the end, it's the individual's responsibility, It should be that just as easily as they got into it, they should be able to get out, but it's difficult and hard to do.

on the other hand gambling destroys a person slowly, it starts with fun then turns into loss, at one point everything goes out of control, after losing money debts begin, lies increase, relationships break, mental stress and depression grow, self respect is lost, the most dangerous part of gambling is that a person does not even realize when they have entered the path of destruction, so it can be said that drugs take life quickly while gambling slowly takes away the whole life...

This often happens when people give up on life in general, at some point in time they bury their head in an addiction (or multiple) and decide that is what they will spend a lot of their time & money on. The trouble with an addiction like gambling is it can really mess with your mind, if you try to think about how much you spent on betting and how you'll quit if you just make it all back - you're never going to be free. If you decide you've got a problem and you're going to face it down, then you have to let the past go and everything spent on it to that point. It doesn't matter what you spent on it, you need to consider that an expensive lesson and avoid ever doing it again. If you cannot stick to casual, irregular, drinking or gambling, then you should probably stay away from it altogether.

As soon as you combined these 2 vices ...it's kinda over for your money , mental health and health in general and it's a bottomless pit that only a few will manage to climb back from it. So my advice , never combine drugs and gambling or 2-3 big vices in general. I've saw to many documents about this and there is no happy ending no matter how rich and how powerful your body and mind are.

Gambling and drugs are two different things, but both can destroy a person's life.

So my advice , never combine drugs and gambling or 2-3 big vices in general. I've saw to many documents about this and there is no happy ending no matter how rich and how powerful your body and mind are. 

This is insane and you know it. How can we come up with this kind of vices. I can't even wish that for my enemies because been a drug addict and also a gambler, that's the worst thing that can ever happen to a man. That means it's over for you. This vices persuaded one to be subjected to debts and ruins a man's life.

We should try our possible best to fight about this because its never easy once one is been captured by any of them. Coming out is no easy task if I'm to remind you. So the goal is to stay solid and upright in everything good because this world is a cruel place to lived in.

You are definitely right, when trying to compare the effects of Drug addiction to that of gambling to  an individual the  damage done to the human body by drugs is much because, drugs do not only affect the your mental health but, also damage and cause serious health related problems to the body. In essence drugs is dangerous to the human health and should not be seen as something that should even be tried by anyone because of the potential health risk it possess.



Combining drugs and Gambling means that such a person has opened himself up for disaster, because the combination of the two always gives birth to self destruction.

Gambling comes with a lesser risk compare to drug. Although both can be addicted but drug addiction come easily than when compare to gambling addict. Slight difference in the two are as follows

Odunybiz you are correct about your comparison between gambling and drugs but you didn't look at how they both can be found in one person at the addicted level. Under such combo, even when winning happens it easily trigger the counterpart drugs and that's if womanizing is not attached. Gambling and or drugs are destructive combo..

When faced with drug addiction, the addict cannot quit alone. This is because when they decide that today they will not use drugs, they receive a message from friends, go to meet their friends, and see them using drugs. They cannot resist seeing the drugs and also use them, thus breaking the promise they made to themselves to stop the drug addiction. They will feel guilty for a few hours for breaking the promise.

But then they will forget about it and continue in the world of drugs. The only way to cure them will be in the hands of the family, who will have to have the courage to forcibly take them and place them in isolation in a drug rehabilitation clinic for years, without contact with the outside world and only receiving visits on specific days.

I agree. 2 super expensive vices, and it will probably make a person homeless after just a month or two. That's why it's not a good combination. It's already in our pockets, just having one of those vices. Drugs can easily make a person a drug addict in just a few tries. Gambling can also make a person become a gambling addict in just a week or more. These two problems are well-known to make a person change their lives. From being wealthy to poor, from having a good relationship with the family to being left alone, and from being a healthy person to becoming a dirty homeless person in the street.

Both addictions are dangerous and combined together makes it worse than anything else that can make someone go from being stable financially and mentally to a homeless sick person. The world today is very different than the past in terms of having access to these two types of addiction.

For anyone who thinks it’s easy to quit or only dumb people who can fall into this trap, I would suggest that you think again and search well about this. So many smart and wealthy individuals failed to keep themselves away from falling into these bad habits.

Comparing between gambling and drugs, I would say that gambling can be easier than drugs when a person doesn’t have much money to lose in first place, while drugs are less expensive than gambling 100$ daily. In the other hand, it will be very difficult for someone who has access to bigger amounts and can lose millions in short time, which leads to drug use and in many cases both leading to very short road to life destruction.
