Football is truly a game that can go either way. Even though Coritiba is a strong team, they're were away to Flamingo and that Red card put them in a very bad spot too because Flamingo just offloaded their offense with their extra man and scored more to win it.

Flamengo defeated Coritiba 3-0 at home to secure three points. Flamengo is hot on the heels of Palmeiras, with a four-point gap currently separating the two teams. Samuel Lino was undoubtedly the man of the match. With two goals and one assist, Lino played a major role in Flamengo’s victory.
Atletico Paranaense managed to defeat Mirassol FC at home with a single goal. Paranaense scored the goal in the final minutes through Kevin Viveros, raising their points total to 30 with a game in hand.

Looking at how Flamengo has been performing this season, it's very difficult to believe they're truly interested in fighting for the title. It seems more like they're focused on international competitions. I say this because in the Libertadores Cup they've played 5 games and haven't lost a single one. The worst-case scenario was only one draw. Meanwhile, in the Brasileirão (Brazilian Championship) they're very relaxed. Their next game is against Curitiba, a strong opponent who are on a 3-game unbeaten streak. Therefore, I wouldn't be surprised to see Flamengo draw against Curitiba.

Performing to professional standard is desired. Teams which want to win titles show their skills to opponents. They are consistently good at getting points when the game looks lost. Look at Flamengo, the players should score goals and win hard fought games if they are interested in fighting for the title. If the players do not care about the table the fans should support a different team.

Palmeiras won 3-0 against flamengo. Lopez scored the first goal in the 38th minute . Allan doubled it in the 57th and Paulinho scored the third in the added time of 2nd half 90+5' . Bahia managed to win the match thanks to goals scored in the second half, having gone into the break trailing. Making the most of their opponents being reduced to 10 men, Bahia also ended their six-match winless run. Botafogo might have picked up a point from the match had they not been reduced to 10 men.
Gremio lost to Corinthians at home. Despite playing away, Corinthians put in a performance as though they were playing at home and were certainly the side deserving of the three points.

There are some things that are unbelievable to see in professional football. Today (my country's time) there was a game between Santos and Vitória, a game that Santos won convincingly. They scored 3 goals and conceded only 1. Up to this point, everything would be fine, and the Santos players could be highly praised, but in this game something unbelievable happened, I mean truly unbelievable

being a high-level league game in Brazil with fans of all ages watching, with live broadcasts in various parts of the world (online, on TV), and we all know that nowadays stadiums have cameras at every angle, there's VAR, but even so, Gabigol was the only one who didn't realize this and grabbed his genitals, which caused VAR to give him a red card. Something unnecessary on Gabigol's part.

This year, the Brazilian league title seems to be contested between Flamengo and Palmeiras. Paranaense, Fluminense, and Bragantino are also close to the top in points, but I think Paranaense and Bragantino will drop down the table.
Perhaps Fluminense could challenge for the top spot if they find their form.
Although Palmeiras suffered their only defeat against Vasco da Gama, they lost 6 points in the last 4 weeks, giving Flamengo the opportunity to close the gap in points.
I'm curious to see how the league will unfold after the World Cup break. We might see a very competitive Flamengo-Palmeiras battle, similar to last year.

What a tense game that was for Palmeiras. I say tense for me because I bet on Palmeiras to win, the odds were @1.33 if Palmeiras won, and I decided to put Palmeiras on my parlay bet. I was convinced it would be an easy game for Palmeiras, but I didn't imagine that at 42 minutes, Palmeiras player Allan would receive a red card.

I was shocked, all that came to my mind was: "It's over, my bet is ruined." So I stopped following the game until an hour later when I checked the score and, to my surprise, Palmeiras won even with only 10 players. Palmeiras and all its players deserve congratulations. They didn't disappoint me.

At least I profited from this game. I plan to continue betting on more Brasileirão games, although I still see that it won't be an easy task to get it right.
