The problem is management, debt, and terrible signings that ultimately impact the sporting side of the Corinthians machine. They can switch managers endless times and the problems will still keep happening. The only solution is to clean up the club and manage it with a long-term mindset, just like Flamengo did in the last decade. They put up with a bad squad, consistently stuck in mid-table, all to wipe out their debts. Once things stabilized and they got the club organized, they started spending again and now they're reaping the rewards. Bottom line, that's what it comes down to: management.
I agree... the core of the problem is structural and financial, but I think the problem is not just management, there are many sporting and planning failures too, poor squad choices, anyway...
I think at least they got it right by start to changes with coach replacement, many changes start there and that alone should already help improve the players’ mood. About spending less... are not they already doing that? This year they have already prioritized free agents or loans because they did not have much money, so the problem is not "buying badly", it is not being able to sell well, renew contracts properly, plan cycles... they need to replace the top board and let the coach do his job.
If it does not work out... let them go to the second division, spend less, restructure and come back stronger.
I think Internacional needs this too. Its sad!!!
Looks like Corinthians botched another hire, this time with the manager. They brought in Clarence Seedorf, a 'manager' who hasn't managed a club in seven years, haha. It's absolute insanity what these directors are doing. The club is winless in nine games and they go and sign a foreigner who hasn't coached anyone in almost a decade. Yeah, this has 'success' written all over it. It's unbelievable how completely reckless these executives are.
