Suspected 700 XMR Scam by Swapter

If you were in contact with the user, do you think he would have come here to complain? This thread only highlights how bad your service is. Please resolve the client's issue as soon as possible. If you can't swap the funds, then refund his XMR as soon as possible. What is so hard about that?

I suggest you add a comment on their profile at kycnot.me. Hopefully their rating drops further.

So that means Swapter is lying when they say they are in contact with you?
This is a typical behavior from a scammer, especially since this incident happened around two months ago.
I suggest creating flag against them in forum if they don't start recovery procedure soon.

They are not in contact with me.  I still haven't received any mail.
The only way I can reach them is by initiating a chat through their website on my own...

According your previous quote of 5 Feb, you have been not able to reach them "unless opening a chat in their website"...
At this point at least you have a first contact by email... but have you tried to seek legal help at least to understand if you had some chances for other actions?

Trust pilot doesn't show specific issues but selective scam (or in general "issues) can be somewhat common in crypto space ... For sure the flag could help other people but I would focus also to understand what it can be really done for your case.

If they were honest and truly concerned about their reputation and customer satisfaction, they would have responded to you long ago and returned your funds. This long delay clearly shows they are untrustworthy.. Take a look now at kycnot.me and the screenshot I attached. It's good that they've placed a warning message at the top, visible to anyone choosing to use their exchange regarding your ongoing case.



Also, their representative on the forum did not follow up on your case until the end after their last reply in your thread, and their last activity on the forum was 7 days ago.

We cannot fully rely on Trustpilot because I have even found that they have recently become lenient with fake and paid reviews, and most of the reviews came from unverified accounts.

I completely agree with you; the OP should create a Type 3 Flag ASAP.

A flag can be withdrawn once the dispute is resolved, but the supporter must also withdraw theirs. You should have created this flag when it was first suggested anyway.

I have supported the Type 3 flag as well; it should bow be active
Some of these swap services are just a big joke and should be avoided at all costs. Imagine holding someone's funds for all that long, leading to financial loss. The market has greatly plummeted since then, and they will shamelessly not compensate when they return the funds to you.

I asked them about the situation but received no clear reply. I believe this is a blatant scam, and in my view they are scammers.
