Bitcoin as been existing for a long period of time and have gain ground to some extent that fading away will be very hard . Bitcoin cannot be compare to other platforms that started but at the end was later capsize. I assure you that you can keep investing , your BTC are safe . Bitcoin has passed the test of time. It has come to stay. On it lies the fall and rise of crptocurrencies and cryptocurrency has come to stay. Over a decade now, we have seen bitcoin rise so much that it wasn't imagined in anyone's mind, and this is just the start and beginning of it. Keep your coins safe. Don't sell it off unless you have to (I don't see any reason why you have to anyways), keep your hope alive.
Bitcoin has come to stay, no fading away, period.

I have seen many crypto winter starting from 2014. I should admit, the first time has been really shocking (and initially the change in prices have been literally violent).

Nowadays, bitcoin has not yet gained the "official" space he deserve on international markets to become "the supreme asset".
I am just not surprised. It is impossible that a product could enter a market in a such distruptive way.
For sure it needs time to gain space but moreover... there is an exchange of coins from weak hands to rich investors.

When the price crashes, there is one guy that sell and another that buy. I think in this historic moment they guys that are buying are just professionals in banks, economic industries and so on. It's just matter of months maybe a couple years after the crypto winter, to see another historic ATH...

There are many crypto coins that came up with Bitcoin as well but today they have all faded away. bitcoin has been able to stand the test of time, even though bitcoin is also volatile it's not as bad as altcoins that reduce your portfolio to zero dollars. Bitcoin will keep on increasing exponentially and keep doing better because it has the potential to. looking at where bitcoin was years ago and where it is today that tells you that has the capacity to keep getting better as the years goes by. some people still have their doubts about it that's the reason why they haven't invested in it, for the record bitcoin is safer than altcoins and less volatile, whenever there is a decline in price that's an opportunity to keep accumulating more and also waiting for the bullish season.

I Also Had these Type of Questions in My Mind But i Reached to A conclusion that They are just Pointless. They Are completely natural, they are always asked when an unfamiliar thing starts to take over. Bitcoin Is also an unfamiliar type of currency to the world, if you would hypothetically go in the past 30 years ago and tell people that there would be a currency that will be decentralized, not controlled by anyone and would Give the Early adopter such Big Profits. They would say you are out of your Mind. Those people today ask these type of questions. They were asked when the Internet came, when television came, when calculators came, when telephone came. They always doubt New things but they End Up performing better than they expect.

Too big to fall, it's the prime mover, so I doubt that it will fade away. And it's one of the kind and many has tried to copy it with it's fork. But still the consensus is with Bitcoin and even if there are thousands of altcoins that might be better in paper, then didn't enjoy what Bitcoin has in the last decade.

Yes, there could be some individuals that literally hate Bitcoin, but for me I don't stay with that kind of negativity. They are entitled on their opinion, and even if we say they are wrong, those guys are not going to accept it so why force the issue?

Let them be left out on this revolution. And the more people creates FUD, the more Bitcoin will go and soar in the next 10 years.

Bitcoin can't fade away, I could remember when Bitcoin was firstly established, many people criticize it, government even ban Bitcoin, but Bitcoin survived all of that, Bitcoin have  come to stay, maybe some of the rules and regulations might change over time, Bitcoin will always remain the most global digital currency in the world, it's gladden my heart that you can actually use Bitcoin without the interference of banks, government or companies, once you have your internet connection boom you can make use of Bitcoin, so for me it will be hard for Bitcoin to fade away instead it will spread more across other local communities.

Nothing is permanent even life as human existence generation changes but even if anything that will affect Bitcoin or happened to seem or appears to be fading of Bitcoin I believe it will never come in our generation not even the ten generation to come Bitcoin has come to stay and will improve in it's existence. Many are still getting more information about Bitcoin and getting ready to adopt Bitcoin, but is good store of value and human are willing to go for things that add value mostly when it has to do with their asset and storage. Though it's good one consider the other side of life but in this case it's impossible for Bitcoin to fade away.

Actually OP, we are in that period right now, Bitcoin will start to go down because the bull market is over already, and this is the perfect time where those who are disappointed for one reason or the other will start saying that it's over for Bitcoin, I have always seen this in every bear market and this one won't be different.

This is also the best time to start buying Bitcoin heavily, I mean when the price keeps going down, I am looking forward to August period to see what the price of Bitcoin will be at the time, this time Bitcoin will touch 200ma again, and as history used to have it that is the perfect bottom or let's say the best time to start buying aggressively.

At this stage its difficult to see Bitcoin fading away. Fading away means a slow decline, not instant.
Maybe within the next 100 years something might happen to cause a move away from Bitcoin, who knows?
anyway none of us will be alive to experience it.

I believe it is only logical to inquire about the decline in the price of Bitcoin, and it probably could be the fear of losing when the market turns volatile and unfavorable news about Bitcoin emerges. However, I believe that, with closer examination, chances of actual extinction of Bitcoin are nonexistent. The Bitcoin is several decades old and proved itself to be strong. Bitcoin is decentralized, non-owner controlled, and uncontrolled and not controlled by any single entity. So long as miners, users and nodes are operating the network, I think that Bitcoin will never fade away.

Bitcoin network is already quite strong and therefore, the more people use it and believe in it the more difficult it will be to substitute it. Bitcoin has been the first and the gold standard in the crypto market and now it is well known all over the world and many institutions and states are interested in it. For the moment and now, I have not found a strong argument, which states that Bitcoin can be lost and destroyed, only people only speculate on the internet and the lights go out, but that is not a real argument that can be considered as a reason Bitcoin could disappear.

I can only believe that Bitcoin will become increasingly rare in the future, because supply is limited, maybe today we can still buy Bitcoin at a price of $80k-$100k, but I'm not sure that in the next 20 years we can buy at the price I mentioned, it could be that one Bitcoin is worth $10 million, in conclusion, in the future, in my understanding, bitcoin will be rare or lost.

People can lost their bitcoins by many reasons but we can learn from their losses and be more knowledgeable, more careful with our practice of Bitcoin storage for preventing loss of our bitcoins. Their painful lessons are helpful for us to be warned, more careful while we don't have to learn from our own experience and losses.

Lost bitcoins generally are gift for everyone as it reduces total circulating bitcoins, and that means circulating supply is less than 21M.

Lost coins only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more.  Think of it as a donation to everyone.

For me, life is inherently risky, and anything can happen. So Bitcoin still has the possibility of fading away over time. However, these are very rare risk and apply to all type of assets and financial system, not just Bitcoin. Bitcoin is even yet to enter maturity, it is just growing. There is a chance in the future that another digital innovation becomes more interesting than bitcoins and bitcoin looses the attention it has now, but I do not think that that will be happening anytime soon. Bitcoin is going to mature into the what it was meant for, it is already passing through the phases of growth. Maybe some people think that bitcoin will fade soon or go out of trend and that is the reason they have not invested in it. I think those people are later going to be in regrets when bitcoin becomes bigger in like ten years time and they did not invest because of their misinformation and doubts.
