Do you feel proud and see it as some kind of compliment, like someone who takes risks and knows what they’re doing. Or do you feel a bit insulted, like it’s something negative and not really something to be proud of?
Well, when someone called me as gambler it doesn't affect me. I don't take it negatively even my mood is not good for losing my money in gambling because it's my choice and no one coerce me to gamble. Moreover, it's not unusual when others are judging you based on what they see and want to believe in. As long as i'm not doing anything wrong that can harm them, i'm not paying attention since it's a waste of time.
Exactly the point, I don't see any thing wrong in being called a gambler, even assuming for example that I am not a gambler, and someone possibly and jokingly called me a gambler, I honestly don't see any thing wrong with it because gambling it self is not bad.
The only way being called a gambler would have made me angry is if gambling was a very bad thing, like it is generally accepted, known that gambling is not a good thing, and some one calls a gambler, I would immediately shune the person and tell him or her never to call me that again cus I don't like it..
Like from example, the societies around the world know and agree that being a criminal is very bad and if and when caught and convicted, the person will do jail term, not if somebody called me a criminal, depending on the mood by which he or she called me that, I may get angry and warn him or her never to call me that again.
