Your topic says to use losses as a lesson, i don't think this applies to gambling, gambling is a game of luck and if you loose money there is literally nothing to learn, because you where not just lucky enough to make a win, so I don't feel there is anything to learn in losses in gambling. You can say learn generally, but learn from losses is not in gambling.

You have mentioned an important point. Many people consider gambling as an easy way to get r ich. And being extra greedy they invest huge amounts in gambling. Soon they became addicted to gambling . And within a few days they lose everything. It is possible to get rich gambling. But it should not be forgotten that it depends on luck. I know a few people who  participated in gambling as a hobby  and managed to win huge amounts on the first day. undoubtedly their fortune was very good . But if our only goal is to get rich by gambling , and if luck is not on our side, it won't take us long to go bankrupt.

Having a cut one on your bet is really frustrating, it will make you to continue again believing that you will win on the next round but unfortunately you might not win even though you keep trying multiple times.

For an experienced gamblers, they are not supposed to be lured into chasing after their losses because their bet just lose by one game, it's lack of self discipline and the lack of knowledge to comprehend that in gambling, no body can gain back what has been lost unless the person is just very lucky.  But most people are just very ignorant at this, just like an issue that came up few days ago about a guy that worked for 10 years to save a huge amount of money but in few days, he spent all that money in gambling. It must have been that he kept chasing after losses.

You are right to say that experienced gamblers should not be lured into chasing after losses but there are times when it feels like that one last chance or opportunity to try, maybe you can just get something out of it, in that case, you will see yourself with all your experience as a gambler still trying to make that one last move you feel and believe will get you back to balance or even in worse case break even. This is actually an easy thing to do, but unfortunately, some gamblers still chase their losses, resulting in further losses. This is due to several factors, one of which is that they only focus on winning, are not prepared to lose their allocated money, and become carried away by emotions.

This ultimately leads them to continue doing things they shouldn't. And they usually do it unconsciously. When they're carried away by emotions, they can't think clearly about their actions, and they end up making repeated deposits to get what they want.

I agree with you to some point because it is not a lot of gamblers that finds it difficult not to go after loss but rather few gamblers and this feeling of chasing or going after loss is always hard to let go especially when you have lost money you can not afford to lose and sometimes even though it is money we can afford to lose we would still feel somehow but it is best we don't risk much while gambling because there's nothing certain.

It's an easy thing to say, but in reality, it's very hard to do it especially if you don't know how to control yourself.

Unfortunately, there are some gamblers out there who can't control themselves whenever they lose money and the best thing that they can do is to recover those losses. Some don't want to end their day with a loss so they'll do everything just to recover those losses. Some have high ego that they can't accept losing money hence, they'll try and recover it. I'm not saying that chasing losses will always lead to more losses, but majority of them are.

There are still some gamblers who are that lucky enough to recover their losses, but another problem that they have is to stop because while some recover their losses, some can't stop them and they'll continue to gamble hoping that they'll make more money, and while some end up winning, some or most of them ending up losing even more money. The cycle keeps on, and on, and on.

Discipline and self-control. 2 things that every gambler should have to prevent themselves from doing some bad decisions while gambling. Unfortunately, not all has this that's why they're losing money in the long run.

Unfortunately, there is nothing to learn here. Gambling is all about win and loss. The only thing worth learning is how to manage risk when gambling. Every other thing is controlled by the game providers and the players if it is sports betting. It is true, the most lesson learnt from gambling is never to chase loss. It only make the gambler, lose more. The same thing goes for chasing win. When the gambler tend to go for more win, rather than quitting when the time was right.

It is not true that there is nothing to learn here, but there is certainly a lot to learn. If we participate in gambling without being experienced and without understanding different strategies and gamble recklessly, then will we be able to gamble correctly? Not ever one wants to move on just like that but as it is now when you don't move on you will even lose more than what you have invested as a gambler, one of the nighy mares of gamblers is losing money but since there is not solution to that they best will be for them to manage there gambling habit well because if it is not properly managed a lot of it even leads to addiction and that is controlling of emotions works hand in hand with gambling as much as you will want to continue after a lose you should just let it go and continue when it is more convincing to continue but there people that will want to gamble every day regardless of the result they are getting so,  they need to be calmer when they are gambling or they get caed there self through the process.

The most tempting feeling in gambling is trying to go for more winnings even after a loss because of the expectations of getting back to your winnings way. It's never easy especially for one without discipline, there are actually no lessons learnt but only regrets,  because its pattern is not repeated or predictable.

There are some hidden rules or common rules but its self taught never spoken, when you win, run. Just find your way out. If you stay to add more wins loss your winnings back to the casino without realizing it, so what you do best is take one that you have gotten then leave maybe after some time where you must have achieved something nice with the money then you can come back to start afresh.
