Does anyone else feel unlucky every time they lose?

Does anyone else feel like this, or is it just me with this weird mindset?

It's normal to feel this way as a gambler especially, if you put your hope on winning the game. I have felt like this times without number which was the reason I limited my engagement in Parlay bets. I prefer betting on a single game so tha that anyone that comes out as predicted would give me profits. What about the last game cutting your slip, that sucks more.

Yea its normal to think that way specifically when betting on slots and games of chance,
games where "luck" is a factor to some extent.

This is 100% true all the time. There is a lot to regret when losing to a pure-luck based games than to the one that requires analysis, because there's not much you can do but rather wait for your bets to multiply.
In sports betting, depending on the odd you picked, even if it's almost losing, there's still chances for it win if the team you placed your bets into bounced back and seal the deal. Well, if you're in a parlay that's completely different scenario, lol.

Anyway, those what "if's" and "I'm just unlucky" thoughts moment, after a lose is kind of feel normal, as long as you don't get too emotional and chase those losses.

That's one of the biggest sources of attraction to gambling: the uncertainty of thinking, "I could have done this or that," and ending up with the feeling that either you shouldn't have gambled, or maybe you should have, depending, because obviously your thoughts are influenced by the results. Before seeing the results, you don't ask yourself those questions, or if you do, you don't give them much importance because you don't know what will happen.

This mostly happens when you lose an amount of money that you can't afford to lose or when you experience a near miss that makes you start thinking about what you could have done differently. Having all of these feeling of regret or thinking that something would have been done to change the outcome is the reason why a lot of gamblers chase losses and get addicted to gambling.

I also feel unlucky when I lose. It happens to everyone. Luck matters in gambling. However, in gambling, you have to accept both losing and winning. However, in my case, if I lose 5-7 times in a row, I stop gambling. I take a break for a while, maybe 1 or 2 hours, then start gambling again with a refreshed mind so that the previous consecutive losses do not affect me.

One to two hours waiting time really isn’t enough time for me, if I want to take a break from gambling after experiencing a losing streak, I tend to take days off or even weeks off from gambling just to calm down and reset my mind.

Like I said in my previous post, the sadness I feel whenever I lose a bet is proportional to the amount I placed on the bet so the bigger the amount and also it’s important the more the sadness and that’s why I usually go with little amount that I can afford to lose.

Changing the game might alter your position from the negative bias in your thinking that luck is somehow self determined mystically.  I'd relate that to paranoia, in that people believe events revolve around them instead of just being a player etc.

  Some games will fit people better then others, when you find the right one you will know and it'll work out better for you.  I'm always surprised to win if anything rather then the opposite but neither is a positive attitude most likely; you want to best take account of how you can and do win and repeat that wherever possible.  Hence I  think change the track & play a different game could be the best thing to try out next.

It's not a bad thing to stop playing because of a bad experience; it's something we should do to protect ourselves. It's not bad at all; on the contrary, it's a form of reflection to see what things we should and can correct I do that too, and when I come back to playing, I feel a little wiser because we are all learners; we don't know everything We should be a little more aware of our actions and correct and rectify them in time.

Yes because the more you keep pushing, the deeper you keep going and the harder it often gets to pull out. in fact, I ike to look at it that the moment you start having that feeling to keep going and keep pushing harder with hopes of breaking a barrier, is just about the best time to take a break because the more you keep pushing and keep encountering losses, the more your emotions keep getting mixed up in the game, and this doesn't often end well.

OP, it is unwise to dwell in this mindset.  Because you have this mindset you only attract more loss and you leave absolutely no room for WINNING! I would implore you to think of it like you would sales. If you've never been in sales before then just know that you will keep getting a no again and again and again. The only thing thst keeps you going is that eventually going to get that yes. Focus on the yes, focus on the win.

I agree with your sentiment, it's normal to feel that way when you are not getting the supposed outcome that you are aiming, though there's no assurance as gambling is a risky place where there's no accurate patterns that you can follow, it's more  on how luck will guide and lead you, and since that a human nature to feel dissapointment, it's needs to be handle by accepting the outcome and not  to dwell to anything better to use an amount that you are capable to letgo.

That is why we need to see clearly that we should not place high hopes on gambling because it can become a weapon that harms us. with the reality that defeat is more certain than victory, so high hopes can be shattered by defeat. It must be remembered that gambling is a risky activity, and some people take risks in gambling, such as betting with borrowed money. This is wrong because gambling is clearly risky and there is almost no certainty, but there are still people who insist on taking risks. We should only bet with the amount we can afford.

Is it necessary to invest money in bets that I can not afford ? Chances of winning or  losing in gambling are equal. So we should  invest such an amount in gambling that we will not suffer loss if we lose the amount. But sometimes it becomes  difficult to control yourself.

But it is natural that we feel unlucky after losing money in gambling. Most gambling depends on our luck. So it is not possible to win  money in gambling without the help of luck. But we should be aware  of spending money on gambling . If money management is done properly , and if you have some experience in gambling then it is possible to earn money from it.

Focus on the yes, focus on the win.

Focusing on winning does give positive energy to gamblers. But if the win is not achieved and the expectation of winning is too high, it is also not good for gamblers. Losing can actually lead to excessive regret because what is gained does not meet expectations. I don’t know about other people, but I consider each gambling session to be over at that moment. So when starting a new gambling session, I don’t take what happened before into account.

It's just your brain trying to shift blame from the fact that you might have analysed the particular game poorly and then blaming it on some extraordinary phenomenon rather than accept that you are human after all and that you analysis will never be 100% accurate, that game would have ended the same way whether or not you place a bet on it, try asking yourself how many people placed bets on that game the next time you feel like the team you favoured lost because of you, when you see the amount of people betting on that game you will realize how insignificant you actually are in deciding how a game plays out, we all are.

Your expectations and fund you stake sometimes goes a long way to tell the kind of emotional reaction someone gets from gambling and it’s level of intensity as well, some people are very emotional though but majority reason why people feel so disappointed and depressed during gambling is because of the high level of hope and expectations they have in their gambling games which is most times the resultant effect of their gambling funds.

But when we are talking about just being unhappy every time you lose, it is something that naturally happens when you lose because no body should ordinarily feel happy that they are losing, whether there is money involved or not, no body is happy being called a loser.

Most definitely, especially when the gambler is betting with a budget and has actually exhausted the set budget, some gambler’s impulsive plan at this point would be to make another deposit to see how it goes, this is often just another trap, and the moment a gambler falls into the first trap, they’ll eventually fall for the second one, and before they know it, they’re already caught up in the continuous loop of irresistible gambling, fueled by the hope of recovery, which in reality mostly never actually happens.

Frankly speaking, this is not uncharacteristic. Our brain is so designed that whenever we lose, we accuse luck and when we win, we believe that the decision made was very good. However, all too often it is mere chance, we can not be in charge of everything.
Individually, I believe it is more appropriate to have one rule which is to have a limit whether one loses or wins. Then it is not a stressful game. Finally, luck is not more than self-control.

The mistake is blaming luck or the casino itself. We should know that when gambling, we will experience losses or lose money, so there should be no one to blame, whether it be luck or the strategy used. Blaming others or anything else is wrong. Instead of blaming others, it is better to blame ourselves because, basically, we are the ones in control.
While rules setting limits may exist, we must be smart about controlling ourselves to avoid getting deeper into gambling.
