Scammers already used this kind of scam to scam people by using fake website to get the seed phrase just like the one you mentioned by pretending to be a customer support. Some are not sending PM but by email where they send email saying you have a problem with your wallet or account in an exchange for example and you must do something to make your account safe by making some changes but it is not what it is. Admins or customer support never send DM first.

It has been this way for long, when you complain about any given problem on any social media group of the project you are having the problem with, you will be pmed by different people claiming to be the customer service of the project, trying to render help, and if you are not careful enough you will fall to their instructions on how they will dupe you.

Well, most admins of every platforms has made it open, to give it as a warning that they don't pm first. That means they can't send you a pm first unless you pmed them directly. Learning about this as a newbie will help someone on how to navigate not to be scammed

Yes, the Discord channel is official, at the same time as contacting support.

I think they have technical support on the Discord. I am not sure what coins you are talking about, but your issue might be because you have no Ethereum balance. You can't transfer any token if you don't have at least enough ETH to cover the transaction or gas fees.

The problem was solved.
The fee isn't a problem atm. They have a problem with UI, and they fixed it immediately after I talked about that issue on Discord.

Newbies should be careful; some people pretend to be customer service/support and direct you to a scam/phishing site.

As we know, 2 days ago price drop recently, I have to send my altcoin fast to the exchange to avoid a further dump. between panic and such, I don't think about many things. I also didn't realize that I was connecting my metamask into phising site after the site warn me to write mnemonic seed.


I also warn people if do not full trusting staking site especially a new coin or token, because there will be many bugs, and problem. Early investor only used as an experiment. If you're lucky, your problem will be resolved quickly, but if not, you will wait indefinitely and watch your coin dump.

Better to stay in Bitcoin, even if it's currently a dump, bitcoin it will recover someday, and help you directly if you have a technical problem.

I was actually referring to Discord pinned messages/channels. If that project doesn't even bother to put important info on their announcements channel/pinned messages, then I doubt they're pro at all. Even some random meme tokens can put that info on their Discord without using too many resources. Based on your description this project doesn't give a good impression to investors at all if that is true.

It happen all the time and maybe they are busy with other things that's why they cannot act fast.

That's why its better to send message first to their official representative so that we can filter out easily those impersonators and can immediately avoid their scam attempts. You will be bombard with lots of unwanted message especially if you post that you need  help with your issues on those channels. Well somehow its good that you spot those phising attempts then warn people especially newbies to pay attention on those messages they receive from discord and also in telegram.

Yes, whatever the problem is, there is no one in this world ask you to write a mnemonic seed. If there is, it's fix 100% scam or phishing!.

I must encourage you all here, even in panic, you have to still calm down to always think, and be aware of the situation.

My problem was solved after the real customer support told me that they have a problem with the UI.

Going through social media to look for support from any customer care, someone must come to you to act as a customer support just to try their luck with their scam attempts; and this social media is the place where newbies do go to get easy support instead of using the right platform to get the right customer support.

No customer support will ask of your seed phrase, we have to be wise, if we have been here for a while, we should know how important our seed phrase is to us because it is our wallet’s security, and without that we have no wallet and our funds are not safe.

Newbies, be very vigilant and avoid getting scammed, always take your time to verify and get the right support you need, don’t panic and must importantly, don’t give your seed phrase to anyone.

OP says someone messaged. that should be a red flag on its own. a lot of scammers pretend to be a customer service agent, a banker, even your grandmother sometimes so i often ignore those who message me first especially if i don't know them.

I think this forum is the only place I have not blocked dms and private messages from people. I have done it on telegram, done it on Discord, did the same in reddit and this has help me filtered unsolicited message from people but particularly scammers that will come to the dms with different patterns. The one that disgust me so much are the ones that comes with nudity trying to make you give all yours through romance scams, I feel people are to gullible for these scammers.

Exactly, bot ticket will appear immediately on general chat when the user writes a specific word like withdraw, stuck, or anything, and when the user click that bot will automatically send a PM to the scammer.

You did a mistake by asking an assistant in discord. Don't asked a customer support in discord or telegram channels group. You can chat them up directly on the website life chat or their email. But if you chat them in the public telegram or discord channels, you will encounter scammers in there and they will be luring you gradually until you fall their trap and they will scam you. Avoid them in any cost.
Though nobody is perfect because scammers always came with different strategies to lure their victims to fall. But avoid chatting such people unless you chat them directly to their website life chat or official email and staff which you know.

When they stake into those platforms, they're giving the custody of their coins to them. So, whatever happens to the platforms like they get hacked and their funds are stolen.

It's possible that they won't be able to withdraw anymore as the withdrawals will be halted by that platform when they try to unstake and withdraw.

Better to stay in Bitcoin, even if it's currently a dump, bitcoin it will recover someday, and help you directly if you have a technical problem.

They will never understand this until it happens to them. Lucky for many of us, we didn't wait for it to happen to us and we just know that holding Bitcoin is much better than choosing that option.

DAMN right keep this on your mind guys I really meant it, back then the year is 2015 ish, I forgot the exact year, but  I Have around 100 usd in a bitcoin which a lot in my country and the bitcoin price still around 500 ish per bitcoin. I get those bitcoin from faucet all day all night day by day.

and somehow there is a site similiar to blockchain.info that give an early user a bonus 50 usd or so at that time the website is the same exact thing I just follow their guide and put my mnemonic and puff my money is gone all my hard work for month just gone f*ckkkk.

Scam threat on this format has been existing for long, whereby you see people in personating account and claim to be the intended organization or customer agents they are not, but if we are being sensitive enough, we are going to observe that there is a little difference that could indicate they are in personating and we are not on the right chat with them, because before you know it, they are already demanding for what shouldn't be requested.

Always make sure and check where your wallet is connected, or don't connect them at all if you can just paste your wallet address without connecting its way better, mostly connecting wallet to dapps or a site will be the reason it will be drain, and would execute a command to transfer the fund since you have approved or make it known, but mostly make sure every pop up before confirming , read everything , sometimes it says connect but in reality its transferring already of funds been a victim before but just small amount.

I have had this experience on X, where scammers began to pm me unnecessarily just because I asked a question of concern to me while tagging the handle of the ceo to the project and the project handle as well, and it was not up to 20 minutes, I began to recieve pms from scammers claiming to be what they are not. I just had to drop a pm to the real handle amd we began discussing my issue then, and it was resolved very fast without much delay.

Scammers are just out there waiting for vulnerability to launch their attack on holders, most especially newbies who do not know or have no idea how the space operates.
