In the beginning of gambling, a person may gamble for entertainment. As long as he keeps winning, he will keep saying that he is gambling for entertainment or fun. But when he starts losing and starts suffering. He will start gambling more aggressively to recover the money. Then the point of gambling will not be just about entertainment. He may reveal to others that he is gambling for entertainment. But his mental state has changed and he has reached the first stage of addiction. Therefore, everyone should fix his limit before gambling. After that, if he gambles for entertainment or to pass the time or to relieve depression, there will be no major problem.

Not everyone goes down this path, some people are still able to stick to the entertainment sides of gambling no matter how much they  win from a bet they always make sure they don't get lost in gambling. The question looks funny but it has weight to some of the argument that had been going on in the forum. Some people said they gamble for fun and some said they gamble to earn more money and I strongly believe that the later has the highest score of people. Well as for me without arguing too much. Whenever I place bet, it is to make profit from the deposited amount and not to lose it to the casino. It is the winning that makes me happy to continue gambling.

actually you have not answered why you participate in gambling and it is a bone of the contention of this thread, I noticed that some people does not know the reason why that participate in gambling, and some of them join gambling because they want to boost their financial strength that is why they are into gambling, are there some people join gambling because others mislead them to join gambling and other people claim that there are into gambling because of entertainment, but we need to know that the gambling is not source of making money and those people who claim that they are into gambling because of entertainment I think out of 100% it is only 20% that will be sure of participating in gambling because of entertainment and the remaining ones is into gambbling because of money

You’re right not everybody gets carried away from the entertainment side of gambling, because for me, I will and have never be Carried away to the point were I will be too or overly hopeful about a gambling game I stacked..I would never be found in that kind of situation..
Most of the times self, the reason I gambling especially on sport betting, it's normally when I have the chance to watch a game, then I just decide to gamble to make the watching more interesting and all..

If we are honest with ourselves, we will all agree that we gamble for money most times, not always, as fun. There are times gamblers gamble for fun, and it's okay to be pained when you lose even if it's just for entertainment. It's up to us, so you should say that we should gamble for fun, not that we are expected to gamble for fun. A lot of individuals will engage in gambling due to the experience, then the excitement, suspense, and entertainment aspect is like spending money on movies or sports events. But if that is the case why do we usually complain most times when we lose or why the persistent chasing of lost or try to get back our lost each time we lose in our gaming streak , perhaps is it that some of us aren't sincere to our self when we usually say we only gamble for the fun? Everyone have their own personal reason of doing something even when come to gambling too. But some reasons maybe similar like doing some are doing it for fun while some are doing it for the money , so is for you to figure out which category you fall under as a gambler, and some folks also gamble for other reasons too .
