Still aiming for profit in Sports Betting despite losses?

I have been on sports betting for a long time now and some years back I can tell for sure that my loss was more than my profits because then I use to make loss on a steady but currently my winning so far has been great and I believe it is more than my loses now though I can not really count how much I have made but it is really huge. What keeps me going in gambling is the believe that I will hit a major jackpot some day and I make sure to gamble within my reach and I call it discipline.

Surely, wining varies most times just like you said that your experience the past few years was not really funny but coming back to this year you just see things working differently and of course that's how luck plays most times, personally I can't say I have been profitable last year neither will I say I'm profitable this year, if you trace my gambling record last year and this year I'm not sure if I had up to 10 winings that's if you calculate my wining record from last year down to this year, but I believe there are better days ahead.

That's what gambling is all about (luck) you can't be very consistent in winning you win some and lose some, the fact that someone wasn't lucky enough to win at a particular time doesn't mean they won't be lucky if they try some other time. Just that some folks just can't accept lose they always want to be on the winning ends and try to chase their lose but it's not possible cause the house would always have the better edge and bettors would mostly rely on luck to be successful.

One thing humans will always have is hope as long as they think the possibility of something happening is true, they don't really care much if the probability itself is low. It's the same way I've always approached my gambling hobby. I might not be the biggest winner yet bytut I have the belief and hope that a day will come when stars will align; Luck will align with my analysis skills and it would be on a day I am well sized in on my bet.

The moment a gambler removes or even tries to remove the presence of luck from the big picture, that's the moment that their problems begin, because they potentially put themselves in a position where they believe anything is possible, so even if they consistently lose, they urge to chase those losses suddenly takes over them, and they start thinking that the more they go the higher their chances of actually recovering that loss.

I have mixed feelings about this. I am not mentioning how many years I have been gambling but it is a long time. And at the same time, I have had many experiences, both losses and profits.
And over the long term, my taste buds have changed many times, such as many times that I have been tracking my gambling loss and profit and then stopped tracking it after a while. This is how these two things have been going in circles so far.
However, even though my losses are high here, I haven't stopped gambling and it's not like it's having a big impact on my financial system. And that's because I don't gamble beyond my ability to lose.

As losses are normal in every type of betting, at sports ones you could do a bit better if you know the teams a bit well. Everyone can be wrong, there is nothing wrong with being in a loss, but long term it could break even better than other games.

In games like dice or slots, you end up losing long term nor matter what, but with sports betting you could have good periods and it takes longer for you to lose it all, because it's a slower one (requires you to wait for the game to be done) and it is also not going to be wrong that much unless you are playing for underdogs every game.

Most of us probably didn’t start winning right away. For many, it’s years of trial and error, blown bankrolls, bad decisions, and emotional betting before learning anything real.

I am not sure how much I have lost but based on the current price of my lost token/coin is atleast 100 times of my current asset. Though the value at the time of loss wasn't 100 times. It might be same as my current asset value of the time of lose.

Exactly, gamblers seem to have forgotten that gambling doesn't work like that, gamblers need to understand that the chance of winning and losing is 50/50 so therefore guys need to accept whatever outcome they get be it wining or losing because there's no way you can recover from your past losses instead you will still add more to it.

So gamblers need to understand this, although not that gamblers is not aware that they can't easily recover thier lost rather they are doing that due to frustration.

Yup. I have no counter argument. Hope is just one piece of the puzzle and also, there's no way I would use all my money to bet nor am I suggesting or recommending it. That's why I mentioned that the day the stars will align in my favour and luck shines upon me and my bet, it should be the day I have sized in well on my bet so I get a high enough winnings that compensates for everything. Until, we take it one day at a time over here.

Well said sir i totally agree with you sir, but sometimes i dont really think gambling is all about frustration, some times it can be caused my not bejng contented, quick money too and also addiction most gambers are so addicted to gambling, some to due to too much loss in gambling they just want to gain all thy have lost in a twinkle of an eye, thereby lossing more

Even in some cases, I don't think there is a 50/50 chance of winning and losing, rather I think that most of the time we have a chance of losing and very few times we have a chance of winning. In my case, this is basically the case most of the time.

And I adopt this kind of mentality and then when gambling, I spend my money or set a bank roll so that it does not go beyond my ability to lose. It is not a matter of whether I am profitable or not, but I am sure that there is no extra pressure on me to eat my losses and at the same time the enjoyment of gambling will not be affected.

Basically, I bet with the minimum amount, and the funds left over so that I don't feel like I'm losing a lot of what I bet. I don't worry too much about calculating how much I lost because in soccer betting, you can bet with the minimum amount. If from the start you aim for victory without having a betting limit then it will slowly destroy your finances.

If gambling is considered entertainment, then there is no need to calculate how much I am losing. Like you, I also use very small amounts of money in gambling, so I do not have to calculate how much I am losing. Moreover, I always participate in sports betting and I bet on matches that are easy to predict and have a high probability of winning. I am not always ready to gamble, especially when I need entertainment, I participate in gambling.

I do everything. I spend more time analyzing the data, but my luck is still far from me. I don't know why, but I accept the reality. So, instead of aiming for a profit, I forget about it. I rather think this is just an entertainment, so I gamble calmly and with less pressure.

I understand that gambling is not meant for everyone. What I mean is that not all are lucky enough to make money here. Of course, we win, but we lose more. I know there are successful gamblers out there, but we admit the reality that there are a lot of unsuccessful gamblers.

Gambling doesn't actually have a linear path to follow, you can do everything right and still end up losing, there is no road map to succeeding in it, like you said, the best thing to do is to enjoy the game and focus more entertaining yourself, winning should be a bonus that comes with the fun. Gambling is actually meant for everyone the problem is that everyone is trying to get same results.
