Obiously luck is the main factor in gambling, but the anlaysis knowledge increase the probability of winning here also. I am saying here luck is the main factor becuase if we look around the sports their some time we also see the unexpected result, like the strong team loses and the underdog team wins.
So here I would say that gambling as much as you can afford to lose, based on your experience, it is understood that your winning ratio is much more positive but you shouldn't exceed your afford zone , I will advise you there is no issues with if you start your journey as sports bettor until you exceed your afford zone.

For me, I will say that both luck, skill and your ability not to be greedy but follow a considerable odds is one factor to contribute to your subsequent success in gambling. 8/10 is good win rate, but the problem is that it is too small number of bets. You need at least 200-300 bets to understand your real win rate. The same time it is very important how do you bet. If you just believe in luck - it is a bad idea to bet more. If you analyze lots of events, search for all information about teams you plan to bet - it can increase your profit.

I don't know if to call what OP experienced as beginners luck, because that's how it was with me initially, I could make predictions and it almost always plays out right untill I joined the sportsbetting platform as a full-time member and then I discovered what I thought was as easy, just makes you doubt yourself and thinking faculty once you get into it real time like his friends are busy doing in the post.
