What that was very discouraging about it was that it is not his money. Her mum gave him the money to help her save it in his account for sometime. He did not spend the money until he made some money from gambling and think of increasing the money because he made 10x returns consecutively. He lost the money and his mum told him to send the money to her some weeks after but he was unable to. People should be careful of gambling. If it can not be done responsibly, no need to gamble. Well, from what I understand in all you have said, you don't bet regularly and that gives you the thought of always filtering your games before you bet, if you start betting regularly, you might start feeling less concern or you might start lacking the ability to concentrate only on high probability games and that can reduce your chance of winning. I dont think that is the correct way to approach this. Winning 8/10 is very rare, like 80% wins, usually it ends being the 50% center peak of the Gaussian curve. So if they have a better percentage then they have been lucky on this cycle. Rather better to be careful with the future bets, because normalization will happen eventually and they will come back to 20% winning rate.

The ones who have been careful will eventually lose as well. Because gambling is such a game. There is no such thing as professional in gambling, because it will eventually lead to a loss, you just have to exit before that - how to know when? No correct answer to this.

His plan is not bad at all if he is already a gambler with just different type of game. He has a promising result which means he can try his luck on sports betting when he is good based on his initial assessment due to his 80% winning rate.

I agree that there’s no guarantee that he will continue being profitable if do this regularly but he can always try it first and see how he will progress now that he do it regularly.

This is a good business that can turn your life around in less than a year. If sports betting wor this good for you, give it more time and allocate more resources to it.

8 out of 10 is a great start but honestly it could be luck. The fact that you only bet occasionally might actually be why you're winning. You're probably more selective. If you start betting more frequently, your win rate might drop. My suggestion is don't quit your day job for this. Keep it as a side thing, stay disciplined and never chase losses. hey! this looks like a pattern and if you are doing your little and getting more wins than looses, there is no point pushing it beyond limit. stick to what you can control and never allow greed and whatever looks like a good prospect push you into gambling the way that will look like an irresponsible way of gambling. when you get too involved just like your friend, you will eventually notice that your wins are just product of luck and nothing special. at some point in time, the gambler that is constantly loosing was winning almost on a regular bases.

I'm opening this topic to have some opinion on sports betting . I'm not an regular sports bettor , I've a close friend who regularly place bet's on sport's game. I see him often lose from sports betting. I occasionally play sport's betting. But it seems like my prediction are more accurate day by day.

If you study and observe the game regularly, you can go further. I also had no idea about sports betting but have been practicing for a month. This makes it much easier but I see many people who win a lot of money with combos. But I haven't won in combo betting yet. Since combo betting is very difficult to win, you can use single bet. That's why I can say, you know a lot about the game. Bet on that game.

8/10 is very good in my opinion. You can achieve consistent profits with the same bet amount on each bet. But have you ever kept detailed records? Does this happen consistently or only occasionally?

There's no condition for regularity in gambling, same also for irregularity, we have the privilege to choose between when to gamble and how, i like it this way because we are having freedom in gambling, not like the way that we may be found entangled to comply by consistency demand, being regular or not, we still gamble and take risk playing, while nothing changes.

Nobody can answer your question, because it can go in so many ways... So if you really wish to find out, you need to give it a try. And why not? You have a good score for now, 8 out of 10 is impressive. Can you afford it? If you can't take it slow with current stakes and try to build a higher bankroll... don't risk your money if you can't afford to lose it. We all have bad days, and don't let those bad days ruin your entire life... that's what happens if you gamble with money you can't afford to lose, and you get into a red streak.

I think your choice to bet occasionally is the right one. You can bet regularly, but master your bets on matches that you are genuinely interested in. Most bettors lose more often because they focus on odds to accumulate bigger returns. 
If you feel lucky with sports betting, try placing a few bets routinely. But control your choices so you don't place bets that rely solely on luck. Random bets are not reliable.

Being a casual sport bettor and a regular sport bettor is a different thing. Reality is yet to dawn on you; now you are selective and not pressured to make decisions. You won eight out of ten? That is really great and it prove that you are not just supporting your team out of emotion but also betting with logic. However I do not think that this short winning streak is the right time to start a career. Because luck play a big role in some bet and these streak can suddenly stop without warning. It is really difficult to predict the outcome of sport even if your analysis is very strong. In fact discipline and bankroll management are the main tool for serious bettor. For this a small part of the total fund can be used for each betting, as well as it is necessary to keep track of every bet.
