Your strategy is bet low on few games and you've been lucky so far by winning 8 out of 10 bets I think you should mantain this strategy for as long as it's giving you wins because there is no guarantee that increasing your bets will give you a big win. But if you are compelled to test your luck by increasing your bet you can try it but my advice to you is don't exceed with amount that you cannot afford to loose. Have it at the back of your head that winning is by luck despite your skills and strategy, your small bets with small amounts can turn to losing streaks tomorrow that is why you should always use small amounts. By virtue of gambling, I'm also one of those who could proudly say that I'm a sports bettor, to gamble is not by being a regular gambler or not, because we are not marking attendance to show ourselves approved or qualified to gamble, neither are we doing this to impress anyone for any reason, rather, we are all gambling for self-satisfaction and this must always be considered each time we are gambling, so that whenever we don't meet up with some targets, we let go and move on without being discouraged because there will always be another time.

It is common of lucks to meet beginners and had also been the attractiveness of those who are not well oriented about the risk on gambling to fall addiction victims.

As a rare gambler who does not bet regularly, it can also be possible to achieve more wins than looses but that is usually on the strategy that you have to always bet on favourite leagues as a sport bettor. Regular gambling doesn't open you towards regular wins neither does it guarantees higher winning rate over losses. In fact, there was a time I was gambling regularly and it happened that I made much losses during that period than what I made as profit, that's if it should be called profit or a recovery of a little portion of my total losses at the time.

If you have being gambling infrequently and making profit than your friend who regularly gambles, it's either you're timing when there are much games to play for the weekend or weekdays and you're picking those games that are with higher chances of having a win over their opponent irrespective of the odds size, and you're doing this with very short simple parlay. Yes when betting you definitely need to keep an eye on thing like psychology, h2h and injury. But do not think that just collecting information and sitting around waiting for luck will make you a good gambler. Pro bettor always find value and edge. You need to balance your data with the odd and actual winning chance, taking risk just because some statistic look good will not lead to much success in the long run. To find value bet you also need to check the odd fluctuation at different bookie. My wild guess is that the OP might have only been betting on straight money line. This is the easiest and safest way when you bet on the heavy favourites. Chances for an upset are very slim, however, the winning amounts are very low as well. If anyone places a straight money line who are irregular gambler but knows much about the sport would probably get the same results out of 10 attempts as the OP.
If the OP increases his betting frequency, he'll probably get tempted to bet on over and under, point spreads, race to 10/20/ and so on, and any other type of betting lines, and that is where he will accumulate more losses.

What you need to consider is not to compare yourself with others because if you think you are greater it will bring out the arrogant nature in you which results in false optimism, this will interfere with your way of thinking in assessing a team because of that.
If you have a very good success rate like that, then you should continue to repeat your assessment strategy to determine the bet because it is a way of testing a betting strategy, if the results are not much different after a few matches won in the future, you can only consider increasing the amount of betting, however, risk management and money management should still be held even if you feel like it is easy to win.

Gambling is a game of luck, no matter how much we research and bet on sports, we have to depend on luck to win, if luck is good, we can win by gambling. So giving more importance to our research from the starting of gambling, no matter what the outcome of gambling, we can control our emotions and correct our mistakes and gamble more consciously in the future. Don't get deceived, you have more success in sports betting because you bet rare but thinking that you could maintain or even near that success when you bet regularly isn't a smart thinking. In sports betting we know some games results will be this but still they are available to bet with odds like 1.01x, so betting on that doesn't give much returns while maintaining good success rate.

This was exactly how my sport betting began, I often looked at sport betting to be very simple and easy when I started way back in 2014, I tried the first time and got failed, the second trials was successful although it was not big amount. Then the greed hasn't increased and that I haven't started going for more risky options then too.

There is no big difference from the gambling you've been trying before, over time, greed will take over, and that will be the beginning of downfall and sideways.
