I guess that is one of the downside of new technology which is AI i know that AI has made our lives easier and more convenient just 1 prompt away you can get the answers you want and with the rising of text to images and videos we can do endless things with this. and because it is a lot easier know it also slowly makes us lazy because we dont need to think hard enough and spent more time to complete a task. we should also practice our critical thinking and problem solving skills before AI do the work.

If you have something that can do the work for you then there is no point in stressing yourself out. But in the aspect of thinking critically you are right about that. There is need to exercise our brain because if we don't it becomes slow, it's just like a muscle that needs to be developed constantly. And what we can imagine is that AI isn't even on its peak, how much more if it comes to the point that all systems are automated and it's being run by an AI and behind the control on those AIs are done by a single person. So, the job of hundreds of people is replaced by a few AI that can do all of the tasks which is being controlled by a single or few people.

   You can call that lazy, advancement whatever but it was already a thing.  What AI actually should represent imo is efficiency.

Most people being overweight, unskilled and spending copious amounts of time on garbage like social media and binge watching shows is definitely not a sign of laziness, it is a sign of well developed adoption of using technology to their advantage. What actual advantage? Making yourself fat and stupid is an advantage? Only hyper performing humans need tools that increase their efficiency and create some extra free time, which they will use again to be more active -- whether for themselves personally or for work. Everyone else DOES NOT need it, it does not help them, it HURTS THEM. Learn the fucking difference and stop justifying the foul choices that you and the people you know are making.

For most people AI is not efficiency, it is going to compound their laziness as it is a new generation of technology that already is to a big extent the cause of their laziness. AI can only make this worse, not better. These people already have way too much free time.

Nobody is really denying that there can be boosts in productivity with AI, this is seen with the top engineers. The denial actually comes with people who believe that AI technologies do not increase the likelihood of making someone more lazy or stupid, which is completely false. That is exactly what even basic reliance on such tools does, any kind of overuse is basically a brain killer.

Laziness stemming from relying on AI can happen to anyone and perhaps most commonly among young people still in college, as they tend to have many digital or online tasks that AI is highly likely to assist with. Ultimately, it all depends on how we choose to utilize it.

Exactly. A calculator can't do everything where calculation is involved and a washing machine won't wash you clothes properly if you put much less washing powder than needed or set the timer on 2 minutes. Those things can help us a lot, but not without our interaction. And with AI it's the same. Unfortunately, some people think that can rely on AI completely and it will do everything for them. That's just wrong. But AI can be a good helper if used properly.

Great example to prove how both of you idiots are wrong, and it proves that AI is cancerous. What has the widespread availability of calculators accomplished? Most children are unable to even do basic math operations without the use of calculators. If we start talking about fractions and percentages they completely get lost, and this is the most basic of the math. So do not give me this shit about "tools" making things better, when it has been proven in many cases that reliance on tools leads to a diminishing of skills. Are you that stupid to believe that people would become better drivers if the cars start driving themselves?   AI will make most people lazier and stupider, there is no doubt in the logic of this consequence -- research has already confirmed it and I have linked some of it.

When it comes to AI development there's no end in sight especially since AI technology is still new and many people haven't fully adapted to it. Saying AI will make people lazy might be true but it's not entirely accurate. While AI can potentially make people lazy if used incorrectly it's also there to help us become more efficient or perhaps even more creative not to make us lazy.

For me AI is similar to trading which can be a double edged sword. If you use it with discipline and wisdom you'll achieve positive results. Conversely if you use it incorrectly for example out of greed or a desire for quick riches trading can actually be detrimental. So it all depends on how you adapt. If you treat AI as an assistant not a replacement for your thoughts always prioritize your thoughts first then ask for help from AI or seek alternative ideas and the results are often better.

From that perspectives as you use the system to improve your lifestyle in terms of physica health then you are using it as benefits, not relying on it as problem solver, though it's realy depends on how a person use it on their own good while there are people who are using it the wrong way and just relying on it to everything that may satisfy them and not to do anything to improve themselves but all is just to lean on the system and not do other things to help themselves.

I've heard opinions like this, and it's basically true. Because new types of technology are constantly changing the job market. In the past, there were many professions that disappeared due to progress. For example, when machines were invented, all the handicrafts were complaining about it, but eventually they learned to use machines, and everything was fine again. However, there's a catch. Machines are a physical phenomenon, but AI is controlled by only two countries: the United States and China. And if they want to, they can turn off AI for any country that has implemented it.
This can happen in just one second, and it will cause a crisis in that country's workforce. This is the most significant difference from previous technological advancements in workplace progress.

I think theres some truth in the concern, but it might be a bit overstated. AI itself doesn't really control people, its just a tool. The real issue is how dependent people or systems become on it. If everything relies to much on AI or digital system, then yes, any disruption could cause problems. But thats not very different from what we already have. Banks, internet service, and even power systems can also fail or be restricted, and we've learned to manage those risks over time. For me, the bigger point is balance. Using AI can make things easier and more efficient, but relying on it too much without backup plan is where the risk comes in.

AI can only make you feel lazy when you put all your hope on it. To be honest I don't think AI can do everything for us, there are many things that is bigger than AI which is gambling because I have not seen any body that can use it to get a win in gambling so is not everything that AI can do, it can only be helpful in those areas you mentioned that doesn't mean that we are not doing other things unless you are already lazy before AI would add more to it apart from that people are still hustling to get what they want.

AI is still improving although i doubt it will get too perfect in gambling prediction or if it exits it will be quite expensive that the common man wouldn't afford it or it won't be made completely available to the public. AI is only detrimental to those who rely solely on it without having their own thoughts or original idea just relying on prompted outputs.

I was using one of the AI tools to do some graphic design and it came out so beautiful as a result. I was very happy with the result I got through AI because creating it, it wasn't stressful and the result was productive.

 Normally, if you give me a computer device to do graphic design I wont be able to perform it better but with AI it was success. Since AI can give me good graphic design, I dont think it will have that urge to go learn graphic design.  I think AI already have the result of what people are supposed to do with their hands. There wont be reason to learn or to work because AI can give people what they want without stress.

Skill!!I am not sure that the use of AI has spread globally in the healthcare sector,I didn’t say that there are not in existence,ofcourse yes there are robotic systems that assist medical practitioners to carry out their duties and even assist surgeons in surgical theatre.But they are not completely competent and effective without the presence of a medical practitioner,that’s why I used the word “assist”,in essence they make the work more easier and faster.Personally,AI has been a great tool for research and I use them for educational purposes and a few research on matters that I find interesting.

Seriously all these AI stuff is not necessary at all, imagine if we completely accept the use of AI, it simply means we choose to be lazy and there are things we can do with our hands that we have to let AI to take over and by so doing it will affect human life completely. Some of us feel it is good, yes it is but for how long are we going to say let AI run the show? You let it do one or two things and it becomes permanent and ones that happens there's no going back. For me if there's a way of eliminating it it should be done without wasting time.
